This was a nice hotel for the area. Visited: July 2005 |

For Grand Case, this was the best hotel. The hotel lobby, grounds, and pool were beautiful.
The room was basic. We enjoyed having a full kitchen, but the bathroom looked dated and plain. The bed and furniture were dull. The view of the ocean and gardens was beautiful from our balcony.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Don't expect much from the beach in this area. But Orient Beach was just a five- to ten- minute drive away.
You will also be very close to the great restaurants, but they were very expensive. Grand Case seemed very run-down looking, so this hotel was a little oasis. |

It was like staying in your own private villa. Visited: March 2002 |

L'Esplanade was the most gorgeous place my husband and I have ever stayed.
Everything about it was first-class. It was very relaxing and the pool was quiet and beautiful. The walk to the town and beach got a little tiring after the first couple of days, but for the peace and quiet - it was worth it. |

It was low-key luxury on the hillside above Grand Case. Visited: August 2001 |

I stayed here in the off-season of 2001, late August into early September. The hotel had only a few other guests, so it was like having your own private paradise. The rooms were well decorated and clean.
The pool area was gorgeous, inlaid with tile and beatifully landscaped. Also, it was virutally vacant and proved a super spot to watch the sunset while enjoying the late-day sun and a good book.
There was a small beach at the bottom of the hill, just to the right of the Grand Case Beach Club, that was quite private and secluded. This proved a great spot for a quick dip within walking distance.
Although many of the restaurants in Grand Case were closed for the month, there was still a variety of dining options available; however, not many for the vegetarian! Some nights were thus spent eating some bread and cheese and sipping some wine on the balcony draped with bougainvilleas - not a bad way to spend the day at all! |

Awesome View of the Bay and Sunset Visited: June 2001 |

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at L'Esplanade for our honeymoon.
It is located at the north end of Grand Case and is situated on the side of a hill overlooking the town, the bay and every single sunset. We stayed in an oversized loft room and were impressed with the size, amenities and quality of the interiors. The grounds were well maintained and the staff was available and helpful.
We opted to rent a car for the week, which really is the only way to experience this island. Every day we visited a different beach and the surrounding area. By 5:00pm or so, we would head back to L'Esplanade for cocktails and appetizers on the veranda.
After sunset, a short walk into town unveiled a plethora of dining options. After dinner, a short walk back up the hill and we were done for the day.
