I was treated like royalty! Visited: November 2003 Posted by reddantt This was the best in the island. The staff was lovely. My wife fell in love with it and I did too. Visited: June 2002 Posted by dragondragon The rooms and halls were a bit grubby, the a/c was marginal during the rainy heat, and a noisy, decidedly down-scale clientele made it tough to sleep. All the service personnel (front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping) were extremely helpful and friendly. The Kapok is conveniently located to the capital of Port-of-Spain and the Savannah. Clean, friendly, convenient and relatively cheap Visited: November 1999 Posted by csimms The Kapok is a budget-minded alternative to the Hilton in Port of Spain. Convenient walking distance to most downtown businesses, it has more of an island feel. A bit slow service-wise, sometimes, but nonetheless, a worthwhile try for traditional Hiltonites. Tiki restaurant is excellent, with dynamic views of Port of Spain and the harbor.
