Q: I am visting St Lucia for the 1st time with my during the Jazz festival in May, what hotels/villas are closeby to the venues that i can reserve. Answer

| A: Bay Gardens in Rodney Bay is a good choice. It is in the middle of everything and close to the venue. I have been staying there since 2002 during the Jazz festival. |

A: The performances for the St. Lucia Jazz Festival 2008 will take place at 6 different venues. The final performances will be on Pigeon Island which is on the North end of the island near Rodney Bay.Rodney Bay Village will also be a venue. I think I would stay in this area. There are also three venues (Derek Walcott Square, La Place Carenage, Duty Free Point) in the Castries area. This would be my second choice.

Jazz on the Square
A series of lunch time concerts with a carnival atmosphere of music, food and merriment, Jazz On the Square has become synonymous with St. Lucia Jazz. Located in the heart of Castries City at a picturesque square named for Derek Walcott, one of the island's Nobel Laureate (Literature 1993).
