We loved LeSport and will return. Visited: May 2008 |

We just returned from a week’s stay at BodyHoliday. We loved everything about the resort, and tried to take advantage of all they had to offer, but that was impossible.
we tried: scuba shore dive, tubing, sailing lesson, snorkeling, and many workout classes (body stretch, body burn, yoga, meditation, tai chi, body circuits, body attack, martial fun, pilates). We also tried all the included spa treatments, intro to golf, intro to archery, and morning walks.
The spa treatments were pre-scheduled. You can change them, but it is difficult. It worked well for us. We also had time to relax on the beach and at the pool and catch some rays.
The resort lagoon had its own reef that was also used by the Sandals resort. We saw octopus, rockfish, flounder, moray eels, squid, and numerous varieties of fish and coral.
We loved the food at Deli, Cariblue and Tao especially. Cariblue had great breakfast and lunch buffets with many options. Book at Tao early, as it fills up fast. We never tried an entrée that cost extra, as we found the included selections to be enough.
A very few of the entrees on the Cariblue menu were just so, so; but, it was obvious that they would have brought another for us if it wasn’t to our taste as the service was excellent. We always found we had plenty to eat, and this wasn’t necessary.
We got a renovated room and we were very pleased. The mattress comfort was okay, and furniture selection was not well thought out. The leather cushions were nice to look at, but not all that comfortable.
The grounds were gorgeous. |

We found the photographs to be deceiving. Visited: March 2005 |

I just spent a week at The BodyHoliday – Le SPORT resort from March 6 –March 13, 2005. The facilities, the spa treatments, the gift store, the food, and the “all inclusive” as described on the web site were all completely inaccurate and very misleading.
The best part about the property was the scuba diving department. The service in the restaurant was plentiful, but the food was absolutely terrible.
If we tried to change your spa treatment, good luck! We basically had to forfeit our treatment. This spa staff did not seem to be into giving the customer any pampering and or special treatment.
In addition, the guys at the concierge always had an answer to our questions, yet it was usually the wrong, made-up answer.
Also, they said the restaurant was all-inclusive, well it wasn't. At the main restaurant, The Cariblu, they seemed to pick and choose which courses were included for that evening, and then put a purchase price next to other desirable choices.
We thought the staff did not understand the words “to accommodate and to give service”. We were never given choices nor the opportunity to change a menu item, and or change anything period.
I went to hear the Master series. I went for the Weight Management in the 21st Century. This was given by Dr. Penny Kendall Reed, and she was superb. I couldn’t have asked for a better, more fulfilling learning experience.
Although the rest was supposed to be fluff, it was anything but that. The food didn’t even coincide with the weight management program we were supposed to follow for the week. Go figure! W attributed it to: "Ah, we are in the Caribbean".
I wasalso told how great it was to be able to walk around without your purse because you didn't need any cash. That was not true at all. I would frequent the gift store to purchase water and or soda for my room. If I didn't pay for these items in cash, I could charge them to my room. The only problem was that if I charged them to my room, there was an additional 5% added on to the bill. What was that all about?
The rest of the week was a big disappointment. Actually, I received a room upgrade, which was a great surprise. Although I have heard the club plans to make changes to accommodate the client, they seem to be in the thinking stage. I hope they are near the implementing phase sooner rather than later. The club needs a major face lift. |

A holiday for non-stop activity or total relaxation! Visited: August 2004 |

Having looked through reviews before, I was disappointed at the lack of information on LeSPORT. But we had already received a recommendation from friends, so were confident in our choice.
We visited for nine nights in August with our best friends and their two daughters - ages 19 and 15. Children ages 12 and over are only allowed certain weeks of the school holiday period - otherwise only guests over 16 are allowed.
We had the most fantastic time, and took advantage of lots of the activities on offer from tennis tuition to water sports - even Tai Chi on the beach at sunset. Without exception, we found the staff to be polite, friendly and genuinely wanting guests to have a good time.
The choice of food was very good in all restaurants (with the Tao being a real treat and no problem reserving a table when required). There was no need to pay any supplements, as the choice available was more than enough in our opinion.
We also enjoyed the Deli for lunch, situated right on the beach where we could enjoy a light snack and a smoothie.
We have visited the Caribbean a number of times, and this was our third visit to St Lucia. And, in our opinion, this hotel offered the perfect combination for a holiday. There was plenty to do, yet there was a very relaxed atmosphere so we could chill out very easily too, not forgetting your daily treatment at the Oasis which couldn't fail to relax us!
My tip is to pre-select your choice of treatments before you go, which is very easily done by visiting Le Sport's own web page. We did this and they gave us exactly what we asked for and were very accommodating if we wanted to change a time or treatment. I believe they are due to close some time during 2005 for a refurbishment, as there were a few areas that needed a little attention (but certainly nothing to detract from the overall standard).
One other little bit of advice is regarding the mosquitos. They sprayed regularly at the resort, which I'm sure did help. But I was advised to ensure I applied tropical formula repellent under sunscreen during the day, as well as for the evening, as there was a daytime mozzie in that area of the Caribbean. Also, tiny sand flies will get you on the beach. We also used a plug in the room at night and sprayed our rooms before going to dinner. Apart from just one or two bites between us all, we didn't have any problems.
We would certainly all love to return - which must be recommendation enough! |

An excellent vacation for active singles. Visited: June 2003 |

I loved my stay at LeSport. As a frequent solo female traveler, I'm used to fending for myself and being somewhat lonely at times at the usual "couples oriented" resorts.
From my first afternoon here, both the guests and staff made me feel like I belonged. The guests who choose this spa were extremely outgoing, both the singles and couples. The communal table was a great way to meet people, and by my second day here I found myself greeting people everywhere I went like old friends.
A caution regarding bugs: One big problem (not confined to LeSport, but an issue throughout island), were the sand fleas/flies - I never got it straight. You absolutely must bring bug repellent and something to soothe the bites (like calamine lotion).
Remember - don't bring aerosol, or it will be confiscated at check in. The bugs don't seem to be a problem during the day, but before going to dinner, spray your calves, ankles, feet and arms due to mosquitoes.
I found the food at the main dinner restaurant to be hit or miss, but TAO was superb! I also ordered coffee every morning to start my day, then found my way down to the dining room later for a full breakfast. I preferred lunch at the deli by the watersports area, rather than the buffet. They served smoothies, delicious light salads and made-to-order sandwiches.
I took the all day Tout Bagay tour through SunLink. While the tour itself was very professional and the guides were wonderful, the island just wasn't that interesting and not worth missing one of the daily spa treatments.
The tour was about a two-hour catamaran ride each way to and from the town of Soufrieres, then a bus ride to a cocoa plantation with lunch and volcano. If you want to see the island, I'd suggest a half-day powerboat ride down to Soufrieres, or if you just like being on a catamaran, a half-day cruise on the boat. Then you won't miss your daily spa treatment.
There were so many activies - yoga, aerobics, stretching, walking/running, golf, archery, fencing, sailing and tubing. I found that all the instructors were extremely good. None of the classes were overly full, and the equipment was well maintained.
My only complaint was that the gym was pretty small and only two of three treadmills worked. But there were really so few people in there at any one time, that it was okay. I ended up taking walks in the morning by myself (I walked too fast for daily scheduled walk), and had no trouble.
Tell your single male friends they'll have a field day here. There were a lot of single women and only about three single men! |

We will definitely be back! Visited: May 2003 |

We were greeted with champagne and shown straight to our room - there was no paperwork to complete at all. I don't know what category our room was. I don't think it was the one we paid for, because I nearly cried when I saw it. We had the most perfect ocean view from our balcony! There was also fresh fruit and champagne in the fridge. A wonderful start to our honeymoon!
A word of advice. They tell you to collect your schedule of treatments the next day before 1:00 p.m., but get it the night you arrive. We were lucky we did because our first one was for 12:00 p.m. the next day. The treatments were nice and it was good to try things that we hadn't had before. Although, I did get the feeling that the masseurs were "going through the motions" a little bit.
The food here was the best I have had at an all-inclusive. Cariblue was a three-course meal with excellent service. There were six or seven wines which were included that guests could have by glass or whole bottle. All the wines I tried were very nice, but you can pay a supplement for others if you prefer. The wine waiter remembered which wine we ordered by the glass and came around to top-up without me even noticing.
There was also the Clubhouse where there was a barbecue. And, the service there was excellent, too. We didn't have to stand at the bar to get a drink, the bar staff came around and took our order.
The grounds were beautiful, the views from the Oasis were stunning and we could hear the sea from anywhere on the property.
The pool was lovely for swimming in and the jacuzzi next to it was perfect for watching the sunset over the ocean. The only thing was that there weren't a lot of sunbeds around the pool (although plenty on the beach and lawn), and the beds with the shades got taken by 8:00 a.m. That was a bit disappointing when we had a late night and didn't get up until 9:00 a.m.!
However, the liklihood of getting too many late nights was minimal here because it was not what you would call lively. There were some good bands playing each night (Tuesday was my favorite). There was also a disco that was open until 1:00 a.m., but most people seemed to disappear by 11:00 p.m., so there wasn't a lot happening. Maybe the mosquitos were driving people away. I was bitten 16 times one night and 19 another! Our repellent didn't seem to work.
But I suppose that if you take part in a lot of the daytime activities, you might be tired by then. I'm not sure if a TV in the room would defeat the object of the Bodyholiday, but it would have been a nice option for those of us who were a bit bored in the evenings.
I felt that this was somewhere I could go on my own and have plenty to do without feeling lonely. All the staff was extremely friendly and I can't wait to go back. |

It's still "number one". Visited: March 2003 |

This was our third time back, and we were not disappointed. It got even better....with a free Sunset Catamaran Cruise for returners.
There were tons of drinks and snacks, plus great dancing / music onboard for two hours out to sea. And the sunset - it was just gorgeous. Be advised, though - take your anti-seasick stuff, because two folks were feeling seasick and they were returned via kayak offshore from the resort.
The scheduling for spa treatments has changed, for the better. Hubby had the back massage and loved it so much he requested it again, and he is not a spa kind of guy. There were new spa staffers from last time, and all very professional and pleasant.
Boo Hinkson and the Band still played their wonderful music two times a week, and the entertainment gigs on other days were good also.
The best improvement since our last visit was that there was no Smoking at dinner until AFTER 9:30 p.m.
The Cariblue was okay some days for dinner, TAO was good for dinner, but we liked the BBQ days at the Club House for dinner better.
The deli was good for lunch; it was better at the Cariblue; and breakfast was still the best.
This time we went home via Hewanorra instead of Castries. During the day, it was a breathtaking ride, and we would consider coming/going this way again - but I did take the Bonine due to the pretty winding roads.
The sea was warm and inviting in the early a.m. and late p.m. Just do not forget the insect repellent - no-seeums and mosquitos were still annoying at night. Less perfume and after shave we found helped in this regard, too.
Even with the start of the Iraqi war, we still were relaxed, and 12 days was not enough. |

We had a very enjoyable stay. Anyone wanting a blend of fitness, spa, good food, and friendly staff won't be disappointed.
We had only one negative experience, and unfortunately it was at the beginning of the stay (as the saying goes, first impressions count...). We were informed at Hewanorra airport that the resort was overbooked and as a result, we were booked into their sister resort, the Rendezvous, for the first night.
Apparently, there was a computer problem (...uh huh, right..) that affected not only us, but at least 1/2 dozen or so fellow travellers. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed in this, especially after a long flight and high expectations.
Of course, compensation was offered but in the end, we decided that what we really wanted was the vacation we had already paid for. Happily, one of the resort's managers (Andrew...thank you...)was able to oblige our request to stay at LeSport from start to finish (instead of from day 2 onwards).
While one day may not seem much (especially with some compensation), we would have lost out on at least one day of spa treatments as these could not be rescheduled. There was a maximum of 2 treatments per day, so any lost days were virtually impossible to reschedule (as well, spa treatments were not scheduled on arrival and departure days).
Once at the resort, the experience mostly lived up to our high expectations. The spa treatments were wonderful and relaxing, given by friendly and well trained staff. The food was good (especially Tao restaurant). However, the service at the main restaurant, Cariblue, was a bit spotty.
The 'bodyguards', or activity coordinators were very friendly and helpful in suggesting ways to improve whatever activity we were doing. There were activities scheduled every day, from 8 am to 5 pm. You could choose to join any of them or none of them.
The grounds were very well kept. The beach was a bit small, but it was secluded so you won't get peddlers on the beach.
LeSport, thank you for a wonderful time (even with the hiccup at the beginning).

We just returned from a week at Le Sport - and it was absolutely incredible. The staff was great, the treatments were fantastic and the food was too good for words!
We did find the room a little dated, but I think that can be somewhat expected at a beach resort. Everything else more than made up for that. And, to be honest, for the amount of time you actually spend in your room, who cares?
Make sure to do the "walk on the wild side" day trip while you are here - there was nothing better than picking a grapefruit right off the tree and eating it. Richard, our guide, was hilarious and informative!
We would go back in a second - and will the first chance we get. |

I felt like a princess! Visited: May 2002 |

Le Sport was a dream come true. Many of the guests (mostly British and American) were repeat visitors (one woman had been there 14 times). And many were staying at least two weeks.
Maybe a little over half of the guests were couples, but there were many single women. There was also a "community table" at most meals if you would like to meet and speak with other guests. The majority of the guests were ages 30s-50s.
The property was relatively small. When we arrived, the hotel was apparently in an overbooked situation (which they solved by moving some guests to the Wyndham with a future free stay). However, there were so many different places to be, that the beach and the various areas never felt crowded.
The food was excellent (we loved the coffee!), the service was great, and the spa treatments were nicely scheduled and well done. They were very accommodating in changing treatments for medical reasons.
The rainy season arrived a little early this year. I was disappointed before the trip to see 10 days of rain forecasted. It was a little cloudy with sprinkels now and then, but overall, it was sunny with a cool breeze.
There were a lot of optional trips available. It was hard to choose between the beach/spa and exploring the island. Next time, I want to do the day trip to Soufrier (the jeep trip got great reviews) and sail to Martinique.
There was a free internet connection in the business office (as you face the lobby, take the stone path to the right). Also, they took "casual elegant" seriously--dresses were appropriate for women (long or short, sequined or not).
St. Lucia was beautiful and clean. Unlike Jamaica, I never felt unsafe or hassled by aggressive venders. The beach at Le Sport was technically public, but very private because of its geography.
Go and stay a nice, long time. |

Le Sport is for real men, too. Visited: May 2002 |

Le Sport is a very nice place to spend a week on vacation, even if you think you are a 'real' man who would never think of getting a 'spa' treatment.
The spa treatments consist of various massages including Swedish, Chandra, foot, and aromatherapy. They are better than what your wife or girlfriend may provide, but not quite as good as they could be (according to my wife who gets professionally massaged from time to time.) It is still worth it, though.
However, if the choice is between a morning on the golf course or a spa treatment, choose the golf. The golf at St. Lucia Golf and Country Club is top notch (greens fees are included..carts cost US$25 and club rentals are US$20). They rent Dunlop golf clubs with steel shaft irons and graphite shaft woods (firm and regular flexes are available).
The course is in great shape. The greens are a little inconsistent in speed, though, but have quite a few undulations and breaks to contend with. If you can hit your driver about 250 yards or longer, then play the back tees, there are a few doglegs to contend with, which are easier if playing back.
There are also water hazards on several holes including par threes and fives. Several elevation changes from tee to green make the course interesting as well. I highly recommend playing this course if you have the chance. It's also about a ten-minute walk or three-minute taxi ride from Le Sport.
Other things to do at Le Sport, aside from the spa treatments, are the watersports. Watersports include an introduction class to scuba diving, snorkeling, tubing, kayaking, waterskiing, hobie cat and windsurfing. Lessons are scheduled daily for most of the sports if you don't know how to do them.
Other sports include a daily volleyball game, archery lessons, and fencing lessons. The snorkeling is pretty good, even though you kind of have to stay inside the ropes (to avoid being hit by the watersports boat and novice sailors). Someone said they saw a sea turtle and I saw a small school of squid every day and other colorful fish.
The food is excellent for all meals, although not gourmet (which would be too much anyway). The nice thing is that breakfast and lunch are buffet and if you try something that isn't quite right, you can go up and get another choice of something better.
There is also a barbecue every night at the "clubhouse" which consists of more local dishes. It is excellent. Be sure to take advantage of the morning walks (hikes) to work off all these meals, they usually start at around 7:00 a.m.
Also, the all-inclusive includes all drinks from Jack Daniels to frozen rum punch. Enjoy! |

Please read other reviews for the detailed description. They are very accurate.
Everything was just perfect. It is so hard to describe how perfect LeSport really is.

I highly recommend LeSport. The hotel, staff, management, facilities, beach, food, etc., were all the very highest level!
I received a packet with the treatments that I would be receiving at the Oasis, which was a lovely place atop a hill on the hotel property. The Oasis was built like a Moorish Palace and was absolutely awesome!
There was a booklet with the information on the classes and activities that were available from about 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. They had everything you could want - meditation, Yoga, T'ai Chi, stretch class, the list goes on.
LeSport recognizes that there are single travelers and they had rooms specifically geared to us without charging the "singles supplement". The single rooms were beautiful. They were really large enough for two. They were quite comfortable and beautifuly furnished with a four poster bed. The bathroom had shower/tub that was very large and comfortable, I could see and hear the ocean from my room. It was absolutely awesome.
All meals were included and the food was fresh, tasty and of gourmet quality. Breakfast was served at the Cariblue which was a beautiful open-air restaurant. I enjoyed the fresh pineapple and banana! Omelets were made to order and they offered an array of fish, meats and other surprises to treat your taste buds.
I just loved the buffet lunches at Cariblue. The menu changed daily and each day it was a treat. Also, wine was served at lunch. The wines were lovely, I tasted wines from Chile and South Africa while I was there.
On the beach in the morning the WaterSports team offered a lot of services which were all included. They had a speed boat and took guests water-skiing or tubing. And then there was snorkeling - which was really quite good! They also had hobie cats and kayaks!
The beach was beautiful and well kept, and they had servers coming around offering water or drinks to everyone on the beach!
In the evening, they offered entertainment that varied every night from a trio of guitarists, or a jazz trio to African drummers. There was a piano bar and also music for dancing at the Clubhouse.
The clientele was friendly and varied. I met other women who were traveling solo like myself and there were honeymooners, older married couples, businessmen and all kinds of other people who were enjoying their stay in LeSport.
Did I like LeSport? Yes! Do I recommend LeSport? Yes! Will I go back to LeSport? Yes! |

This was absolutely the most magical vacation we have ever had. The surroundings were beautiful, the staff was friendly and attentive, the guests were interesting and the spa treatments were heavenly. I really wouldn't have changed a thing.
From the moment we were met as our car pulled in, greeted by name, handed cool drinks and escorted to our room, we felt pampered. Little extras like the fruit and champagne sent to our room by the hotel staff on my 30th birthday were nice touches.
This was not a resort for people wanting to get drunk and party all night. While there were plenty of activities and nightly entertainment it was really a tranquil, peaceful place. I noticed someone else described it as boring, but I fail to see how. It was much more quiet and sophisticated than any other all-inlcusive resorts I have been to (which was definitely a good thing!). It was definitely not boring.
We were about 25 years younger than the average guest and didn't mind that a bit. In fact, met many lovely people.
I enjoyed every one of the spa treatments and didn't mind that the schedule was pre-set . I could easily fit in the golf lessons, eating, sleeping, swimming and lying in the sun that occupied the rest of my days around the spa. My husband was definitely not the spa type and he went to almost every treatment too!
Our room was a luxury gardenview, which I believe was the lowest category, yet we had a beautiful canopied king bed, a large marble bathroom with double sink and a large balcony with a table and chairs. It was not overly luxurious, but certainly clean and comfortable in every way.
The beach was not large, but was never crowded at all while we were there. And the resort's location meant the beach was completely private, not on a strip packed with other resorts. The sand was a golden brown and there were very few shells or seaweed. There were reefs within an easy swim of the beach that made for excellent snorkeling.
We may never want to go anywhere else on vacation again. |

Don't go for the spa treatments-you"ll be disappointed Visited: November 2001 |

One of the main selling features is the spa & included treatments. During my stay I was very disappointed to arrive & find that they had already scheduled my treatments for me. I was told not to worry as treatments could be re-scheduled, in practice this was not the case. By day three I gave it up and cancelled all my treatments-the ones that I had had were not particularly good and the staff could certainly not be accused of being over-friendly! I also found that having to keep to your schedule meant that in actual fact instead of relaxing you were clock watching all the time-which is defeating the object of going to a spa somewhat!
The beach was not the best in the world, but adequate. The food I can also only describe as adequate in content although there was lots of choice-apparently the food at Tao is excellent but it was impossible to get a booking! |

A good choice for our honeymoon. Visited: November 2001 |

We came to Le Sport for our honeymoon and overall were very happy with our choice. Having never been to St. Lucia before, we didn't mind the one-and-a-half-hour drive from the airport to the resort, as it gave us a chance to get a close-up look at the island's diverse scenery and street life. We were treated graciously upon checking in and were escorted to our rooms fairly promptly.
We booked a luxury oceanfront room, but didn't feel that it was worth the difference in price--next time we'd save money and go with the oceanview instead. The room itself was pretty, although in this price range, we expected a few more amenities and finishing touches--on our desk we found writing paper but no pen; the bathroom had very few toiletries; the mini-fridge was not stocked. Still, we were hardly in the room except to sleep and shower, so it wasn't a big problem.
We really liked the activities schedule at Le Sport--you can choose from a wide range of watersports, fitness classes, relaxation classes, land sports and so on, or you can do absolutely nothing if that's what you're after. The beach is a dark golden color, not really black, and very peaceful and secluded.
We thought the quality of the food and drinks was great, with tons of choices to satisfy pretty much everyone. Dinner in the Cariblue restaurant wasn't quite as good as breakfast and lunch, which were outstanding buffets. We ate at TAO twice and loved it--the menu is innovative and the service and atmosphere are first-rate. It's tough to book, though, so you really have to be diligent about checking with the staff.
Our only real complaints were about the spa. Although your treatment schedule is planned before your arrival, you can adjust it to some degree. We had no trouble changing a couple of our treatments, but we had a lot of problems with double-booking (even for treatments we hadn't changed). My husband arrived for a sea-jet massage 15 minutes early and got bumped in favor of a woman who had arrived for the same treatment after him. I also found the spa staff to be brusque and impersonal in some cases, not what you would need to put you at ease. However, the treatments themselves are wonderful--the Swedish massage, aromatherapy massage and facial are standouts.
Only other quibble is that some areas of the spa and rest of the resort could use freshening up with some paint or a little scrubbing. Otherwise, we enjoyed ourselves tremendously and would recommend Le Sport to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation on a beautiful island.

We spent the first week of our honeymoon here in one of the luxury oceanfront rooms. It was heaven. Everything is laid on and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast buffet was superb, lunch was outstanding, afternoon tea was available (if you could manage it), and the dinners at Caribou were amazing with different entertainment every night. We got hooked on the Le Sport Crush from the cocktail bar, which we now miss so much.
The beach, which was washed away during a hurricane a couple of years back, has now returned. While the sand is not coral white, St Lucia is volcanic, it is still a nice place to absorb the sun.
The Oasis is the icing on the cake. The treatments are wonderful and both of us found ourselves completely stress free 2-3 days after arriving. It does have the side effect of making you want to go to sleep before 10pm!
The resort is kept in A1 condition and we found the staff on the whole to be both friendly and helpful. There were one or two exceptions, especially in the cocktail bar in the evenings where management was lacking, but you get that in any hotel.
One word of advice: if you can afford it get the Helicopter transfer from the airport; otherwise it's an hour and a half drive from the South of the Island.
Overall, Le Sport exceeded our expectations as a honeymoon destination and we have already decided that we will be coming back.

From the moment we arrived we felt that we had made the right decision. The reception staff was there from the moment our bags were taken from the taxi with a much-needed cold drink. Booking in took no time at all and soon we were in our lovely cool room. (A blessing when still dressed for British weather.)
Now the holiday itself. We didn’t meet one member of staff who didn’t smile and say hello whenever they saw you; everbody was so friendly and helpful. (If anyone was having a bad day it certainly never showed.) We must single out certain members of staff for a special mention. Let’s start with Wensley (part of the soft adventures team). What an amazing day we had out. A visit to a rain forest for a gentle hike through lush green vegetation with a swim in a secluded waterfall in the center of the forest. Eating grapefruit straight from the tree (delicious), guava fruit picked from the bush. Before I forget, I have to mention the men who work at the side of the road who went and got a Boa snake out of the trees to show us before one of them showed us his skills at climbing to the top of coconut tree and down again. We then had a lovely Creole lunch in Soufriere and then all too soon we had to head back home. A day we will never forget.
Next there was little Lindy who works in the Piano bar and in the main hall. She always had a welcoming smile and nothing seemed too much trouble for her.
The food at the hotel is superb and I would say that it caters for everybody. The breakfast buffet was extensive, where you could eat as little or as much as you wanted. The Cariblue in the evening also had a great selection on the menu and excellent service. (All meals had desserts to die for.) Had a meal at the 'Toa', but we preferred the Cariblue.
The treatments at the spa were fantastic. After only two days we were feeling really relaxed and chilled. The facials were my favorite (and my husband’s) as well as the aromatherapy. The Chandra massage takes a lot to beat as well.
I could go on all day extolling the virtues of this place, but I will just say that we will be back again next year bringing our friends with us. Thanks to everyone for making our holiday so great. |

My partner and I arrived at the resort in the evening and were disappointed when shown our room, which was the Oceanfront Luxury Suite (the best room in the house). Not only was the bathroom small, but it was not particularly clean; there was mold in the grouting. The hairdryer was useless as it heated up so much after 5 minutes of using it that it burned my hands.
The air conditioning was so noisy that we were forced to keep it low and sweat through the night. The wet bar was not stocked and when we asked for it the next day, it took two days for them to stock it and then we were told it was only stocked once. We were eaten alive by mosquitoes and were not offered mosquito nets that were standard in the junior suites. The bed linen was dingy and was not changed regularly. In order to get them changed we had to take the sheets off the bed and put them on the floor!
The food was great especially the variety offered for breakfast and lunch. We heard about the TAO restaurant, which we had to book but refused to go back as the service was great but very, very slow. We nearly fell asleep between courses.
The staff was absolutely great—very young and lively, but the spa was disorganized. If you were lucky enough to get a treatment on time they were very good, but a lot of the time we found the treatments to be double booked or cancelled due to staff shortages.
The beach was not the way it is portrayed in brochures as golden. It was black and not really inviting. Unfortunately, for a few days of our holiday we couldn't swim in the sea, as there were jellyfish.
We still managed to enjoy ourselves as it was very relaxing, but I would certainly not return to this resort.

My husband and I went to LeSport for our 15th wedding anniversary. We had been recommended LeSport by a work colleague and we were not disappointed.
The Spa treatments were excellent and varied. The food was exquisite. The service was impeccable and the staff could not do enough.
The complimentary champagne and fruits the hotel provided on our anniversary were a lovely touch.
My only complaint (and this is being picky), was that the resort was so good we had to force ourselves to explore outside the resort to see a little of St. Lucia and therefore missed two of the spa treatments.
We would recommend the helicopter ride from the airport as the journey by road was very tiring. |

My sister had been to Le Sport 6 years ago and recommended it to us for our honeymoon. Right from the offset, when we arrived in the reception area we knew we had made the right decision. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
We stayed in a Grand Luxury Oceanfront Junior Suite, which we highly recommend. It has beautiful views over the sea with waves lapping on the rocks a few feet from the balcony.
The food was excellent in the main restaurant (Carriblue) with a daily changing menu. Breakfast catered to all tastes. (The maple syrup pancakes are a must!) Lunch was a daily themed buffet with food a plenty and dinner was normally waitress/waiter service.
We would recommend booking the other restaurant at Le Sport, the TAO restaurant as soon as you get there, as there is a two-day waitlist. You will not be disappointed! After eating at the main restaurant for a few days we couldn't imagine the TAO being any better, but the food and service was A1.
I’d like to add in a word about the spa treatments now. I'm not what you'd call a fitness freak in any way! The type of sport I like is football on the TV. However, I attended nearly all my treatments (you don't have to go if you don't want to). Top marks goes to the facial - a friend of mine even refused to play golf one morning because he had a facial (no names, Phil).
You can do as much or as little as you like. The golf lessons were excellent and the 18-hole golf course down the road was perfect. We also went to The Grenadines, which is a must if you've come all that way to the West Indies. It has beautiful corral reefs and wonderful snorkeling.
So, summing up, both of us agree that this was the best holiday we have ever had. We're planning on going back in 5 years time to Le Sport.
