I stayed one night and got out quickly to a much nicer place. Visited: June 2005

The pictures shown on the site were not what I experienced. Where were the amenities? We had to pay for towels and maid service. Shouldn't that come with the room? I also didn't get the bus ride to the beach (as advertised).

This was not what I would call an island getaway. Don't get ripped off like I did. There were so many nicer places that were in the same price range (or better).

I couldn't bare to look at this website for fear of crying. It's been one year since our trip and and I long to return. It is a place that will remain dear to my heart forever.

A Big Disappointment Visited: February 2003
Posted by hero
I was very disappointed by the appearance, location and size of this hotel. The taxi driver, who knew everything about the island, could not find the hotel. THe hotel is situated within 100 feet of a "lagoon" which was nothing more than a pond with filthy water. Orient Beach is in walking distance from the hotel however, one had to walk all the way to the other end of the very long stretch of beach to dine and participate in any water activities. The walk back from the beach to the hotel is very scary at night and on our first night there we almost got lost because the path was not well lit. There were ants in our room and cockroaches as well. The bathroom could barely fit two people yet alone three. We had a miserable time staying at this hotel during the duration of our trip. I would not go back there even if they paid me.

We love Orient Bay Hotel! Visited: January 2003

Orient Bay Hotel remains perfect for us. This was our fifth visit.

We had a wonderful multi-level villa, poolside, with a front porch and side gazebo overlooking Orient Bay. We’ll stay here again next year.

Also, their staff is so nice, and so accommodating. We love them.

We received a very warm welcome, it's our home away from home Visited: November 2002

We stayed at the Orient Bay Hotel in April 2002, and again in November 2002.

The place was very nice with comfortable rooms, and a well-equiped kitchenette with all needed utensils. It was within walking distance to the wonderfull Orient Bay Beach.

We are renting out Holiday Apartments in Tobago and are therefore in a good position to appreciate the very professional and warm attitude of the Orient Bay Hotel staff.

We will be back again arround April 2003. We are sure anyone who stays here will not be disappointed.
