Ocean Point made our stay so rewarding, I will not forget the friendliness and homey feeling we received from the staff.
We won't forget Rhonda, Lynette and Mr. Stafford for a while to come. They provided us with excellent service.

We had a wonderful time at Ocean Point. They provided a lot of extra help in making arrangments for our wedding in Tobago. Many of our guests stayed at Ocean Point and were very pleased with the hotel and the staff. Lynette made wonderful food at the restaurant - just as she did on our visit a few years ago. We have many wonderful memories, and we will be back! |

The friendliness made all the difference. Visited: September 2004 |

The seven days we spent at the Ocean Point Apartment Hotel were an absolute joy. We also stayed in one of the bigger Tobago resorts for a week, and there was just no comparison.
The smiles and friendly atmosphere at Ocean Point made all the difference. A special thanks to all the staff for making us feel safer during the unwelcome visit of hurricane Ivan. Lynnette's home-style food was as tasty as everyone said, and Ivan's singing and dancing while working hard made us feel happy, relaxed and welcome every single day.
Ocean Point was a small, family-style hotel, but offered incredible warmth and value for the money. The rooms had a fridge, cable tv, plenty of space, and they were kept very clean, and had everything we needed, including hammocks on the balcony.
With a decent beach so close, and a restaurant that good on-site, we didn't even have to have a car to enjoy staying here. Ocean Point was equally close to Crown Point and Scarborough, and offered quick access to the main highway.
Tobago was such a beautiful and friendly island, untouched by the mass tourism, maintaining its own unique pace; definitely worth exploring at length. And the hotel had its own in-house drivers, of course. Stafford picked us up at the airport and gave us a first taste of beautiful things to come with his smiles, courtesy, and relaxed behaviour (thanks for the fruit, too).
Upon our melancholic return to Greece, a nice "Welcome back home" e-postcard from the Ocean Point staff was even waiting for us. Thank you so much! We hope to be back next year. We definitely know which hotel we'll stay in when we return to Tobago. |

We stayed at Ocean Point Hotel, and met Kalli - who was so nice to us. Lynette and Ivan - at the Garden Grille Rest - always made meal time fun. Also, Rhonda and Allison always kept our comfortable apartment sparkling.
In addition, we appreciated the informative taxi driver and we were impressed with Ram, who was responsible for the beautiful surroundings. Our stay in Tobago was truly a remarkable vacation. Our memories we have from Ocean Point - we will cherish forever. |

This is a great little spot to chill out in Tobago. Visited: March 2004 |

We have just come back from a wonderful holiday in Tobago staying at Ocean Point.
It was a great little spot where we were able to chill out with the excellent help of the staff and the taxi driver George, who were all founts of knowledge and immediately put us at our ease.
They served super food in a lovely intimate atmosphere, and provided a wonderful wild beach just two minutes away for a dawn walk, and a pool to idle in.
The front office booked diving and golf for us, and we have rarely had so much relaxing fun and pleasure. Walking through the virgin rain forest was breathtaking, and it was followed by a sun set over the sea just ten minutes from the hotel. It was truly heaven on earth!
Ocean Point gets booked up quickly, so we have already booked for next year, and for three weeks instead of two! |

Ocean Point is an ideal location, with friendly staff and great food! Visited: March 2004 |

Ocean Point was an ideal location for our holiday as we especially liked the quiet away from the busy tourist spots. It gave a superb view overlooking the Atlantic Ocean a few minutes walk away and the beach we had virtually to ourselves.
Rooms were comfortable and adequately equipped for our holiday. The staff was very friendly and Lynette's cooking at The Garden Grille was the best we tasted on the island - definitely recommended!
Thanks Kallie for the lovely bottle of bubbly to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful holiday!

We had a wonderful time in Tobago and enjoyed our stay at Ocean Point Hotel. It was a quiet, serene environment, the beach was lovely, and the people were delightful.
We loved the food at the restaurant, and Ivon was a character. He kept us entertained with his singing! Ram was so very helpful in every way. If we needed something, he was the man to see, day or night.
All in all, our stay in Tobago was an unforgettable experience. We're glad we chose Ocean Point and we hope we can return soon. |

We really enjoyed our stay here. Visited: January 2004 |

We really enjoyed our stay here - we recieved great hospitality. They were very gracious to make an exception to the rule and let us have our friends come over for the pre-wedding celebrations. Everyone really enjoyed it.
We also have many wonderful memories of Garden Grille - they made us feel at home in their country. The breadfruit salad they made for our party was out of this world!
The staff members were some of the most charismatic people I've ever met. Our trip would not have been the same without Ivan and Linette. They took us in and made us feel right at home. We wish we could have stayed forever with them! |

It was wonderful to be greeted at the airport, we felt very welcomed to the island of Tobago. We enjoyed two days of touring with Mr. Stafford, the hotel's in-house taxi-driver, it was very enjoyable and he always seemed very interested to answer all of our questions about the hotel. He was an excellent host and guide and a careful driver (we had many experiences that we may not have had if we hadn't toured with him).
The beach within walking distance to Ocean Point was quiet and has a gradual level of water (which we found good for us for swimming). We enjoyed the unspoiled nature of the island, the friendly people, the fact that it is so less densely populated and has fewer tourists than many of the other Caribbean islands. Eco-tourist attractions here need to be promoted more, as it is such a special place to visit.
The rooms at Ocean Point were spacious with a good view (we had an oceanview room), and the kitchen was well equipped with lots of hot water for the shower.
We also ate several times at the Garden Grille Restaurant - we found the food to be very tasty and well-sesasoned. Ivan's service was excellent, he had a wonderful sense of humour, he obviously loves his job.
Overall, we were very impressed with the hotel and its value. |

These accommodations were true in every respect to those portrayed on the website. Any questions posed via email were responded to promptly.
Also, while staying at Ocean Point, tips and suggestions for enjoying Tobago were widely posted and freely given. Any issues whatsover were resolved in a way to assure that all parties were satisfied.
In addition to superb maid service, the small grounds, pool area, etc were remarkably groomed. Every meal at the Garden Grille Restaurant was wonderful, and the restaurant staff was very gracious. |

I cannot recommend this hotel. Visited: December 2003 |

I found the owners to be rude, unhelpful and arrogant. They were seriously overpriced.
I feel that what was once a nice hotel has been allowed to degenerate into a tatty, overpriced block that is more hostel than hotel.
Put simply, for $40 per night there are better accommodations, never mind the $90 they try to charge here! |

The only good thing that I can say about this property is that the web site is cleverly designed. The web site led me to believe I would be experiencing paradise at Ocean Point. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by rudeness and a common lack of courtesy, we could not believe we were paying customers.
My initial requests to use the Internet facilities generated a response of "go back to the airport and use an Internet café", even though facilities were meant to be available. We were then shown to our attic room which had just had some rebuilding work done.
The maid kindly showed us the towels in the bathroom and beach towels that were available for our use. They were threadbare and stained - I use better towels than this to clean my car at home. The room had a very large bed which we later discovered also had sheets that were threadbare and stained. There was also a home made safety deposit box made of plywood screwed into the wardrobe with a hasp padlock.
One of my concerns was that the office where the “willing and helpful staff” could assist us was always closed. It was always open to take our money when we checked in before we saw the rooms. But when we wanted assistance, they were never to be seen - although the times on the door said 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
The office was closed on bank holidays, Sundays and most days. The only phone was in the office, so we were unable to call for taxis (although they advertised an “in-house” taxi driver), book excursions or hire a car. If the management was out for the day, guests were stranded.
You will need transport, as the Ocean Point is a 20-minute walk to the nearest bus route and supermarket, and a 15-minute drive to either Scarborough or Crown Point.
Before we arrived at Ocean Point, we received a invitation to join a seemingly great night on New Years Eve at a cost of £25 pp (paid for in advance). We looked forward to a great night out.
Unfortunately, it would appear the management relied on the tourists to fund an evening for themselves, family and friends to have a good time. There were so many of them the few guests remaining retired to their balconies.
The day before we were due to leave I told one of the maids that she could have the unopened food in the fridge for herself. But when we returned (even though they knew we still had one day of our holiday left) the fridge had been completely emptied. When I complained to the management and asked then to replace some of the food, they refused.
Although checkout time was noon I did ask if we could stay in the room until 4:00 pm, but I was told there would be a charge, the full room rate of $90. Needless to say, we declined. |

This was once again, a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Maid service
was excellent, Rhonda and Allison make a brilliant team. They are always cheerful and extremely friendly. The rooms are impeccable every day.
Also, the office staff ready to say hello and give advice on island trips and places to go. The welcome manual
has great information on places to go, things to do and great restaurants. Thanks again!
At the on-site Garden Grille Restaurant, another year with Lynette, Ivan and the gang and yet again another fab year. Lynette's cooking is always exceptional and has a good variety on the menu. The food is tasty and served with a personal touch.
Ivan is the dancing barman - and he sings, too, which provided us with some funny entertainment on an evening. Thanks again to you all, we'll definitely be back. |

We had a great two weeks. Visited: September 2003 |

We booked two Mastercard packages which included airport transfers, breakfasts, and four days car rental per package. Our flight had a delay, so we had to wait 15 minutes for the taxi.
This was more than compensated for by the delicious breakfasts every morninig with fruit juice, tea / coffee, a plate of fruit, and a variety of things to choose from. For us it was always sufficient to keep us going until dinner.
We extended our rental car for the entire length of our stay as we found it very useful to get around independently. One day, when we came back to the hotel early, at about 4 pm, we found the hammock equipped sundeck right outside our rooms to be extremely valuable. It was a luxurious piece of equipment as we got not just the ocean breeze from the Atlantic, but we got sunshine from the other which the other rooms didn't get. |

The hotel staff was hospitable providing fine meals and excellent service. The room – at least the attic where we stayed – was very much accommodating. They provided a comfortable home away from home.
The hotel provided tourists with excellent, fun-packed activities from snorkeling to hiking. I must say - this has been my best vacation yet! A very fine service was provided by our taxi service – Beardy was an excellent guide.

We enjoyed a peaceful stay at Ocean Point. Our satisfaction was due largely to the charming suites, the well-laid out lounging areas, the local food cooked by Lynette, the friendly and helpful staff and the over all pleasantly “away-from-the-city” atmosphere of the Ocean Point location. Thank you for allowing us to stay awhile with you at a time (the anniversary holiday) when you were so busy. |

Rohani, Rhonda, Allison, Ram, Kallie, Sherry, Lynn, Lynete, Ivan, Marilyn and George offered us wonderful hospitality on our past trip to the ideal island of Tobago in the West Indies. It was much appreciated and made for a most enjoyable experience (second time staying at the hotel).
Tobago the second time around was again lots of fun when we went for our annual curling bonspiel, we re-lived many great memories of our trip.
Hopefully, we'll be able to return again sometime in the future to Tobago and enjoy this hotel's friendly people again. |
