If lobster is in season - August through April - try one of the lobster dishes.
Food is very good, the prices are cheap, and the people are friendly.
Also, there is live music on Friday nights.

(more)Grace's Cottage, the elegant restaurant at Point Grace, seating just 62, serves light, gourmet Caribbean cuisine that showcases the region's strong ethnic influences and finest indigenous foods.
Grace's Cottage is acclaimed as one of the island's finest dining experience.
Our culinary mission is to blend the authentic Caribbean cooking styles with a contemporary flair and delivery without compromising the uniqueness of the cuisine. Modern nutritional and presentation principles are incorporated. Our menus feature fresh ingredients from the islands, as well as imported items carefully selected from this region that have set the culinary stage for centuries.
With a seasonally changing menu, guests are afforded an opportunity to enjoy "a romantic indulgence of exquisite island flavors". The emphasis is on fresh, full-flavored regional ingredients, including mangos, coconut, Kaffir lime and sweet yams.
A sample of menu selections might include Arlequin of Smoked Duck Salad served with Roasted Cherry Tomato & Walnut Vinaigrette, Five Cay Pan Fried Red Snapper with Curry Rice Pilaf & Roaster Pepper Sauce or Marcella Style Grilled Beef Tender Loin Complimented with Truffle Scented Mash Potatoes, Grilled Zucchini & Finished with Madeira Reduction.
A collection of exquisite and unique desserts, including Chocolate Souffle with Vanilla Bean Creme Anglaise or Chocolate and Orange Fondant with a Vanilla Ice Cream & Caramelized Jackfruit Coulis, provide a fitting finale, as do a selection of specialty coffees.
Guests are assisted in choosing exceptional wines to accompany the imaginative island cuisine. A full wine cellar complements the restaurant's already impressive collection.
Grace's Cottage is currently open for dinner only, whilst breakfast and lunch continue to be served at Point Grace's Terrace by the swimming pool.

Here, you will eat (notice, I didn't say "dine") in a tropical lean-to directly on the beach. Shortly after you order conch, you can watch your waiter wade into the sea and retrieve a conch and prepare it as you watch.
Very highly recommended is the conch sauteed in rum and butter sauce, cracked (fried) conch, and conch salad. The conch shacks are cheap, casual, and an experience you will not find anywhere else.
The food is great, fresh, and you will know yuo are not paying for atmosphere (although the atmosphere is quite delightful!).
To get to the conch shacks, take the Blue Hills Road off the Leeward Highway, and once on the Blue Hills Road, turn right at the first paved road which will dead end at the sea. Turn right or left and you will find one. (close) |

By the beach, you eat in a rustic, hmmmm - well, it's not a pavilion, not a shed (though not far removed) - anyway, a homemade 'something" with a roof over it. It's a very pleasant, restful environment where you can have excellent fried conch and seafood dishes, BBQ chicken and ribs.
Wednesday night Smokey has a fish fry on the beach (and inside dining, too), with very loud music, so have your dinner conversations before you get there if you are going on Wednesday! (close) |

The food here is surprisingly good with several well-prepared seafood dishes, as well as non-seafood.
But be warned, the Three Queens is a popular local hang-out where a loud dominoes game is apt to be taking place inside the bar area where it is not uncommon to hear offensive language, or a heated political discussion.
Seating is on the deck facing the sea and parking area or inside the small restaurant area. Dick, the large propietor and bartender, will give you a warm welcome and big smile, and he will look after you well. Also, the prices are very reasonable.
