Mercure, The - St. Martin/St. Maarten

Located on Simpson Bay, just 5 minutes from the charming French village of Marigot and
15 minutes from the Marigot Airport, Mercure features Creole style suites and duplex apartments all of which are air-conditioned and equipped with ceiling fans, television, telephone, individual safe deposit box, bathroom and balcony or terrace with kitchenette.

We visited studio #244. It was clean and pleasant with a Spanish tiled floor, rattan furnishings, Caribbean hued linens and for the women, a full length mirror. A bottle of rum is waiting upon your arrival to sip on as you relax on the small white sand beach at Marine Hotel. The "LaVi Bo Kaye" restaurant opens onto the lagoon and pool serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with theme entertainment in the evenings.

If you are interested in activities, the hotel features a swimming pool with a children's pool, a solarium, tennis, table tennis, volleyball plus a beach with full amenities for water sports.

Quite a value for the money.
