Wow! What a wonderful meal and view nestled between the Pitons. If only I could figure out how to replicate the Shrimp Dasheene now that we're back in the USA. Dasheene Restaurant and Bar provided great service and excellent food! |

We just had my daughter's wedding reception here. Peter and his wife were fantastic; and the cook was amazing. We had the best time of our lives!
Thank you Peter for everything. I've never had food as amazing as we had here, and we live in Las Vegas, Nevada! |

| The Big Chef Steakhouse was great. |

We went to quite a few restaurants while in St. Lucia. Unfortunately, we visited the Big Chef first. All other restaurants were horrible after that.
The service and the food at the Big Chef were great. We ended up back there just before we left. Thanks so much. |

This restaurant has everything going for it - good service and great views. However, at dinner the food showed up looking great, but tasting mediocre. At their price level, the food must be fantastic.
The lunch salads, however, were fine. |

We had tried a number of the top-end hotel dining rooms. We only found fancy looking food with fancy prices and mediocre quality.
The Hummingbird had great fresh fish cooked right and served right. Also, the staff could not have been better.

Coal Pot, St. Lucia traveler review

We love lthe food and staff.
As villa owners, we know most of the restaurants (though, to be fair, not that many in the north end of the island which we try to avoid). We consider the Coal Pot as good as Dasheene--our other favorite, which is part of Ladera - and very close to the dining room at Tikaye. Further, you get to see Michelle's wonderful ceramics. |

This place is very special! They offer seating right on the water at Marigot Bay. It's expensive, but worth it. The food is fantastic. The chef is very, very good! |

I am on the island for a three-month project. This restaurant is wonderful. It is absolutely delicious island food. It is very quaint, and close to my work.
This will be my lunch spot for the next three months! |

It's art nouveau food, so eat a sandwich before you leave home! It's right on the water's edge, so the location is great. The food was good, but the price was a bit much. |

The fare at Coal Pot was average, which was a disappointment given all they hype it receives.
If you are staying in the Rodney Bay area, I would advise trying many of the great restaurants near you rather than venturing to this tucked away location - especially if you have to wait for a cab to return to pick you up. |

The dessert course at The Edge was the highlight of our evening. The basil cheesecake was interesting, and the banana tart was sublime.
Things would have been better had we not been banished to the brightly lit table near the sushi bar as punishment for walking in without a reservation. This was despite the fact that it was the off season, and there were barely any customers in the restaurant during the entire evening. |

We stayed at Ladera Resort for two days, then moved to a private villa. We ate at Dasheene nearly every night.
Truth be told, there are very few restaurants in the Soufriere area that are any good. Dasheene exceeds expectations no matter where you might be.
The food is excellent, with a special menu every night (in addition to the standard menu). Service is flawless at dinner. Breakfast is also excellent. |

This restaurant was really expensive, and the food was not great. The setting was really pretty, though, so it was worth it.
We had two small kids, so we made a very early reservation. They were nice to the kids. However, we thought they could have brought some bread or something for the two-year-old, and it was annoying how they tried to be so fancy to the point of being pretentious. I don't care if my forks and knives are perfectly arranged in front of me when I'm holding an eight-month-old baby.
It was a nice night, but not amazing or anything. |

This restaurant is located on the waterfront, and it's very beautiful. The food is very nice, with a good variety. It is a little dearer than other places around the area. |
