At all times during our stay at this hotel, we felt loved. The front office people were very friendly, and helped us out with many things - such as taxi arrangements, excursions and flight confirmation.
The food in the restaurant was excellent, and the waitresses were always interested in our possible needs.
We really felt loved by everyone: the staff, and the manager, who made us feel very welcome.
We love you too, guys! We can't wait to come back. |

I stayed here with the intention of staying for two or three nights. When I arrived, I was offered a room, but was told it did not have a balcony (of which I accepted). The rate was $135 per night - plus 17% tax.
The next morning I asked for a change of room or a reduction in the rate. I was told that the price was the same, and that it was the only room available, as this was kept and only used as an overspill room.
The room was very noisy from traffic and from the air conditioner. I thought this room was just one of the "hole in the wall" types. The room also had a very strong musty smell.
The location was far from ideal as it involved a long walk to the beach and was far from any attractions or other activities.
After consideration, I decided to phone around to find another hotel....at 10.30am I went to checkout, and guess what! They offered to only charge me $88 for the next night, but offered no reduction for the first night. I refused the offer.
I left and checked into 'The Cobblestones Inn' at just $75 (inclusive). It was a little paradise.
Believe me, the Villa Lodge is very overrated and overpriced. I would certainly not recommend Villa Lodge to anyone, or visit the place again. |

We stayed at the Villa Lodge Hotel after a sailing trip around the Grenadines.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful with reservations for a sightseeing trip and our somewhat complicated flight confirmations.
The rooms were large and comfortably furnished. We appreciated the choice of air conditioning or a fan. The food in the hotel's restaurant was some of the best we had on the island. |

Quiet, relaxing atmosphere, and outstanding friendly staff. Visited: April 2004 |

I have stayed at the hotel (10 weeks in all) for each of my four business trips to beautiful St. Vincent. My second trip this year in late Febraury had a memorable moment as I was greeted upon my arrival at the front desk with a simple "Welcome Home" and a big smile from the pretty office manager. No two words could have ever had more of an impact in summarizing my experiences and expectations at this hotel. The meals, special requests, and services were all top notch complete with some "extra special" treatment. In fact, I must return and will do so this time with my wife and daughter for a two week vacation during the 2004 Carnival celebration this summer. I can't wait to get back "home". |

My wife and I were on holiday in St. Vincent. Right from our first contact with the staff at the reception desk, an impression of a friendly environment was obvious. The hotel is well located, a stone’s throw to the beach, easily accessible from the capital and the airport. Facilities like the swimming pool, bar and restaurant are well run and maintained with delicious meals and prompt room service. The room is comfortable, homey, and always kept tidy. In addition, the staff was very friendly, always there and eager to help. Our stay in this facility was indeed a memorable one. |

Having stayed at Villa Lodge at intervals over a nearly 20 year period, it is always a pleasant surprise. Modest, but clean and well located, it has a remarkable staff. They have been kind and efficient; helpful even to guests staying at less cordial, more visible properties nearby. We have stayed here ourselves, usually when more luxurious spots were unavailable, and have never been disappointed. We have sent clients for short stays before they join yachts for sailing. Everyone has praised the staff for their friendly and efficient help with lost luggage and flight delays. We have even had several occasions when guests from other hotels have been assisted by these generous and kind folks. This kind of genuine concern for their guests has moved this up to an "always recommend" property. No weary traveler is unhappy to get a warm friendly welcome, which is always waiting at Villa Lodge in St. Vincent. |

My family and I always stay at the Villa Lodge when we're in St. Vincent. They go out of their way to make us feel at home. Our vacations spent there are so enjoyable that we hate to leave. We feel safe there, too, and never have a problem with theft which we hear is common among other hotels. They have an on-sight restaurant which is very good. If you're visiting, try out the fried breadfruit - it's wonderful and the dinner of fresh fish absolutely memorable. |
