Privilege Resort offered excellence and style. Visited: January 2003 Posted by mariedigne I stayed two weeks in this absolute luxury place. It was an exquisite accommodation, far from the maddening crowd. They also employed a very dedicated staff. My villa was of outstanding beauty and luxury. They also had one of the most wonderful beaches of the island, a complete gym with coach, and a nice spa -rare on the island. I found most of the staff trying to be kind and considerate (in the French way). St. Martin was, within two years of my arrival, apparently ground down by a hurricane. This made many, many desperate people. I really enjoyed the inherent culture, the food and actually most of the people. I had meals that would have cost $200 in DC or NYC for $54. Visited: November 1999 Posted by ATraveler Horrible service, over charging on the bill, desolate place, run by children with no experience. We have traveled the world over the last 30 years, and found Privilege and St Martin a complete waste of time and money.
