Anse Chastanet is located in the hotel of the same name and offers excellent West Indian cuisine. Try the Caribbean rotis, which are wraps filled with curried meat and vegetables, or the pork, beef or lamb pepperpot. In either case, go heavy on the savory mango chutney – it is homemade. The less adventurous of your party might prefer a sandwich, such as a tuna melt. The evening Creole barbeque buffet is not to be missed. Smart casual. Reservations accepted. (close) |

Behind the bar is the mastermind himself, Hamilton, one of the island's highly acclaimed and Shaker's International Certified Mixologists. He has been known to make the best rum sours using local rums, martinis and mojitos on the entire island and then some.
The lounge's rustic cabin setting with low sofas creates an intimate indoor atmosphere. On the exterior of the cabin's wall, below the branches of the massive 'Evergreen' is an outdoor deck built on stepping stones. "We stumbled upon this little restaurant/bar when we were trying to find a place that could accommodate 8 people without reservations on Valentine's Day! The owner and remaining staff went WAY-OUT-OF-THE-WAY!!! to make room for all of us. We cannot comment on the day-to-day menu because the menu was a special Valentine's selection. It was a multi-course meal with a wonder variety of items for each course. My absolute favorite item was the pumpkin ravioli - but all the courses were absolutely scrumptious! We dined with our 2 "picky" teenagers and they were absolutely blown away by the food! The service was tops - (thanks to John and our Toronto server who's name I have forgotten). Kudos to the chef and owner. We will definitely be back next time we are in St Lucia."
