I just returned from a wonderful hoilday in St Lucia. It was made even more special by staying at Villa Giorgia.
The villa was very spacious and had everything I could ever need, including the wonderful Franscesca. The pool was a great welcome after that heat of the day. The rooms in the villa were light and tastefully decorated, and the temptation to stay and relax was overwhelming.
Don't forget to try the Pirates Ship one evening. It is a chance to sample the rum, and a wonderful photo opportunity for sunsets.
I would recommend this property to anyone who wants style, space, relaxation and a great base in which to travel around the island. |

It was anything but "typical". Visited: August 2007 |

This is anything but a typical holiday villa - quite unlike any other I've seen on the island. From a previous visit to St Lucia and studying pictures I thought I knew what to expect.
However, the unusual, low profile of the house didn't prepare me for its enormous and deceptive size. It was emphasized by cool shades of white and grey and a simple, uncluttered interior where a family much bigger than ours could lose themselves.
Contrasting, warm terra cotta paving bracketed the main house and in the large courtyard hidden behind an iron electric gates set in a rustic stone wall like the way into The Secret Garden. It was along what must be the longest veranda in the Caribbean where we spent much of our time just chilling out, looking over the huge grounds and jumping into either of the pools whenever we felt like it and even in a tropical downpour!
Different birds visited through the day, and in the evening bats swooped low over the pool-deck. If we looked carefully and quietly, sometimes we could spot a crab poised to retreat into its hole in the ground.
Picking ripe mango and paw-paw from the laden trees was just one of many abiding memories, and finding a newly-fallen coconut definitely beat trying to win one at the fair.
The housekeeper, Francesca, was a star, and the management company was very responsive - whether to domestic enquiries or advising and booking sightseeing activities.
When we didn't stay in to enjoy a meal cooked by Francesca, all our needs were catered for in nearby Rodney Bay with its excellent restaurants and supermarkets, and almost all our wants in the capital Castries with its busy shops and enormous covered market for local produce and Caribbean crafts, about 20 minutes away.
A more challenging drive, off the good and steadily improving main roads into the hilly bits, rewarded us with stunning views of St Lucias mini-continent of landscapes from rain forest to volcanic peaks to rich, coastal plain. On one beach, we viewed the remains of a booster rocket, salvaged from the sea a couple of years ago!
I would recommend Villa Giorgia to any person or family group wanting a tropical island break somewhere quiet, secluded, spacious and unique yet not far from major amenities. |

Villa Giorgia is fantastic. Visited: July 2007 |

Having returned from St. Lucia before Hurricane Dean arrived, I hope that the beauty of this small island has not been too devastated.
Villa Giorgia was fantastic, and set in the Gros Islet part of the island. The villa commands views of a very large and productive garden.
The island itself was beautiful, and the people were of a generous spirit. Although, a word of caution - if you are travelling by car, you may be stopped by locals purporting to be tour guides and offering to travel with you for a fee. A gentle refusal is enough for them to leave you alone.
It is worth hiring a car if you are not staying at one of the resorts, as there are many wonderful hidden beaches to visit. A must is the cable car and zip wire which takes you right to the top of the rain forest. On a good clear day, you may spot one of the parrots which the island is famous for.
Another must is the evening cruise on the Pirate Boat which leaves around 4:00 pm from Rodney Bay. They have a plentiful supply of rum, and it takes a tour of approximately three hours. The tour offers a chance to view some of the most wonderful sunsets.
There is a market in the capital of Castries, and this is well worth a visit on either a Friday or a Saturday where local goods can be purchased.
For something a little special, there is a large duty free complex, Point Seraphine. For all of the women, there is a fantastic jewelery warehouse with prices well below half. Make sure you have your passport and your return flight details when shopping at any of the malls to take advantage of the duty free prices.
Make sure you take a trip to the sulphur springs and see the crater of the volcano which has pools of mud bubbling along with a subtle smell of sulphur.
On the whole, it was a very enjoyable holiday. Even though it was during the rainy season, it did not distract from enjoying some of the most spectacular scenery.
Whether staying at an all-inclusive or in a villa, make sure you get a chance to get out and about and enjoy all which this charming island has to offer. |

This villa was striking and charming with delightful grounds mixed with all the yellows, greens, browns and blues.
We were just amazed!
It was in a desirable location, which was great. We walked to the 18 hole golf course nearby.
The staff was extremely helpful, and couldn't seem to do enough for us.
We can't wait to visit again next year!

We were picked up by a driver, and our car was waiting for us at the villa. What a great treat!
In addition, Francesca cooked a terrific meal the evening of our arrival. She also provided us with other great meals, and cleaned and organized as required. She was pleasant, and we could count on her to provide our hungry crowd with good food - and also on keeping the villa clean.
St. Lucia as an island met all of our expectations. In fact, so much so that we are considering purchasing a condo. The beautiful beaches, quaint villages and friendly people helped make this a most enjoyable holiday. |

Villa Giorgia was a dream come true!
We encountered wonderfully hepful staff, friendly faces and pleasant personalities. They strove to make our stay the best.
Francesca provided breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. We highly recommend it, as the meals were delicious and different most every day.

I just wanted to tell everyone how much we enjoyed our stay at Villa Giorgia. The location was just perfect with the golf club only a few minutes away and close to the beaches, supermarket and restaurants in Rodney Bay.
The villa was so spacious and well equipped that we felt very much at home and are already looking forward to our next stay in the near future.

I am under the spell of Giorgia Villa. Visited: February 2007 |

Visiting St. Lucia is an experience, with beautiful clear blue waters and incredible beaches - this island is truly a paradise.
I was welcomed with smiles and openness. The feeling was relaxed but friendly. We had so many plans, but then we fell under the spell of Giorgia Villa.
We reached the villa, and were greeted by the housekeeper Francesca - who had a big smile. As it turned out, nothing was too much trouble for her. You must try Francesca's rum punch, it is amazing!
The villa was something else. It was truly elegant, with simple clean lines throughout and simply white washed walls that allowed the beauty of the gardens with its bougainvilleas to shine.
The large pool and splash pools both were in their elements when the lights were on at night. It was all surrounded by well maintained grounds. Do look out for the humming birds.
Everything we needed was available here - so much, that it was very difficult to make the decision to go out, or simply just to relax and stay poolside!
The whole villa team was there to help and guide us, which we found great.
In addition, the villa was ideally situated if you do wish to explore.
To us, Giorgia Villa and St. Lucia meant the same things: Outstandingly beautiful, tranquil, and serene. It was, quite simply, somewhere to go and find yourself smiling and relaxing while enjoying a little bit of paradise on earth.

Villa Giorgia welcomed us instantly. Its cool tiled floors and rapid turning ceiling fans lowered our tempature from the magnificent heat outside.
The villa provided us with all the modern furnishings in comfortable conditions.(You must try out the ice machine for the cocktails!) The Villa was so large, airy and spacious. For us, it felt like home away from home. We felt so comfortable, safe and extremly relaxed.
One of my favorite spots was sitting overlooking the pool and garden in the early hours of the morning while having breakfast on the patio. What a start to our day!
It has to be said, the garden went on and on, and it was very pleasing to the eye. And then there was Francesca which just tops it all off, she was brilliant. We wanted to bring her home with us!
The location of the Villa was excellent with easy access to various attractions like Pigeon Island, luxurious beaches and excellent restaurants in and around Rodney Bay. (You could try out Ti Bannane - excellent cocktails and great food with night music.)
Our favourite was Anse Lavoutte. We persisted down a very remote road only designed for 4x4s, and the determined! We found this absolutely romantic and isolated beach. It was picture perfect!
The island provided so much activity. We mingled with the locals and coated ourselves in mud from the sulphur springs, treated ourselves to the mineral baths at Diamond Falls and botanical gardens, marveled at the dolphins swimming and playing along side the boat and got lost in the rain forest.
Another great tip is to do a day pass at one of the resorts (Sandals was great). This gave us access to various water sports, snorkeling, water skiing, and sailing (to name a few) with full access to all their facilities, food and drinks all inclusive with the day pass. It was a good tip from Margarit from Tropical Villas. Knowing you had Villa Gorgia to go back after mixing within the hotel all day made it even more enjoyable and it is literally just down the road from the Villa.
We can't end this review without mentioning the people. If any memory keeps a smile on our face is the memory of the people. St Lucians are just so welcoming and pleasant...and to quote a favorite cocktail...No pressure, No problems.
This was definitely one of our most enjoyable and rewarding holidays. |

Set on 1.2 acres of rolling parkland grounds, this spacious, luxurious, and private five-bedroom villa has beautifully married Caribbean and European design.
Perhaps because three out of the five air-conditioned bedrooms fitted with Queen Size Beds open out onto the swimming pool, and have views of the sprawling gardens with the generous veranda that is essential for Caribbean living and allows for complete enjoyment of the outdoors.
The guest cottage incorporates its own living room and kitchen. Also, in the villa is an expansive kitchen fully furnished with all modern appliances. All bedrooms have their own televisions and hi-fi stereo systems.
A lot has to be said about the area in which Villa Giorgia is situated. Cap Estate can be found in the north-western part of St Lucia. This area has exploded into being one of the most exclusive residential locations in St. Lucia.
It is also in close proximity to some of the best beaches, and is literally minutes away from the island’s best restaurants, a newly-built 18-hole Championship golf course, The St. Lucia Racquet Club that hosts Davis Cup Tennis, and the Rodney Bay Marina that hosts the ARC race. Nearby, there is also the historical site of Pigeon Island, where a museum, ruins and a fort can be found.
The villa has a housekeeper, gardener, and pool maintenance services all year round ensuring that all needs of the property are kept in high standard. Security is top notch, as the villa is kitted out with CCTV cameras, electric gates and a double garage. |

Villa Giorgia is paradise in St. Lucia. Visited: January 2007 |

Perfect! That's what I'll start off saying - Villa Giorgia was perfection personified. We were impressed with the luxurious rooms with air conditioning, private TV, bathroom (the shower was magnificent).
They also had a swimming pool and separate Jacuzzi, beautiful grounds, and flowers and plants like you've never seen before.
The lounge area and kitchen were fitted with all modern conveniences for a home from home. In fact, the villa had better facilities than I have at home!
However, most importantly, I found peace, tranquility and privacy all wrapped up with a housekeeper from heaven. She was a true reflection of the owners of this property, as nothing was too much to ask or do.
My parents are from Dominica, and as the islands are so close and quite similar, I thought St.Lucia would not show me anything I haven't seen before. Boy was I wrong! I'm in love with St. Lucia and the beautiful people. Having somewhere like Villa Giorgia to stay whilst exploring this island went hand in hand.
I came here for rest and recuperation following a setback in my health. I am disabled, and I use a walking stick so I am limited in my mobility. Everything at the villa was disabled-friendly, and that was a bonus as limitations are what I've come to expect. Thankfully, there were no limitations here! I recommend the villa as a disabled person.
Two weeks was not enough for me. I was quite depressed when faced with the prospect of getting a flight back home to the UK. So, as Arnie says, 'I'll be back'. |

My sister-in-law and I had a fantastic vacation (January 2007). Villa Giorgia was absolutely first class as was the housekeeper, Francesca. She was also a wonderful cook.
I fell in love with Villa Giorgia the moment we stepped foot inside. The villa was so spacious, airy, and simply decorated. It was also secluded and very private, which was ideal for swimming in the pool and sunbathing.
Villa Giorgia is perfectly situated in the north of the island, and is within easy reach the majority of tourist attractions. We went on quite a few excursions arranged by Tropical Villas, the management company. Natasha was very helpful and professional at all times.
We enjoyed a boat trip down the west coast of the island via the scenic famous twin pitons. We also visited the beautiful diamond waterfalls, botanic gardens, had a spectacular drive-in the volcano sulphur springs. Marigot Bay was fun, sampling the local cuisine at a restaurant, which was excellent. Also, went shopping in Castries to the Central Market and La Place Carenage duty-free shopping mall.
This was the only 18-hole golf course resort on the island. We had breakfast, and the food was excellent. The staff was very friendly, and made us feel welcome. The manager insisted a member of staff take us for a ride in the golf car, around the course (44 acres) of land. The views were absolutely scenic, especially the houses in the hills overlooking the course.
The highlight of our holiday was horseback riding at Cas-En-Bas. Riding through the forested trail, via the Atlantic coast beach and riding your horse into the ocean, followed by a bar-be-que on the beach, was an experience of a lifetime and a must.
Also, we enjoyed Pigeon Island National Historic Park with a couple of secluded walk-in beaches, restaurant serving excellent local cuisine, historic site and explored the ruins via the marked walking trails & much more.
We found the people of St. Lucia to be very friendly and approachable, too.
This was my second visit to this paradise island. I normally stay in a five-star hotel. After my stay at Villa Giorgia, when I come back to St. Lucia, I will insist we stay in the same villa. |

My family and I flew into St. Lucia for Christmas/New Year in December 2006. We were met at the airport by a driver who took us to this fantastic villa.
Our party of eight was greeted by Francesca, the housekeeper, who was just amazing - and a wonderful cook. What a gem.
The design of the villa was just simple, with everything we could imagine. Our children really enjoyed this holiday as the villa had two swimming pools - one for us grown ups and a small splash pool for them.
The service my family encountered at Giorgia Villa was better than a that of a five-star luxury hotel. We rate this villa ******! |
