A St. Kitts travel review

My husband and I just returned from this hotel. We stayed for seven nights.
Last year, we stayed at the Marriott in St. Thomas (at the Frenchman's Reef) and loved it! So, we decided to stay at another Marriott in St. Kitts. My husband and I travel a lot, and are not very hard to please. Every vacation we have had has been great - until St. Kitts.
We were extremely disappointed in this hotel. We paid a lot of money to stay here. If we wanted to stay at a two-star quality resort, we would have gone somewhere else and paid half the amount.
I am going to tell you like it is - the good and the bad.
First the good. We had great weather every day. The hotel grounds and the layout of the resort were nice, but they did not keep up with maintenance at all.
If you go during the off season, the nightclub, the theater, and Blu Restaurant will all be closed.
Three sinks out of four in the ladies bathroom were closed the entire time. One of the Jacuzzis was out of order, and the other one was filthy. The pool was also filthy. At one point, there was a light fixture floating in the pool for two days.
In addition, two elevators were out of order. There was absolutely no entertainment at night - at all. Also, the staff at the hotel had to be the most unfriendly, miserable people I have ever come across on any vacation. They were just rude, rude people.
As far as the restaurants went - two were good, one was closed, and the rest were horrible!
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I'm not too sure about staying at a Marriott anymore. |
