It was better than the pictures indicated. Visited: February 2008 Posted by ritebrew Half Moon Villa is the quintessential Caribbean place to stay in St. Kitts. It offers lovely views, is convenient to the south side beaches, and has excellent beds (very important in making for a pleasant vacation!) with fully complete kitchen facilities. The rooms are bright and airy, and the porches are a delightful place to curl up with a book. I have only a small complaint in trying to cook a caserole in a toaster oven (we managed to, though!). It was spacious, comfortable, and in a scenic location. Visited: March 2005 Posted by sduemler The Half Moon Villa was larger than I expected from the description. It had three good sized bedrooms, each with a bathroom with a shower. A large great room had a well equiped kitchen, elegant dining table, comfortable sofa, three reading chairs, a barbeque grill (for taking outdoors) and more. They also had (among other things) beach towels, a cooler, and child car seats available for guests. The two outdoor patio areas were large and easy to access. They were shaded, but still had beautiful views, including an unobstructed view of the ocean, beaches and golf course. The house looked newly painted and clean - virtually no rust or dirty areas, a challenge in a warm moist environment. We didn't see any bugs except very rare tiny (innocuous) ants. The neighborhood was quiet, especially at night. We felt our setting was fairly private. The property representative (Joyce) made herself readily available for questions or help. The driveway was amusingly steep, but you'll get over it! One feature that prospective renters may note is that there was no air conditioning. We noticed the mid-afternoons got warm inside; but, the house opened up a lot, allowing varying degrees of breezes to keep things cool. Also, we didn't sit around all afternoon there, but were out and about, anyway. I don't think A/C would be something I'd put in if I owned this home - it would not be worth it. Places on the coast of island do need A/C since there is no breeze in some areas. Enjoyed a peaceful overlook of the sea and a splendid time. Visited: December 2002 Posted by glenaver For a family reunion, my family, my mother and I spent 3 weeks at Half-Noon Villa, over the Christmas period. We found the villa had excellent space for our two children (ages 4 and 5). And as the villa looked over to the sea, it had a beautiful sense of a peace.
