I was here Labor Day weekend. It was a very quiet time on the island. The resort and the staff were wonderful. Despite it being off-season and worrying about tropical storm erica, the weather was just as wonderful.
The resort does not have five-star dining (I understand the main building is to be built), but what they have is lovely. You don't pay top dollar, but have a top dollar location--largest stretch of beach and walking distance to great restaurants. |

Wow! Shat a great place we found. We looked around all over and fell upon this place advertised on the Internet by the owners.
The place was the best decorated place we have ever rented. They even left bottles of wine out for our enjoyment. They had beautiful furniture and a balcony that made us smile whenever we went on it. You only see water and beach and reef.
The resort staff was very friendly, and the grounds were very nicely landscaped. The food was okay, but there were many places close by to enjoy.
I cannot wait to return and enjoy our home away from home. |

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at The Alexandra Resort and Spa.
The resort was beautiful, and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Also, the beach was beautiful. The water was turquoise, and the sand was white.
I can't wait to come back! |

We just came back from our vacation at the Alexandra Resort and Spa. This was our fourth trip to the resort, and my how they've progressed!
The place was more beautiful than ever. The pool has taken on a new look with the wonderful teak furniture that they have placed around the aqua blue pool.
Our staff at the bar couldn't have been more attentive - and let's not forget "fun"! It was so nice to come back to a place where the faces were so friendly and familiar.
One new face that was brightening up the place was our concierge, Sandy. She was so helpful in getting us into spa appointments and restaurants. It was so great to have her help we were drinking up the sun (and a few cocktails!) while she worked her magic on that cell phone.
Then, we had our sports activity fellow, John. He was so wonderful at putting together great trips on the boat he ran. We went out for a day trip with his staff and had a spectacular day - snorkeling, conch divine, shelling and the terrific beach barbecue! |

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Alexandra Resort and Spa. There was plenty of construction going on and we did not mind it at all. In fact, unless you went outside you barely heard any construction.
The only problem we had was transportation. The taxis were very expensive, so if you can drive on the left side of the road, rent a car. Other than that, the Alexandra was great. |

We have a timeshare here and we love it. We know that we are guaranteed warm weather going that far south.
The Alexandra staff is so helpful. You can sail, canoe or snorkel right from your beach. From our 38-foot long balcony on the second floor, we can see turqoise waters, beautiful sunsets and watch the world go by. |

We have been to so many islands now that we've lost track. We've stayed at almost every five-star resort in Hawaii, all over the Caribbean and Mexico but we've been the most impressed with the Alexandra Resort in the Turks and Caicos.
We originally stayed at the Grace Bay Club, but we weren't completely satisfied with it (too expensive for the mediocre service and food). So, we took a walk down the beach and looked around at the Alexandra and completely fell in love with the place. So much so, that we did something we said we would never do and that is - we bought a timeshare there for the whole month of January. For us, this is the perfect place. We don't need to look any further.
It had the most perfect beach we have ever seen, lovely ocean front suites, fantastic pool, great food and the nicest and most helpful people around who work here.
We just can't say enough good things about this place and we are counting the days until we can go back. |

It is my new "home away from home", only with an amazing beach in my front yard.
The people who work here are great. And the food and drinks are exceptional. We have been to the Alexandra four times and have always had a good time. |

This resort was everything and more than we expected!
The pool was large and lovely, the pool bar served food and drinks from early morning to middle evening. The beach was beyond our expectations! It was warm, clear water in which we swam every day! The resort had umbrellas and chaises set up--many more at the pool. There were gentle waves, an exquisite variety of ever-changing colors, beautifully viewed from the oceanfront balcony!
We stayed in a one-bedroom which was perfect for two people. We received clean, new towels daily, beach towels at the pool bar. The people were friendly and helpful.
A kayak was available to guests and they also provided snorkeling gear. The construction was not distracting, but it did go on seven days, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM.
There were many wonderful places to eat around the island. We would recommend a one-bedroom or two-bedroom unit, higher than first level if possible (views were obstructed by the dunes), and west side if you can get it, for the sunset views.
It was a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation! |

Beautiful interior, great location on Grace Bay. Visited: August 2002 |

We highly recommend the Alexandra Resort with the following caveats:
1) This isn't the place for individuals looking to party at night and/or meet singles.
2) They are still doing construction on the remaining buildings in the property. The pool is under construction and the "Spa" part of the resort isn't complete yet. Note: There was no construction noise during our stay. It was quite peaceful.
Having said all that, here are some highlights:
1) The place is brand new; the apartments are immaculate.
2) All rooms are directly on the beach (for the current building, at least).
3) Great spot on Grace Bay. If you have any doubts about the location, trust me - it is right on Grace Bay in a great spot. It's about half-way between the beginning of the resorts and the end of the resorts.
4) Great place for a family. I went only with my wife and the kids-factor didn't bother us, but we noticed quite a few families with their kids - and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. |

We stayed at this resort in March, and it was great.
The rooms were really nice, the view was wonderful and the people were so helpful. We were here during Easter, and they had an Easter egg hunt in the ocean.
They had great grilled chicken, salads, etc. The only reason I rated it a four, was because it wasn't completed when we were here. I'm sure when it is all done, it will be a 5+.
I would like to also thank everyone there for making our vacation so great! |
