This is the best casual dining in Marigot. |

| We have been visiting St. Martin for 18 years, and never miss a chance to dine at La Belle Epoque. It's right on the water, the food is always excellent, and the staff is friendly. It's also a good place to watch people, have some good food and get some sun. We usually come here at least two times during a one-week visit to the island. |

Every Year Sapphire Blue Beautiful Visited: September 2009 |

| The Rooms are big, tile, stone and very nice mostly the are peoples condo's. We allways make the reservation thru Wyndam National BUT You must call the hotel direct and confirm what unit you are staying in. My wife and i have been to the saphire eight times every stay has been great. we noticed the last tie the restaurant was being operated like a sub contractor from France or something so go out and get your own food. You will be using the best beach in St Maarteen Mullet beautiful sand and beautiful ocean. The complex has a two level parking we have never stayed in the Villas cause we allways stayed on the sixth or seventh floor end units two or three bed rooms with wrap around balconys and tubs. Coupocoy is kind of neat good every thing is really kind of low keyed. Do your self a favor call ahead to make sure the suite you want is available | |

| We have stayed here seven times, and have always enjoyed it. Make sure you call the hotel direct to confirm which unit is available. They have about different units. We usually get the south tower, fifth-floor end, two-bedroom unit. You will have what we consider the nicest beach available. On the property is Cupecoy Beach (clothing optional). Go to the tunnel during low tide and go to the right. You'll see every color of the rainbow. |

nice location Visited: July 2009 |

| I agree with the person before us, the location was amazing. We loved Happy Bay and Friars Beach. The views from the house were beautiful and we love St. Martin in general. The only things I could add are the Jacuzzi is not hot, it's just another small pool above the main pool. We were told differently. Also we came with older children and the layout was difficult for us as well. The daily staff only speek French, this was a problem if you needed to ask for anything like pool towels. We also got "locked in" the house one day when the current went out and we had not been instructed on how to open the gate manually. The phone does not work when the power goes out so we could not call anyone, fortunately for us it came back on in a short while. This could have been a major problem had the power not come on so soon. We would go back to St. Martin again but I'm not sure where we would stay. Hi, Thanks for this . Most of the issues mentioned have been fixed I think : Jacuzzi – there is no Jacuzzi Housekeeper: she has been replaced. The new housekeeper speaks good English Caretaker: He has gone and the new housekeeper lives onsite in the caretaker's apartment Gate to manual: the new housekeeper will be able to assist guests with problems as she speaks English and lives on site Phone: I have asked the owner to change the phone to a standard model that does not need an electrical supply to operate. Thanks for the feedback and can you please add my comment onto your website as a reply to your clients feedback Many thanks and have a good weekend Lisa - Property Manager |

This is a hidden gem. Visited: April 2009 |

| I have been traveling to St. Maarten for 26 years and found this to be the nicest place at which I have stayed. The planes coming and going weren't a bother to us at all. We stayed for two weeks in April 2009, and after just a few short days didn't even hear the planes anymore. One reviewer stated that the planes come and go until 11 pm. We didn't find that to be true at at all. The water was a little rough the weeks we were here, but we just went to the pool for a while and cooled off. I enjoyed this place so much I am already booked for 2010 and 2011. Thanks, Yolanda, for having such a great place in my favorite home away from home. |

The Best Place I've ever stayed at in the Caribbean Visited: November 2008 |
|

| I love Villa Belle Mer! This place is the best I've ever stayed at in the Caribbean and the value for the cost is incredible. I love the fact that the layout allows privacy when you go with friends or family - especially that it is a great place for two couples who can have their own master bedrooms on other sides of the estate. Each bedroom also has it's own bathroom with granite countertops and marble floors too - so the privacy for everyone is great. I am a gourmet cook and even though we often eat out at the many restaurants - the kitchen is great to create a great meal. The most important thing above all is the expansive outdoor living and dining area on the terrace. We spend most of our time there if we're not upstairs lounging in the library listening to the ocean breeze! I can't say enough positive things about this place!!! | |

It was deplorable. Visited: September 2009 |

| We paid $300 per week to stay here, but for anyone who is paying more, listen up. The rooms were fine, but outdated. They were very large with kitchenettes and balconies. The housekeeping staff was great, too. However, management was so terrible, that I will not stay here again. Our bathtub/shower was clogged with so much hair that after two minutes I was standing in water up to my ankles. It took four calls down to the front desk, and then I finally waved down a housekeeper to clean it out. She had no idea there was a problem. We were asked to switch rooms with a note under the door that I found at 10:30 am. It read that we had to be out by 11 am that same day. When we went down to get new keys, they didn't know which room we were supposed to go to - or if the room was even available. In our new room the front door didn't lock. We told them about it at night, and the front desk person said he would look at it that night. He didn't. I called down the next day, nothing. I called down again and finally someone came up to fix it. However, then they made me come downstairs to get our keys fixed. When I went back up to the room, they didn't work. I went back down - nothing again. This time we called and someone finally came up with new keys. In addition, the hotel is not really within walking distance of anything. There is no beach, although there is good snorkeling right in front of the hotel. The food options are very limited and pricy. Do not stay here unless you get a seriously great rate. |

| We really enjoyed our stay in the new building at Princess Heights. Our unit (#806) was gorgeous and spotlessly clean. Service was friendly and helpful. We have always been a little skeptical when places talk about "luxury" accommodations, but this place is the real deal: marble floors, granite counter tops, flat screen TVs, and high end furnishings. They also have a fully equipped kitchen with full size appliances, Jacuzzi bathtubs, an extremely comfortable bed, and a large balcony with table for six. Every room, and of course, the balcony, has incredible views of the ocean, the beach, and St. Barts. The surrounding area is peaceful, uncrowded and scenic. There are also a number of restaurants in all price ranges, a marina and a Westin hotel nearby. Most of the area consists of expensive hillside villas. Nearby are nature reserves with hiking, unspoiled beaches, horseback riding, even a butterfly farm (a must see). There is very little traffic on this part of the island. We really appreciated not having to deal with the traffic jams, crowds and bridge closing times like we did when we previously stayed in the Simpson Bay and Maho/Cupecoy areas. The French side, including Orient Beach, is a short drive away. All in all, I would highly recommend Princess Heights. We have not found anything comparable in our 10+ years of visiting the island, and the rates are amazingly low for what you get. Also, I suggest you request a unit at the ocean end of the new building due to added privacy and better views (except ground floor units). |

| The staff was courteous, fun and helpful. The food was 'island good', and the pool and beach were superb. Anyone who complains about this place should give their heads a shake. You are on an island - not at home. Of course you will need a car, but the taxi fares are low and taxis are easy to get. St. Maarten is a laid back island. If you want fun and more night life, go to Aruba or Jamaica. Rest and enjoy the beautiful beaches, snorkeling, and the lovely people of the island. Stop complaining or go home! St. Maarten is my home away from home. |

| The ladies and I had a wonderful time at Princess Heights. The staff we encountered were very helpful, and the condo was beautiful. Being at PH made me feel like I never left my own home in the states (excluding the view). The condo was clean and decorated tastefully. The view outside our balcony was of Dawn Beach and the mountains. The kitchen was stocked with necessities, including complimentary soda, beer and water. Waking up every morning to the view of Dawn Beach was breathtaking. I wish I could bottle it up and bring it home. Thanks for making our stay pleasant. |

This is among the finest properties in Dutch St. Maarten at Dawn Beach. Visited: August 2009 |
|
| Posted by usatravelerusa7 | |
| This property is not directly on the beach (it is situated directly adjacent to the Westin on Dawn Beach). However, we had a magnificent view from our fifth floor full-windowed living room of Dawn Beach and the Caribbean Sea with St. Barths providing a lovely, distant backdrop. We enjoyed perfect temperatures and nice breezes both day and evening. It was a delight to have dinner on the balcony. The beach was a five-minute walk from Princess Heights. The property had a private guard on duty around the clock at its gated entrance. We also observed a second guard making rounds at night checking to ensure guests' rental cars were locked. The suite's interior was appointed like any fine hotel (the pre-trip pictures of Princess Heights are a reliable indication of what you will see on site). Staff was very friendly and accessible, though never under one's feet. Daily maid service was provided, too. Our kitchen had all the modern conveniences and even a few luxury appointments (granite counters). It was a treat to find our refrigerator already stocked with an array of complimentary beverages upon our arrival. The only inconvenience with our suite was the air conditioner's inside fan noise. It was rather loud - so much so that one could barely hear the large-screen LCD televisions in the living room and master bedroom. They really should dampen the air conditioner's fan noise. Again, this was our only minor complaint and barely worth mentioning here. Besides, one really doesn't need the a/c on very much at all. We kept it off except at mid-day and slept with the windows open so we could hear the ocean's waves. We would rather stay at Princess Heights than at the next door Westin, which was a very nice hotel on the beach. And we would choose Princess Heights whenever we stay again in St. Maarten. It is highly recommended. |

| There are new owners as of two years ago. The house has been completely redone! We stayed for 10 days and to say that it was paradise is an understatement. The villa is so incredibly luxurious. The owners have amazing taste. Everything is just so beautiful. We are never renting a different villa. We hope to stay at La Dacha during all future vists to the island. | |

| I just returned from the Sapphire. We have been to the island many times, and own at the Pelican. This was our first and last time at the SBC. The staff was rude, surly and uncaring. It took two and a half days to get our safe fixed, so we were forced to carry around our valuables. There was no main safe available. It also took two days to get the bedroom fan fixed, and two days to get a coffee pot that worked. There were also ants on the kitchen counter, and we received a flat out "no" when I asked if they would mail some postcards. I was told to go to the airport or Simpson's Bay to mail them! The only bright spot was our maid Lena- who was sweet and helpful. Our friends in another room had similar problems, as did most people we spoke with at the pool. Chairs were not available at the pool unless they were broken and not usable. It was not at all what we expected. Saint Maarten was wonderful as always- but we won't stay at the Sapphire again. There are too many other nice places to stay. |

| Everything at Flamingo was great - from the staff to the rooms. We were switched because our AC unit broke, but they were very accommodating during the move. The general manager, William; front desk staff member, Dennis; and all the personnel on site provided us a marvelous experience. My girlfriend and I are real snobs, and the Ritz Carlton has not gotten three stars in my other reviews. The Flamingo had a great location, and cozy feel for a week of total relaxation. I love it and plan to make this an annual visit. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. |

Really nice villa! Visited: June 2009 |

| My friends and I truly enjoyed the villa, the view and the service especially the housekeeper who was quite nice and helpful. The location is great for peace and quiet yet close to dining via 10 minute car ride to Grand Case. To party and for most shopping, we went to the Dutch side. No problem. I have been to St. Martin 5 times and stayed at both sides. THIS WAS THE BEST! | |

| I spent a week in the villa and loved it. It was well kept and very comfortable. The view was great, the pool was great, and the caretakers were wonderful! We usually never stay put while on vacation, but couldn't help to want to just "hang around the house" while we were here. Le Mas Caraibes is highly recommended. |

Ours was a wonderfully relaxing honeymoon. Visited: June 2009 |

| After a year and a half planning for our wedding, it was over in a flash. But we still had the honeymoon. Upon arriving at our villa, we met Olga. She was very sweet and accommodating. She showed us around the villa and where everything was. The view was just gorgeous, and the pool was our own sanctuary. The kitchen was well equipped and even had an ice machine. The living room was relaxing and had a nice TV. A small problem with the cable remote not working was handled by simply walking up to the dish box and manually changing the stations. The bedroom had an air conditioner, which was nice for sleeping. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were a bit harder than what we were used to. Internet service was great, and we were able to use the sky phone to call home. Overall, the villa was great. It was just what we needed to spend time with and enjoy each other. |
