It was "Heaven" in Paradise. Visited: June 2008 Posted by mckinnona The roads to get to Heaven were awful - steep, narrow, and very bumpy. We used four-wheel drive to get up the steep parts. Once on the top of the hill, though, the view was spectacular. We could see all of Rodney Bay, Pigeon Island, and the Northern end of St Lucia. At night we could see the lights of Martinique in the distance. The villa was comfortable, but hot. There was only one stand up fan in the living room. There was some breeze, but the house was not designed to catch the breeze. The bedroom had great air conditioning, though! The pool was wonderful, and the grounds were beautiful. We got a tour and a tasting from the gardener - sour sop and jelly coconut as well as limes and other fruit. Lydia was a sweetheart, and made our stay extra special. She made a great lunch of pumpkin soup, shrimp and rice, and bread plant fritters. Heaven was in a good location. Occasionally, the noise from Smugglers Cove would drift up the hill. There were several beaches close by, and Rodney Bay with shops and restaurants were very close by. I would recommend getting a car, since it is at the top of the hill. Visited: November 2007 Posted by dkim The island was beautiful, and the staff was helpful and kind. The only problem was when it rained. There were leaks in many places around the house, and we had several sleepless nights due to moving furniture and our possessions to keep them dry (as well as mopping water). However, WheretoStay.com was a delight to work with, and their staff did everything they could to make us comfortable. They were attentive and efficient. I would recommend picking a different property. But I would highly recommend dealing with WhereToStay.com. They will take care of their guests! Let me assure you, this is not a problem we have had before with this villa. We have worked with the owner and local management company to get this resolved and believe we have. We hope your refund makes up for any discomfort you had during your stay with us. Villa Manager Report - On Tuesday, Oct. 23rd the island experienced some very heavy rainfall. As a result, we got some leaks at Heaven villa. It seems that hurricane Dean, some weeks before, had dislodged some shingles. We thought it best to move the clients in case it rained again. We had not had any leaks prior to this. The clients were offered an alternate villa but they declined as they stated they loved Heaven and the view was fabulous. We sent our maintenance man to attend to the roof but as the clients were in house, a patch up job only was possible. This roof has shingles and when shingles are dislocated, a very thorough job is required to put them right. As a result, there was a few more leaks and we continued to send our man up. Visited: November 2005 Posted by jimkub001 Unfortunately, we experienced a tropical depression for half of our vacation. But nevertheless, we had a wonderful time. It was our first visit and it was an enjoyable one. Heaven exceeded my expecations for privacy, and the views were great. The living was comfortable and cozy. Lidia (the house keeper) was awesome. Do yourself a favor and take some time to allow her to cook for you. Ask for her cocoa tea, we really enjoyed that. We did some cooking at the villa and all appliances, cookware and dishes were available. A big plus for us was that we found some Martini glasses (thank Heaven!). The villa was well maintained, clean and cozy. I must admit, my beautiful girlfiend was who made this trip one I will never forget. Visited: September 2005 Posted by tdclouse Heaven was a very accommodating honeymoon destination. It was very private, sitting at the top of a hill.
