This is the best casual dining in Marigot. |

| We have been visiting St. Martin for 18 years, and never miss a chance to dine at La Belle Epoque. It's right on the water, the food is always excellent, and the staff is friendly. It's also a good place to watch people, have some good food and get some sun. We usually come here at least two times during a one-week visit to the island. |

It's always a treat. |

| This time we came here twice, and the food was fantastic. It is more than a steakhouse. | |

| We went to St. Martin for first time this February. We do not go for fancy and expensive but, for authentic, tasty and friendly. Our meals at the Boat House were so great, with friendly service and Caribbean atmosphere, that we went there four nights in a row. Whenever and where ever my husband and I go out for dinner, if there is calamari, my husband orders it. Here they had "calamari with pepperoncini. It was the absolute best: tender, not chewy and very tasty with lots of flavor. The "hot, hot, hot shrimp" was excellent, as well. I had the mahi mahi with caesar salad: seared to perfection, not dry and again - tasty. I began every meal with a "ti-punch", that always means Caribbean to me. We will go back! |

| La Belle Epoque is consistently excellent. Their pizza is phenomenal, and the desserts are some of the best. While there recently, I discovered their pina colada. It is one of the best I've ever had. I also love the staff. They are warm and friendly. It's why we come here multiple times during our trips. |

La California has a beautiful view, but horrible staff. |
|
| Posted by sxmtourist | |
| La California looks nice from the outside, but the servers are terrible. Also, the food was poorly prepared, the seafood was questionable, and the owner was a nasty man with no ability to take feedback or criticism of his lousy food and service. Please don't waste your money here. |

It was just okay dining. |

| I expected more from the reviews. It was very casual, and the food was okay. There were too many other options on the island, so if you are pressed for time, I'd probably skip this one. | |

| Kokomarina serves great drinks and has amazing service! Koko takes care of you, assuring you have everything you need. Our drinks were always cold, and shots were very generous. |

L'Auberge Courmande is nice. |

| They serve nice food with good service. It can be hot and noisy, though. It's on the side of street away from the ocean. Also, the prices are high. | |

Wow! |

| This is my favorite place in St. Martin. I have eaten here several times since they opened in 2002. It is superb. The pasta is the best ever....even better than in Italy. Ciro is a master chef. His entrees are works of art...and taste wonderful. For dessert, try the cheesecake. It is light and yummy. |

| On the marina, eat at La Belle Epoque. They serve nice salads and pizza, and the portions are huge. Share! | |

| Le Bec Fin is no longer in business. The business has been sold and reopened as a new restaurant. | |

I encountered a low quality food and deceitful staff. |
|
| Posted by lai | |
| The staff was deceitful with the bill. They added a service charge, 15% gratuity, and then asked for another tip, saying that service charge was not 15% gratuity. Also, it was overpriced and low quality food. The rack of lamb was overcooked and dry. The ribs were dry and hard, too. |

Beautiful beach but Kakao Beach restaurant is awful |
|
| Posted by emme | |
| We experienced terrible customer service here. We waited a long time to get our food and it was not very good (to put it nicely). And they are so disorganized they said I didn't pay for my food even though I had my bill. I have seen a complaint like this before for this same place so I guess I am not surprised. Go to the beach but pass on this restaurant! | |

La California new menu |
|
| Posted by sylvianel | |
| La California changed owners beginning of December 2006. A young and charming couple took over: Vanessa and Patrick know the business and are good at it. Bruno the new chef seems to love his job. The new menu is a good and welcome surprise: Don't miss the monkfish dressed in bacon with a pepper sauce. Food is great right now and 1$ for 1Euro makes it a very good value. Keep up the good work.
