Having spent one week at Villa Beach Cottages previously and loving it, we went back this year and brought friends with us.
We had a lovely two-bedroom unit in the brand new section of the property. Although there were finishing touches still to be done, our unit was equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.
There was still lots of activity getting the Internet cafe, laundry room, and little shop ready for the grand opening ceremony and party. However, there was very little noise to disturb us. Also, the gardens were being replanted just in time for the party.
The staff at the hotel was wonderful; and Colin Hunte, the manager, was a great ambassador for the island. He was full of interesting stories and gave his guests an orientation meeting that was "Choc-full" of information about what to see and do.
We cannot say enough good things about this wonderful place, and have already booked for next year. |

I had the pleasure of staying at Villa Beach Cottages from January 22nd - 26th, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Despite the ongoing building work - which is almost finished - once on the beach, you couldn't hear it. The new suites look absolutely lovely, too.
That said, my suite was very nice and very well equiped - the kitchen in particular. Cable TV and internet were nice to have to keep in touch with home.
The beach right outside the hotel was lovely, and the new pool area at the hotel looked very pretty (it wasn't quite finished but should be within a few days I'd say).
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel was great for restaurants, beach time, and Castries. I was fortunate to have a car, but it is a short car/taxi ride to many restaurants.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone! |

This was a lovely property with a lot of character and a personal touch.
The grounds were very well kept and landscaped nicely. The beach-facing area of the property had palm trees, grass, hammocks and cushioned chaise lounges. I savored a couple of evenings swinging in a hammock - tropical drink in hand - enjoying a cool breeze while listening to the crashing surf.
There were outdoor showers for cleaning off the sand, and a plunge pool.
Our room was spacious and comfortable. We appreciated having a kitchenette. There was also a gas grill that the guests could use. The staff was a delight and made us feel like we were among family. Colin helped us make the most of our short stay (four nights) by showing us what to see and and helping make the arrangements.
There was a nice beachfront restaurant right next door that had a good breakfast and lunch, but they were closed for dinner. There was also a strip mall with a grocery store a short walk down the road - although crossing could be a bit nerve-wracking.
I recommend taking the local buses (they were similar to VW buses popular with surfers). They were cheap and you get to rub elbows with the locals. Taxis were expensive.
I highly recommend Froggy Jacques for dinner (great ambience and food) in Castries. The Dasheene is a must for lunch, but is at least an hour's drive away.
We did not notice any obvious nightlife near the Villa Beach, I think you need to go Rodney Bay or Reduit Beach for that. |

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at Villa Beach Cottages. Collin and his delightful staff have done a marvelous job creating the right balance between the feeling of a luxurious small hotel and a cozy, personalized B & B.
We couldn't believe the size and comfort of our room! (top floor ocean view in main building). We used the kitchen to cook breakfast each morning and dine, oh so relaxed, on the balcony.
It took some discipline to leave that spot and do things each day, given that the gorgeous water kept turning new and lovely shades of blue as the day progressed.
A highlight for us was the all-day driving tour down to the Pitons, with our excellent and good-natured driver, Patrick. This was arranged through the hotel. Villa Beach was ideally located for day trips to other parts of the island. It was an easy bus or taxi ride up to Rodney Bay.
On our next trip to St. Lucia, there is no question where we'll stay! Well done! |

This is a great place to stay for the individuals who enjoy exploring the island as well as relaxing in a quiet personal setting right on the ocean - the waves lull you to sleep at night.
There are water sports, more beach, and a good restaurant located next door. It is also minutes to: Castries Market Place (4th best in the World) for fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and an array of other fun stuff; Grocery and Retail outlets; Friday night "Jump Up" party; and convenient to Mid Island Highway for accessing majestic eastern coastline.
In addition, the on-site manager provides excellent information and hand-notated map to ensure pleasurable off-site adventures. They offer clean, safe and great service, including concierge to great local restaurants (be sure to go to Laurel's).
If you go to St. Lucia looking for something other than all-inclusive, you'll love Villa Beach Cottages. |

This was our second time at Villa Beach, and if anything, it was better than the first time.
Colin and all his staff could not do enough to make our holiday spectacular. Accommodation and surroundings were both great! We will most certainly be back! |

Villa Beach is the ideal vacation spot in paradise! Everything written about it is absolutely true- and the pictures feature it exactly.
Colin and his staff all hug you when you leave, and you get kisses the second year- at least we did! We loved to purchase the local foods in the market a short walk away and eat on our private porch.
It was also fun to take the local bus into Castries, a 15-minute ride. All the St. Lucians are friendly and eager to help a tourist. The craft shops are fun, and the bargains abound. Colin offers to make reservations for dinner for you, just as you would for a visiting relative! So far our favorite is Coal Pot. His taxi drivers are so helpful- he has his own group- we were just thoroughly entertained by Moses on several tours.
The Friday night fish fry in Anse la Raye is not to be missed. We went with Moses and a group!
Also, their housekeepers were all so friendly and helpful- we miss Clara so much! She was also the in-house caterer, a great cook- so order a dinner with her out under the stars by the sea!
You will have a wonderful time if you want a small caring environment. You can plan as many activities as you like- or just relax on the beach with rum and a paperback. Nothing could be better than this! We have booked ahead for next year so you can't take our spot! |

We returned to Villa Beach Cottages for our second visit for this Christmas and New Year and had another wonderful time.
I have now visited almost every hotel and location in St. Lucia and I can truly say that there is nothing to beat sitting on your own balcony of the villa suites here with a cool Piton looking out at the ever changing views and the waves crashing on the beach right in front of you.
The villa suites are very well equipped for self catering, or you are within easy reach of many excellent restaurants. Rooms are well furnished with comfortable beds, nice tiled bathrooms, and a few luxuries of good air conditioning, cable TV, phone, and electronic safe.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped and you can relax in hammocks under the palm trees or on excellent new sun loungers on the deck by the refreshing plunge pool. Our two boys (ages 15 and 9) spent many an hour on the beautiful white sandy beach of Choc Bay swimming and body surfing in the waves.
Colin Hunte manages very efficient and friendly staff who all go out of their way to look after your every need with advice on places to visit, where to eat, making bookings for you, etc.
We can thoroughly recommend this hotel to everyone and can't wait to return again! |

A wonderful home from home on a beautiful island. Visited: October 2003 |

Villa Beach gave us a very warm welcome during our stay in St. Lucia. Being family run, Villa Beach offered us the personal touch that larger resorts could only dream of doing. The owner, Colin, gave us a definitive guide to the island and booked tables, arranged activities and was always on hand to help make our stay a wonderfully restful holiday.
It was close to many very good restaurants and good shops were just round the corner. The Pitons were a must and even the "undulating" drive there along the coastal hills was fabulous.
All in all, my wife and I will undoubtedly be back to Villa Beach soon to soak in the Caribbean sun, beaches and sincere warmth of this perfect hideaway home from home. |

Corey and I wanted our honeymoon to be perfect. We are both well travelled and have backpacked through Asia, New Zealand and Australia. We cruised the Caribbean and have traveled across a lot of Canada and the states. My point is that we are not easily impressed anymore and are quite anti-resort.
If you can relate to us, then Villa Beach Cottages is the right choice for you. It is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The staff is excellent, very friendly and classy. The beach is great and the water is just the perfect temperature.
The island is gorgeous from many aspects. Snorkeling is incredible and the best stuff we saw was with a great guy name Popo. The food is to die for and the hills and forests are beautiful. The island is not crowded, and the local people are very friendly. Hustling is at a minimum.
We stayed our last two days at La Dauphine which is in the hills at the other end of the island, which is also owned by the same owner of Villa Beach cottages. It was a great experience, too. I want to recommend this hotel and island to everyone! |

In June 2001, Karl and I came across this property on the internet. We stayed here for two weeks. It was perfect, and was exactly what we wanted - peace, relaxation, sun, sea and fine local dining.
In September (2003), we returned with our families and got married at a local catholic church, with a reception at the villa beach cottages. The staff was wonderful, they became our family while we were there and they could not do enough for us. Also, the wedding coordination was excellent! It was far beyond our expectations.
I would recommend this property to anybody, it was less expensive than staying at the island's famous all-inclusive hotels. And in stark contrast to these resorts, it gave guests the freedom to enjoy the real St. Lucia.
And, if you are getting married, you are guaranteed to be the only couple getting married that day! We can't wait to go back. |

Sincerely, there are no words to desribe my two-week stay at the Villa Beach Cottages!
The entire staff left me with a strong sense of warmth, safety, and contentment. They were always there taking good care of me, from making sure I had everything I could possibly need or want, from carrying my beach chair to the few steps to the water, to climbing a coconut tree so I could have fresh coconut milk to drink.
Their sincerity was real, for I could hear it in their voices, see it in their smiles, and most of all I could feel their sincerity from sunrise to sunset!
The staff made me feel so much at home that I departed feeling I had left a part of my family behind! Indeed, I had!
Life seems to get so busy that most people seem to forget that it is the little things that are done for you that become the biggest things remembered and cherished, but not at the Villa Beach Cottages, they're number one!
My entire two-week stay at the Villa Beach cottages was breathtaking and I left with such a strong sense of well being, that I will return to the Villa Beach Cottages over and over again.

We had planned our beach wedding for many months. The friendly and attentive staff was very helpful in getting all the details together. And on that day, we could not have asked for anything more beautiful. The staff made a dream become a reality.
St. Lucia was a very lovely island to visit. The gardens, the waterfalls and the mountains added so much to our vacation.
The Honeymoon Villa and the ocean at our doorstep could not have made a more romatic setting.
If vacationing for relaxation or a special event, we highly recommend the Villa Beach Cottages. |

February or summer - it is a delightful vacation. Visited: February 2003 |

If you are vacation planning for the summer is a problem with the rest of the world seeming risky, a delightful vacation may be found at the Villa Beach Cottages on St. Lucia.
Ocean breezes cool the elegant villas and cottages. Summer rates are reduced and all villas are air-conditioned and have eat-in facilities.
Elegant local restaurants serve meals of international and local cuisine. The summers are not uncomfortably hot, and oh!! the beauty of the flowers. Lush ornamental vines, shrubs, and trees create an exceptionally glorious background.
I have been visiting the Villa Beach Cottages every year now for over ten years. It is an important and delightful part of my life. |

Our two-week stay was everything we could ask for. The staff and management were sincerely friendly, kind, caring and attentive to all our needs. We felt very secure at all times.
The grounds were perfectly groomed, and the accommodations were spotless. They had easy access to the beach, which was also well groomed and tidy. The staff was very informative and helpful at all times. The little shop on-site carried a variety of food, beverages, wine and local beer. It was near the local bus stops, and a short walk to a shopping mall.
All in all, it was a great place to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul! |

For 20 years, my special winter vacation has been in this resort. Sometimes on my own, and other times with family members. The manager and staff are friendly and helpful. The beach and water are just steps away, and water sports are available. The cottages are bright and well equipped for your needs, and they have an excellent little library. It is the perfect place to relax, renew and re-energize. |

For an unpretentious, friendly, small Caribbean resort, I highly recommend the Villa Beach Cottages. Nestled under coconut palms on beautiful Choc Bay, and just steps from the water was located our cottage -- the perfect setting for our special family gathering.
We so appreciated the super-friendly staff and the attention given our requests for touring and restaurants and nearby water rentals. But most of all, we enjoyed the opportunity to relax and restore. This place was special! |
