1.0 stars It is apparently abandoned now. Visited: January 2010

I visited by boat in January 2010. The place is apparently abandoned and non-operational. There was no bar or restaurant, and no services of any kind.

Actually, there was no one there except a local man who sort of looks after the place and spends portions of his days fishing off what used to be a dock.

It appears to have been beautiful at one time.

There is fantastic snorkeling in the small bay, though!

We spent our honeymoon at Petit Byahaut. It was wonderful. It was as if that week was made just for us. The whole resort was beautiful and more natural than practically anywhere else you will find.

We went in June - the rainy season. While there were a few showers, there was only one day when it rained, and even that was relaxing and enjoyable. And we were the only guests there! Good luck finding that anywhere else. We had the whole beach/resort to ourselves every day.

This was a place to enjoy your company rather than the television, enjoy the ocean instead of a pool. And it was also a wonderful haven where spirituality can easily bloom.

The diving was superb as was the snorkeling, kayaking, and adventures they offered. We hiked to the rim of a volcano, which was a first for both of us.

And the food was some of the best we've had in our lives. We enjoyed fresh fish every night and fresh fruit every morning. Mmmm.

If you are into a true vacation, a time to get away from the modern world as you know it, Petit Byahaut is the perfect escape.

We'll be back, I'm sure.

This is my all-time favorite vacation spot.

The people here are great and the food is wonderful. I could just relax and do nothing or scuba dive, sail, hike, etc.

It is beautiful place.
