This is a beautiful part of the island, but the property needs work. Visited: June 2007 |

The Towers is desperately in need of renovation. Nothing has been updated - it would appear - since it was first constructed.
The bed linens were threadbare, and the furnishings were uncomfortable. Also, there were absolutely no amenities. It left me wondering how this could be gold crown rated.
A car is a must in this area. |

In my opinion, the Towers is a five-star resort! Some of these posts reflect otherwise. I think these reviews were by vacationers looking for a cruise ship/resort style vacation that has parties and activities all day and night long.
The Towers prides itself on being a private resort. The pool is very quiet (which is a joy to most people). Of course, there is a Tuesday night open bar cocktail party.
The island has so much going on all the time, it is nice to come home and relax in a ocean side/Lagoon pool with ocean winds and a bar where people are not acting crazy and drunk. Although sometimes the residents do have fun, but in a home-like atmosphere. If you want wild nightlife, drive up the street two- to five minutes, and you will have it!
Do not come to SXM without renting a car. It is a beautiful island to explore. The food on the French side is the best. Grand Case rules!
Also, visit as many beaches as you can. They all have their beauties!
The staff will bend over backwards for you if they know you appreciate them. Many vacationers abuse the rooms and don't tip them. Life is hard for them on SXM, as the cost of living is high. If you appreciate them in the slightest bit at the start of you vacation, they will do anything for you.
Also, a little hint: they would love if you tell them you will leave your food and beverage for them when you leave the island. Basically, if you treat them like people and not servants, they will do the same for you!
I hope I helped you decide if The Towers is the vacation destination for you. I know my whole family loves it and can't wait to come here again, and we range in ages from 14 years to 51 years! |

Traveling from the west midlands, I was not sure what standards to expect. As soon as I saw the room's upholstery and fantastic views from the 15th floor, I was stunned.
Service was of an exceptional quality. It was almost like being at home, and I didn't even need to take my shoes off. The swimming pool was fantastic, and the shower caps that were provided helped to keep my luxuriant hairstyle in fantastic shape. |

We have been coming to the Towers for the past 13 years and count the days until we return.
The employees are like family members. The resort is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. |

We just finished our second stay at the Towers. We found the accommodation top rate, spacious and very well equipped. Also, the staff was friendly and the service was acceptable.
We had lovely views of Simpson Lagoon and the hills from our balconies, and the atmosphere was so peaceful.
The pool was lovely and the pool terrace was well located on the lagoon, but was really very quiet.
This resort may be too quiet for many people, but the situation and accommodation made up for that.
The resort was very well located - a short drive from the airport, restaurants and a casino. We walked ten minutes to lovely Mullet Beach across the golf course for our morning and evening swims. I bet you won't find anything similar at most other St. Maarten resorts.
If you like a quiet holiday in very well appointed accommodations, we recommend the Towers. |

Poor customer service Visited: June 2004 |

If you are going to stay on St. Maarten, and want a nice place to stay, this is not the place for you. Customer service here is terrible. When we arrived in St. Maarten we were tired , hungry and hot. While we waited to check in one of the desk clerks was on the phone having a personal conversation and purposely ignored us. Some of the staff acted as if we were not welcome and some even ignored us when we had questions or concerns. The maid staff are also occasionaly rude, sometimes barging in without ringing the door bell. While we we checking out to leave the resort one of the maids banged on the door and had the nerve to tell us " this is your last day here its time to check out !!" We would never recommend the Towers at Mullet Bay to anyone. |

I came here on my honeymoon last year.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay because it was beautiful and the staff was very helpful. If we had any questions, they were there to help. The pool was great. The bar by the pool was nice, as well. |

I rate this place at the top of my list of resorts. I have stayed at many resorts, and this is top notch.
The service is great, and it is clean, quiet and in a nice location. Cecelia is so very helpful along with the other staff. We will return again. One week is not enough!

Find a better place to stay. Visited: June 2003 |

If you are going to stay on St. Maarten, and want a decent place to stay, this is not for you. The grounds are poorly taken care of, the pool is about as lively as a funeral, and the rooms are dated. There is no way this is a Gold Crown Resort, and those who think it is have either never been to a Gold Crown Resort or they must have had too much to drink.
There is no room service and I think the sheets are changed once a week. The front of the hotel overlooks what was once a water hazard on the golf course, which is now half full and is simply an eyesore. The hotel has an odd smell, and some of the staff acted as if we were not welcome. (This seemed to be a trait of many of the locals.) And the golf course is possibly the worst I have ever seen. If you are a golfer, I would not bother bringing the sticks. Go to Cabo instead. The only real advantage to this place is that it is walking distance to Mullet Bay Beach, which is quite nice; but if you are going to spend the money to come out to St. Maarten, find a better place to stay. |

This is just what an island getaway should be - total relaxation. Visited: May 2003 |

My wife and I have been to St. Maarten many times we've stayed at the Pelican, Little Divi and Maho and Mullet Bay way back when it was truly a five-star resort with the finest of the island amenities.
We stayed at the Towers this time and it was just what we needed, quiet and peaceful - a real island paradise.
Having been to the island more than a few times, we didn't have to rush around like we used to. We knew what we liked, where to get it, and when to go there.
The Towers were tucked away just off the main road leading to - well everything. The French side was a right turn out the driveway and the Dutch was a Left. You could get to anywhere on the island in less than 25 minutes from here.
Even though the beaches on the island were picture postcard perfect, after all these times back, we liked hanging poolside at the Towers. They served a nice lunch and drinks at the bar, the pool was spotless, everyone was very helpful, and it was a short walk to the room minus the sand in your shorts.
They may not have room service, but I've never missed it. Still, you can call up for an in-room massage, and that's not bad.
The rooms are quite nice, very clean well maintained with a fully-equipped kitchen, which my wife and I use all week long for breakfast and lunch.
We Liked it so much the first time we stayed that we bought a week there & we already owned 2 weeks at the Pelican Resort & casino, which we have since sold now that we are sure that the Towers is the Only place we care to stay when we're in St. Maarten.
Go Enjoy, it's nice to have a spectacular room but don't forget you went there for the Island & all it has to offer. The Food on Grand Case, The shopping in Philipsberg & Marigot, The Water sports & even the nude beaches.
With so much to do out side of your room & resort it's nice to have a Quiet Elegant place to go back to & get ready for tomorrow, even if it's just to sit poolside with a Cuban cigar & a good book. |

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Towers. Although we had to walk to the beach, it was not far and the beach was beautiful. If you want to know anything about the island, be sure and ask Cecelia, she was very helpful! We are definitely planning on returning. |

If you're looking for a nice quiet place to stay, the Towers is the place for you.
They keep this place immaculate and all the restaurants and places of excitement are just a short drive away. The beach is so nice and calm, many of the islanders go there to relax. |

We spent a wonderful week at the Towers. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Our room was impeccable. It was spotless, tastefully decorated, and we had a great view from our balcony.
We especially appreciated the small, intimate nature of the Towers. There was no huge crowd in the lobby or anywhere else! Everyone was so very friendly. We felt that we were treated royally, and we will definitely come back to the Towers at Mullet Bay. |

No RCI Gold Crown here. Visited: June 2002 |

Although we loved St. Marteen, this hotel was such a let down. You have to go thru Mullet Bay Resort to get to the Towers and this resort was left abandoned after a hurricane hit it several years ago.
The check in staff very helpful and the one waitress at the pool was very friendly and helpful. At the cocktail party, the manager never introduced himself and left after 15 minutes, which I felt was very rude. The rooms were very musty smelling and in dire need of an uplift. No Gold Crown here! When you walked in the front entrance it totally smelled like everyone in the resort was frying food!

We were very surprised that this resort received a 5-star rating. Their service was very slow, no food whatsoever, and our view overlooked a bad golf course that they claimed was championship caliber. I lugged my golf clubs 4,000 miles for nothing. RCI really recommended this place to us. Boy, did we make a mistake. |

This is a wonderful spot. One of our sons spent his honeymoon here. In all fairness, it was exceptional and five stars when the resort as a whole was open with all its restaurants, jitney service, and golf course in much better shape.
However, having said that, we find it very difficult when vacation time rolls around to go anywhere else. We know what we are getting and we like the staff, the view, the attention to detail, the response to service requests, etc.
We have visited other islands, taken cruises, traveled to Europe, chartered sailboats, and still just love to spend time here. It is a short walk to the beach if you don't care for a pool/bar atmosphere--and even the "chair boys" at the beach are friendly and accommodating.
The ocean? No better! Great for children since the waves are not threatening. All in all, a super place. But I would recommend a car since there are so many great places to see and the major grocery stores and many restaurants are not within walking distance. |
