Castara Retreats - Trinidad and Tobago

Castara Retreats is a newly completed eco-resort set into the hillside overlooking the fishing village of Castara on the Caribbean coast of Tobago. The three apartments and three lodges can be rented individually or joined together for groups. They include a penthouse apartment (sleeping 4) with two one bedroom apartments (each sleeping 2)in the main house plus two new cedar lodges (sleeping 2-4) and a renovated fisherman's shack (sleeping 2). All have panoramic views over the broad sweep of Castara Bay and/or look west over the Caribbean. The house and lodges are five minutes from the sandy beach and the village with its little shops and cafes. Backed by protected rainforest and surrounded by tropical gardens, Castara Retreats has an abundance of wildlife from Mot Mots to Hummingbirds, Agoutis and Iguanas. There are pagodas and terraces with comfortable seating set in the gardens which have paved well-lit paths. All accommodation is stylishly furnished and well equipped with quality mattresses, white bed linen and full-size frame mosquito nets. Open spacious covered decks allow unhindered views and cooling breezes to circulate.
