Residence Alizea offers outstanding rooms, views, and value. Visited: August 2006 Posted by wle119 The Alizea is a small hotel that features some of the best views you will ever have in a hotel room. We have been to the Alizea six or seven times after trying many nearby places. The views from the veranda in every room we have been in are sensational. It is close to the beach (ten-minute walk, five-minute drive) and the fabulous restaurants in Grand Case. Previous to finding the Alizea, we paid more than double for rooms at other hotels that were inferior in almost every way. The management closed the restaurant several years ago, but each room has kitchen facilities on the porch. The rooms are fairly large with very nice bathrooms. The view from the pool is excellent, as well. Philippe and Francoise are very friendly and helpful, and they are available during the day to receive guests and provide beach towels, etc. The corner rooms on the top floor are slightly larger and have the very best views. We always request room 203, but 201 and 202 are almost as good. After a day at the beach, we relax on the breezy porch and then head out to Grand Case for dinner. From reception through departure, the warmth from the owners, Francoise and Phillipe is evident! It feels like a home away from home! Alizea is a nice small property Visited: March 1999 Posted by ATraveler We stayed at Alizea in March, 1999 and were very impressed with the property. It was quiet and very relaxing. Our room had a spectacular view of the ocean, Orient Beach and St Barth's. The service was excellent and the meals in the restaurant were some of the best we had on the island.
