Description:

Close to the Crown Point airport, and on the beautiful Store Bay, the Tropikist Beach Hotel provides reasonably priced accommodations and comfortable facilities in the 54 room, three-story complex. Just 5 minutes from the airport, close to other hotels and restaurants, and on the popular Store Bay, Tropikist is a good mid-level choice on Tobago's West End.

All rooms are air-conditioned, have ocean views, balcony or patio, cable television, phone, and hair dryer. Standard, superior, and deluxe are your choices, some have closer views of the ocean, all are around the two large pools, one for children and one free-form pool with a swim-up bar and waterfall. The white sand beach is just steps away, curving around Store Bay to other hotels and the public beach. A fun place to visit on the weekends to browse around the informal market and sample a roti at one of the local food vendors.

The Bayside Bar & Grill serves casual meals, drinks and snacks daily. In the Sunset Restaurant you can watch the famous West End sunsets while enjoying a tropical beverage and the chef specials that include local fresh fish and favorite Caribbean specialties at dinner. A walk around the Crown Point area with many other hotels and restaurants will let you experience a variety of tasty Tobago cuisine.

Recreational facilities include the large pools, cricket and volleyball. Massage services and babysitting are available at the hotel. An on-site scuba diving shop, Sublime Scuba, offers dive classes, rental equipment, and daily boat dives. They also offer sailing, windsurf, and water-ski instruction and can arrange sport fishing, sailing and snorkeling day trips on a 28-foot yacht or a 40-foot trimaran. Nightlife can be found all around the Crown Point area at the various hotels, bars, and at the hotel disco where live entertainment is featured weekly. The capital city of Scarborough is 10 minutes away. Rental cars and jeeps are available for daily or weekly rental and taxis are plentiful.
