Horny Toad Guesthouse

Are you looking for a home away home, with friendly neighbors and wonderful hosts? Well, look no further. Located directly on the beach at Simpson Bay, the Horny Toad guesthouse, a former governor's residence, offers clean, pleasant rooms with full kitchens, a glorious beach and a casual, relaxed atmosphere. Betty, originally from Maine, will stock the kitchen with all of your favorites prior to your arrival and will also arrange a rental car for you ahead of time.

All apartments are in the former governor's residence with the exception of one which is set back off the beach and connects to Betty's office and own suite. Our quarters, apartment #3, which we boast is also the Vaughans favorite, is upstairs where the ocean view is expansive and the verandah is roomy and great for reminiscing about the day's events, while viewing the breathtaking sunsets which only the Caribbean can deliver.

All four second-story apartments have a section of the balcony while the others below may not afford a patio, they are much larger and roomier inside. Each apartment is unique in its' size and decor although they each contain kingsize beds, ceiling fans, fresh flowers, and a bookcase full of books for your reading pleasure. No phones or televisions to distract you.

The Horny Toad doesn't offer water sports or planned activities except for an occasional trip down to Mary's Boon for dinner, but it is conveniently located within driving distance of anything you may desire. A small grocery store and a few restaurants are within walking distance. The only, I repeat only, downside to this quaint, special little guest house is its' proximity to the airport runway. Periodic plane noise is the norm, however your sleep won't get interrupted as long as you stay up past 9:00 p.m.

Betty enjoys repeat business, many of whom become much like family! If you are looking for a scheduled vacation full of activities and nightlife this isn't it, but if you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere where you can let your hair down...stop right here, you have arrived!!
