Q: My husband and I will stay 4 nights in St. Lucia in Feb.We want a mid priced villa or small, quaint hotel with a great view.(on the beach or very close to it). we also want to be able to have more than a few restaraunts to choose from for lunch and dinner, and to be close to a village or town to wander around in.There seems to be a few different beaches and areas to choose from. I am looking for feedback from some knowledgeable St. Lucian experts. Which area/beach do you recommend? Answer

| A: What is your opinion on the oasis Margiot houses on Margiot bay. (I think there are 7 or 8 to choose from) They do look quite beautiful and reasonably priced.?? |

A: The only two areas I would consider are Cap Estate/Rodney Bay area or Soufriere. Everywhere else is very quiet.
Villas on St Lucia are 5 night minimum but they pretty well all come with a cook which is a lovely treat and it saves big money on not having to eat out. The villas I would recommend depend on your budget but check this out and call WhereToStay if you want more info - http://www.wheretostay.com/caribbean/stlucia/villas-c116-St_Lucia.html?price_low=&price_hi=&kw=&villa_br=1%2C2&villa_guests=&x=55&y=7
As for hotels, I love Anse Chastanet and The Bodyholiday but personally I think villas give you a much more intimate experience.
Have fun choosing, you have picked a wonderful island.
