This is an excellent small hotel. Visited: March 2007 Posted by cindabee Our two-day stay at this hotel was wonderful. Visited: September 2005 Posted by mastermanalan As a regular world traveler who stays in a wide and varied selection of accommodations - from hotels to apartments (and this year even a cave hotel for the first time!), I had to write about the Bay Gardens Inn in St. Lucia. I stayed at the Bay Gardens Inn in September 2005 (room 150) and it was just first class in every way. The hotel was small. If you like hotels with hundreds of impersonal rooms, lots of people and noise this is not for you. However, if you want to relax, chill out, and enjoy a personal service, I can recommend this hotel. From walking into reception, I was greeted like a friend, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The staff and manager were polite, attentive, and efficient and in one word - fantastic. I have seen so many receptions where it was hard to even get noticed, let alone be looked after. It was such a refreshing change to see how professionals do it. You are a person, not a room number. That counts for a great deal when I stay in hotels. They have got it just right. The rooms were first class, clean, comfortable, air conditioned, and well maintained. They had everything - a fridge, kettle, an iron, and plenty of hot water and shower gel. At so many hotels I have visited, I have had to ask for more hangers, more towels, or an ironing board. This place had it all waiting for you, with complete information on the services, maps, menus, etc. The pool and gardens were so well maintained and mature, all you need to do is relax. It is hard to sum up how highly I recommend this hotel. I am so used to writing poor reviews for hotels where the management seemed to not care. It is so pleasing to praise a hotel. But it was such a good hotel, that words fail me. All I can say is, if you get to St. Lucia, you must stay at the Bay Gardens Inn. This is the best place to stay on the island! Visited: September 2004 Posted by jlzacks61 This month I had the pleasure of staying at the Bay Gardens Inn for the third time. I have continued to return to this facility for several reasons. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is extremely outgoing and friendly, and the location is terrific. The rooms are spacious, colorful and very comfortable. Each room has a private balcony and is equiped with a refrigerator and blow dryer. The pool and garden are welcoming and relaxing to lounge at. The bar is small and cozy - as is the restauraunt - but the selections are plentiful. The food is good and reasonably priced. The staff is always available, yet never hovering or conspicuous. The reception staff is available to help arrange tours, transportation or take care of whatever needs you may have. The location on Rodney Bay is spectacular. The Inn is near retaurants, shopping, the beach and lots of local flavor. On the weekends you are only a short distance from enjoying local night life full of music, dancing and island fun. Visited: August 2004 Posted by kerrie_blackman I just returned from a weekend getaway in St. Lucia with my boyfriend and I would say that the best part of our weekend together was our stay at Bay Gardens Inn. The room had a balcony and was very comfortable, clean, relaxing, and very cozy. And the staff was very, very friendly. The surroundings were well kept with beautiful flowers. We wish we could have stayed a little longer. The room was comfortable and very clean, and the hotel provided a very relaxing environment with a pool and well kept gardens in the central courtyard. The friendly staff was very helpful and provided information on how to get around the island. It was an easy ten-minute walk to the beach past shops and restaurants. This is our "home away from home". Visited: November 2003 Posted by gailgg We stayed here for five days in November for our anniversary. Our room was beautifully decorated for the occasion. The rooms were always well kept - very clean and tidy and the staff treated us like family. Everyone was always willing to accommodate us and to offer advice and information on the island. The bus to Castries was within easy access - right on the main road by the hotel and there were taxis on the outside as well. This is a first-class small hotel. Visited: November 2003 Posted by bullsheadpub The Bay Gardens Inn is the place to stay, if you are looking for a great base in Rodney Bay. In 20 years of visiting the island, I feel this has to be the friendliest hotel. The staff cannot be faulted; they do treat you as friends. Nothing is too much trouble for them, from taking messages, or helping with information. The rooms are five Star, comfortable, clean, air conditioned, and well serviced. Outside your patio, there are wonderful gardens and pool, where you can relax and read or swim and enjoy the sun. They also have great bar/meal service. I do not think you will find a friendlier hotel in St Lucia. Do not tell too many people, as I am looking forward to a return visit very soon, and do not want to find no room at the inn! Visited: March 2003 Posted by alaninmanchester We stayed here for three weeks in March. Everything was wonderful, (apart from building work). The rooms were a four-star, and the staff, a five-star. The location was not close to the beach, but with a relaxing pool/gardens next to the room, there was no point in going to the beach. There was also a free bus to the beach - which was a ten-minute walk away. We felt like part of the family.
