My best friend and I stayed for the weekend here, and we could not have been happier.
The suite was clean and spacious. The service was great. I have to say a special thanks to Colette who works the front desk and concierge. She answered all of our questions, and was very helpful with everything we needed.
I would definitely stay here again! |

I visited Bay Gardens in May of 2007 with a friend.
I had never visited the island, so I was just taking a shot in the dark as to what part of the island to go to. I did a little research, and decided the Rodney Bay area seemed to be the place to be. There were good beaches, restaurants, and departure points for sight-seeing.
I was not really interested in the all-inclusive resorts. I just wanted a clean room, and a pool with a bar. I chose the Bay Gardens Hotel. The place was incredible!
The #1 selling point of this property was their staff. They were the nicest people I have ever met on a trip to the islands. They went out of their way to make guests feel at home. And they always had a smile and a "hello".
The rooms were more than sufficient. They were very clean and well maintained. There were two sparkling pools and a hot tub. The bar and restaurant offered great fare and drinks, and the service was excellent. Oshea, the bartender, made a fine Rum Punch, too!
The hotel was not located on the beach, but was only an easy ten-minute walk away. The hotel did provide a beach shuttle.
Make sure you visit the fishing village and the great site and beach along with some spectacular views. Great restaurants included the Spinnaker, Buzz, The Big Chef and Spices, which was located at the Bay Gardens.
If you are planning a trip to St. Lucia, and are looking for that elusive "island" feel, -look no further than the Bay Garden Hotel! For our next trip to St. Lucia, we will not hesitate to stay at the Bay Gardens. We look forward to seeing all of our friends very soon!

During the month of February, a few of my friends and I stayed at this unique hotel. I was impressed from the moment I entered the lobby. The staff here was so friendly and pleasant.
I would recommend Bay Gardens Hotel to anyone who wants to get away from their busy life for a vacation. Oh, and make sure you try the rum punch! |

We had a great holiday at the Bay Gardens Hotel. The staff was very helpful, and the location was excellent for families - or for those who just want a peaceful trip to this beautiful island.
We have already booked this hotel for our trip back to St. Lucia this year! |

All the staff at this hotel were very courteous and friendly and made my vacation a very enjoyable stay.
Also, the hotel was just a five-minute walk from the best beach in St. Lucia. |

Bay Gardens- great ambassadors for St. Lucia! Visited: July 2004 |

We visited on July 5, 2004.
Bay Gardens Hotel is exceptional. The front-desk staff is well trained and certainly values the customer. Friendliness is also exhibited from the room attendants; special kudos to Bernadette Wells. She was like an auntie to us as newly-weds.
The hotel's location gives way to many restaurants ranging from Chinese to local cuisine. Just next door is the JQ Shopping Mall. Supermarkets are located on both sides of the hotel.
We had great fun in the pool and jacuzzi; the hotel's environment is quite healthy and refreshing and the rooms are adequately prepared.
One memorable customer experience is realizing we did not have the suite for honeymooners and when reported to reception there was a speedy resolution with compliments. Shondette, my wife was elated.
We will be back for our first anniversary.

This is a wonderfully comfortable and charming property in a great location in St. Lucia.
It is efficiently managed by the wonderful Parles, and and staffed by friendly, gracious and warm people.
The rooms are very comfortable, clean and well furnished and equipped. The food is excellent and the conference facilities delightful. The gardens are beautiful, and the decor simply Caribbean.
The efficiency of the property is even more evident by it's Green policies. They are clearly but tastefully stated throughtout the property.
This is one delightful place to spend a vacation.

My wife an I stayed here two weeks. Hands on management, a friendly staff, and great food made for a memorable vacation. The location, though not on the beach, was within a short walk to everything. |

I planned a surprise trip to some Caribbean island for my girlfriend and chose St. Lucia. I had never visited the island myself, so I was just taking a shot in the dark as to what part of the island to go to.
I did a little research and decided the Rodney Bay area seemed to be the place to be - good beaches, restaurants, and departure points for sight-seeing. Now where to stay?
I was not really interested in the all-inclusive resorts due to (lack of) funds. I just wanted a clean room and a pool with a bar. I chose the Bay Gardens Hotel. The place was incredible!

The rooms were more than sufficient. They were very clean and well maintained. There were two sparkling pools and a hut tub. The bar and restaurant offered great fare and drinks, and the service was excellent. Oshea, the bartender, made a great Bloody Mary and a mighty fine Rum Punch, too!
The hotel was not located on the beach, but was only an easy ten-minute walk away. The hotel did provide a beach shuttle. Make sure you take the $8 boat ride to Pidgeon Island (with Steve) for a day on your own "private" beach along with some spectacular views. Great restaurants included the Spinnaker, Buzz, The Big Chef and Spices, which is located at the Bay Gardens.

I have been travelling to St. Lucia on business since 1998, and Bay Gardens has helped form my impression of St. Lucia as the destination of choice for a much needed getaway. The staff is warm and friendly, the local cuisine is excellent, and the location couldn't be better, as it places you near to all the essential services, great restaurants and transportation.
I'm already planning my next trip! |

Bay Gardens is a good value for the price. Visited: June 2002 |

I rate this hotel 4 stars. Not that it is a luxury resort by any means, but for the price compared to other beach front hotels in the area, this hotel is very good value for price.
The rooms are clean and furnished quite adequately. The staff is exceptional in every way and are always very accommodating.
Our only problem was with mosquitoes in the room. We finally said something about it after three days, they sprayed the room, and we had no other problem with them. If you stay here, remember that you are not on the beach, but it is a 10 minute walk and the amenities are limited.
If your desire is to hang around the property, then choose a beachfront location of which you will pay much more for. Also, be open minded in that the area around the hotel is true Caribbean and thus the walk is through unattractive neighborhoods. However, we never felt threatened,. Just be open minded to the raw sewage smells that you will be exposed to.
Also, if you want a base for exploring the island, you cannot go wrong here. In addition, we found out our last night that the hotel restaurant is outstanding, this after eating several so-so meals at area restaurants. We had their set 4 course menu at New Years Eve and the meal was gourmet all the way! |

This place was awesome.
We stayed for only one night before our Windjammer cruise and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and the pool, but especially the tropical fruity drinks.
We will return! |

Very homey, quiet and clean! Visited: April 2000 |

We stayed here during our honeymoon and found the place to be very clean, homey and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the food was good, two very important aspects of any trip. The grounds were lush green and really in immaculate condition. We found the close proximity to the beach and shopping malls very welcomed, indeed. My wife was a few months along in her pregnancy so we did not get to move around as much as we wanted to, but we really liked what we saw and hope to be back next year to really have some fun with some friends. We unreservedly recommend this property and St. Lucia! |

Lovely, friendly little hotel Visited: April 2000 |

The frienly relaxing atmosphere is contageous. All the staff seem genuinely pleased to see you. The rooms and the grounds are meticulously maintained.
The hotel is not situated in a beauty spot, but the grounds of the hotel are quite lovely with a slightly colonial feel. And the hotel is well positioned for excursions. There is a little boat just down the road that will ferry you to the beautiful beaches of Pigeon Island. You could quite easily spend every day there! |

BEWARE -Extremely Disappointed- Over Booked Visited: November 1999 |

I do some business with one of the supermarket chains in St. Lucia and had stayed at the Bay Gardens twice previously. Both of these previous stays were fine and I found the hotel to be clean and the staff pleasant and friendly.
The location of the Bay Gardens is quite good. There is a shopping mall next door and two supermarkets within easy walking distance. The rooms are clean and the grounds charming. The beach and restaurants of Rodney Bay are also within a short walk.
I came back to St. Lucia on November 11, 1999 and this time I brought my wife and daughter for a brief vacation. I had told them about the Bay Gardens and we booked our reservation in September, far in advance. Upon arrival, the staff informed us that the hotel was overbooked and they did not have a room for us. They had made arrangements at another hotel, which they said was equivalent.
The hotel they put us in was not equivalent and I learned later it had a reputation of being on the run down side and in need of renovation (I will not mention this other hotel's name). After a lot of fighting with the staff at the Bay Gardens, they found us a room at a beachfront hotel at USD$40.00 more per night.
The staff at the Bay Gardens advised the overbooking was due to a computer problem but I learned that they have this problem often. If you plan to stay at the Bay Gardens, check before you leave that they indeed have room for you at their hotel. After spending the day traveling, the last thing one needs upon arrival is not to have a room.
They also told me that they could not put me back in at the Bay Garden during my entire 5-day stay; there were no rooms available to open up. I was really angered when two days later we dropped by the hotel after walking to the supermarket and we saw a new guest checking in. |

WOW! - super friendly, super relaxing - can't wait to go back! Visited: November 1999 |

Wow! This was our first Caribbean trip so we picked a small hotel - great value! The staff were amazingly genuine and friendly... the hotel was immaculate - we even had a lady pop round every day to check if all was ok.
Although only 53 rooms, there's 2 bars, a hot tub, 2 pools and a lovely little restaurant. There was always someone with a hand to serve, to help, and to say hello. It's a 10 minute walk to the REduit beach, past all the locked-up, "plush" hotels - but that strip also has great restaurants - we only had time to try a handful of the ones we wanted. There's also a free shuttle bus.
There is a handy supermarket which sells all sorts of stuff. There's a fridge in the beautifully decorated and clean rooms and there was no problem with bringing in drinks and food. A couple of evenings a week there's a band and punch party - but it's actually better that its quite quiet - nice to go hear bands in other hotels and leave to go back to yours when you want to!
We would definitely stay here again in preference to the bigger more impersonal hotels. Although we went in October, it was fully booked and we found out that the Virgin cabin crew stayed there too - now that can't be bad!
p.s. They even had a little ice cream parlour! |
