Once owned by a renowned botanist, the Spring House gardens are noted for their wide variety of flora. Everywhere you look there are breath-taking displays of colour and texture as the 12-month growing season we enjoy continually delivers the bounty of nature.

Spring House’s distinctive architectural style offers a quiet, sophisticated charm and elegance. With over 10,000 sq.ft / 1,000 sq.m. of space, members of a family or group can enjoy sharing a private villa without living in each other’s pockets all the time. It is furnished to the highest level, including the use of many locally hand-crafted pieces. As well as all the usual conveniences one would expect, Spring House has discreetly included modern technologies such as ultra-quiet air-conditioning, plasma TVs, iPod docking stations and hairdryers.

The main level at Spring House features a private swimming pool (40ft / 12.2m), gazebo and pool bar including fully stocked beverage cooler, TV and sound system. Separate lounge with 32in (81.3cm) plasma television with 50+ channels, DVD player, video game connections and stereo system. Large 12-seat dining room. Breakfast patio. Semi-formal tropically furnished drawing room, with covered wrap-around mahogany verandah featuring extensive wicker seating and casual dining area. Fully applianced kitchen. Barbecue, table-tennis table, secluded garden patios, basketball and badminton court. Handicapped ramp from main level to swimming pool deck.

The large East Drawing Room is tastefully decorated with colonial plantation-style furniture, perfect for afternoon tea, playing cards, or relaxing during the evenings.

There are six air-conditioned suites, with another bedroom and bathroom (disabled access) available by prior arrangement. Child facilities (cots, cribs, highchairs, etc also available). The bedroom suites are generously sized with plenty of storage space, and enjoy spectacular ocean views from their verandahs. Tropical sunshine floods each room, with louvered hardwood doors offering shade and a pleasant through breeze just right for an afternoon nap. The crisp white linen and swathes of fabric adorning each four-poster bed give an exotic feel to the rooms, providing you with the perfect setting to unwind and relax. The large bathrooms feature individually designed mosaics, by a prominent local artist, depicting flora and fauna native to Bequia.

In the East wing, the Master Suite is a 350 sq.ft. / 32.5 sq.m. double bedroom with views out to the coconut palms and ocean below; a king-size four-poster bed with romantic netting and lace trim; large wrap-around verandah with sun-loungers and hammock; en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower; large walk-in closet.

The West Wing houses the balance of the bedrooms. The large, elegant hardwood verandah offers a cooling breeze and stunning views over Spring Bay. Pour yourself a glass of wine, sit back and enjoy the view. Beneath it, the master suite verandah offers seclusion and privacy.

The gazebo and pool bar is the spot where you, your family and friends, may spend many happy hours. This "hub of the house" offers shade from the tropical sun, a tropical breeze, TV, a 100W Bose stereo system and iPod dock.

The designer Swimming Pool is entered by steps to a wide shallow area, ideal for children, with the opposite end reaching over 7 ft / 2.1 m. in depth. A locally-crafted bridge leads you over the pool to the Gazebo and Pool Bar. A large sun deck wraps around the pool and features sun-loungers and umbrellas.

There is an all-inclusive rate plan (on request) that covers everything you might want including onward flights, jeeps, meals and open bar, or set your own pace with the standard plan. Whatever your choice, Spring House is the perfect choice. Disabled access and child friendly.

The housekeeper is available during normal working hours and on call other times. The 24-hour Caretaker lives onsite in his own separate staff house.
