Comfortable convenient acommodations. Visited: January 2003 Posted by marilyns01 We spent a week at the Palms and wouldn't hesitate to return again. The rooms were very spacious, nicely if simply furnished, bathrooms were sizable and included both a shower and tub, the beds were great, and the rooms included the luxuries of 60 channels on cable and mini-fridges. We especially appreciated that even though there was air conditioning, the windows could be opened at night for fresh air. The downside of opening the windows was that the neighborhood roosters began crowing very early! The hotel was located in the heart of Basseterre, and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, the post office, bars and the Nevis ferry. We found delicious and inexpensive breakfasts at the nearby Oasis Cafe. At the Palms, you may find a broken floor tile or a corridor in need of paint, but it was a very good value for the price and overall, the rooms were attractive enough. 10 users found this review helpful. 1 found this review unhelpful.
