enchanted Waters boasts comfort in the tropics. Visited: December 2007
Posted by susanelie
The spirit of Enchanted Waters comes from the warmth of its owners, the Patinos, and their staff.

This hotel was clean and comfortable. The grounds were well decorated with trees, flowers, water fountains and a small variety of birds which fly freely.

They were accommodating with helping us with our inquisitive minds regarding the island. They also made sure that our son's rehearsal dinner would be a special evening that he and fiance would remember.

We will be forever grateful to them for making our vacation here a lasting memory.

I cannot wait to return. Visited: July 2007

A lodging experience can be devastating when visiting a family property. I was made to immediately feel welcomed. Every need was met by the staff.

Also, the food was impeccably presented.

I left, all too soon, in an enchanted state that exceeded my expectations.

Enchanted Waters was quiet, peaceful and charming. Visited: September 2006

We booked two rooms, and stayed here for two nights. It was off season, so the place was quiet, which only added to the magic.

The landscaping was amazing - hummingbirds and fish ponds everywhere, and as many different types of flora as I could pick out from across the island were flashing their colours all around us.

The staff was really nice. In fact, the owners let us stay well past check-out time due to our late flight, with no issues.

I was really happy with the place. The pool was perfect for lounging around in, and the location of the hotel was just close enough to everything without being in the middle of all the tourist chaos. We were left pretty much to ourselves and felt like the whole place was there for our enjoyment (which it actually was!).

I highly recommend the hotel - the only regret I have was the famous restaurant on-site (called Patino's) was closed for renovations and upkeep. To have had a meal under the stars on the patio would have been delightful.

All in all - I suggest you pick this place!

We had a wonderful holiday at Enchanted Waters. Visited: March 2006

We spent two wonderful weeks at Enchanted Waters. The Patinos made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They arranged a car for us, as indeed, you need it to travel around.

Enchanted Waters was ideally located, it was near the supermarket and other amentities.

The food at Patinos' was excellent. I have never had such a big lobster which tasted so great.

My wife and I will be back.

We were a group of nine people from Sweden. The Patinos and their staff did more than enough to make our stay the fairytale we all experienced.

We enjoyed good food, great service, clean rooms and very beautiful surroundings. If they want us back, we´ll be back!

A small group of my friends and I went to Tobago to attend a wedding and we stayed at Enchanted Waters. We could not have been happier!

It was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the breakfast and daily chats with the owners, who always assisted us with advice, directions, etc. We felt like part of the family and fully intend to return.

Enchanted Waters offers a very peaceful and homey atmosphere, and great food. Visited: May 2005

For our honeymoon we decided on Enchanted Waters Hotel. Part of the reason also was to allow Hazel (my wife) to see Ken and Marcia Patino. They knew each other from Winnipeg some years back.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was to our liking. The food was great, the service was lovely, and the hotel has a homey and peaceful atmosphere.

We are hoping very much to return next year. It is the ideal place to kick back, relax and determine your own pace.

My husband and I spent an enchanted weekend here for my high school class reunion.

Everyone went out of their way to make it a truly memorable occasion. The meals and accommodations were excellent, and the owners and staff were both professional and very friendly.

My high school classmates and I decided to celebrate our 60th birthday with a weekend reunion in Tobago. We chose Enchanted Waters - what an excellent choice we made.

We had fun from beginning to end, and the Patinos really made us feel like part of the family. I am happy to recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Enchanted Waters was homey, comfortable, and convenient. Visited: February 2005
Posted by dconner1492
We had stayed at Enchanted Waters in 2004 with good friends, and had the two suites on the third floor. They connected by a hallway and we were able to share many happy times on both balconies.

We returned with four more friends in February 2005 and stayed in three of the standard suites. We enjoyed these rooms and balconies as well. We had met the Patinos in Tobago a number of years ago and indeed feel like "family" when we returned.

We loved the pool. The hassles of travel are getting to us, but if we return to the Caribbean again this winter I am sure we would check with the Patinos first. I felt very secure in their facility.

It was absolutely fantastic - friendly folks and good food. Visited: February 2005

My husband, our two girls and I just returned from Tobago. We only wished that our trip permitted us to spend more than two days. It was beautiful. This was the very first visit for my family (I was born in Trinidad).

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food at Patino's restaurant was absolutely delicious (the pumpkin soup was out of this world), and the live entertainment was fantastic. My husband and I also enjoyed the serene atmostphere.

The Patinos were also quite friendly. We look forward to returning to Tobago in the near future, and will definitely stay at Enchanted Waters.

We stayed for 26 days. Visited: January 2005

We started out with a reservation for seven days. But after seeing a lot of other hotels all over the island, we soon decided to stay at Enchanted Waters for three more weeks, before going north.

The rooms were cozy and clean, the people were very nice and helpful, and our three kids loved the pool.

Enchanted is what we became during our six-week stay. Visited: January 2005

Not knowing what to expect and getting more than we could have hoped for is what we received as guests at Enchanted Waters.

The personal attention to our every need was met with smiles and helpfulness. Courtesy and thoughtfulness were defined at this small hotel and restaurant. Its small size is supersized by the friendly and accommodating family and staff.

The chef was superb, the housekeeping was thorough, and guests' safety was guaranteed. Tobago became more than we expected because of our stay at the Enchanted Waters Hotel. Thank you!

The Patinos and Enchanted Waters are.....simply the best! Visited: January 2005
Posted by mike2
We stayed with the Patino family and their equally friendly staff for two wonderful weeks from January 22, 2005.

In our mid fifties, we are fortunate to be able to travel extensively world-wide, and sample all types of hotels, guest houses, villas, apartments etc. The accommodation, food, service, surroundings and facilities were just as described on the website.

We were made to feel extremely welcome throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble for the Patinos and their excellent staff.

Two weeks before our holiday, we had decided to get married in Tobago. And for the first three or four days, we toured various sites looking for the perfect venue for our ceremony, just to return to Enchanted Waters and realize that we had already found it!

Mrs. Patino became our surrogate mum and confidante, and assisted us to create a wonderful and memorable day. The decorations around the garden combined with a beautiful Caribbean tropical table setting and wonderful meal for us and our local friends to make our day very exclusive and special.

We have hundreds of photos from the occasion, but the outstanding memory is of Mrs. Patino (Marcia) and her family's untroubled assistance , and we simply could not have chosen anywhere better in the world for our wedding in paradise.

Enchanted Waters boasts perfect hosts. Visited: January 2005

From the moment of check-in we enjoyed staying with Patino family. There was trust and warmth in the air, and we could count on them. Whatever we wished - we had.

The hotel was situated very conveniently. The room was clean, and the pool area was very comfortable. In the restaurant, we could get excellent food!

I can definitely recommend a stay here! Thank you Roger, Simone and Mr. and Mrs. Patino!

Rip Off Visited: January 2005

Party of 4, checkin was a breeze. On entering our rooms, we found the smell offputting as if the washrooms were improperly ventillated. The floors appeared to need a good scrubbing and polishing. I can only guess that the cost perhaps justifies what we got.

We had dinner that night, and when we saw the prices on the menu, it was sheer embarrassment to leave at that point. Having tried several restaurants in Tobago, we can say, you can get far better value for money elsewhere. The rum punches which we had were watered down versions of the commercial brands available and at extremely high prices for one drink. You can't help but feel cheated by the entire experience.

You can do much better in Tobago and Enchanted Waters can give Tourism a bad name.

Visitors beware - it was a nice place, but with bad service. Visited: December 2004
Posted by jsmith3439
I chose this small hotel based on the reviews on the website, but I was highly disappointed with the service.

We arrived on time to an abrupt and unfriendly welcome. We had to wait 45 minutes for our room to be cleaned. We were not even compensated with a smile for this long wait.

The information we received indicated that breakfast ended at 10:00 am, but when I showed up at 9:30 am, I was told that I should have been there by 8:30 am and a quickie alternative was slapped on my table. I refused to eat dinner there and chose a nearby restaurant, which was great.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the cleaning staff was warm. Even the surroundings were beautiful. But I found the management to be inhospitable, and I thought Mrs. Patino, the "head honcho" was obnoxious.
