Q: Trying to plan a week stay next Feb.2009. Is there good snorkeling from shore (maybe even Smith's Reef)? Thinking about staying at Beaches for the kids. Never done an all-inclusive trip before and would like to see how it is. Really would like to be able to walk out of hotel and snorkel whenever we want. Any suggestions? Anyone been to Aruba to compare the snorkeling to T&P? Answer

| A: There is some great shore snorkeling in Turks. Coral Reef Club has a reef just off the beach. Quite popular so it is showing some wear and tear, but nice. Most of Turks beaches are pure white sand though so you will see some fish, but not reefs. Aruba gets deeper more quickly so you will have more snorkeling, but not as pretty beaches. |
