Description:
Villa Sounion is a luxury waterfront 6000 sq foot private villa with superb artwork and marble floors throughout. Its elevation gives it beautiful views of the reef and Grace bay. It sleeps 10 in 5 large ensuite bedrooms. Full staff can be provided. It's the ideal location for a luxurious private wedding. Interior and exterior decoration in late 2005.
Villa Sounion was finished in 2000 in a style reminiscent of heritage. The Marble that grace the floors, combine with Cycladic columns in relief and the stunning views form a relaxing backdrop to the cacophony colours of Modern Life depicted on the walls. Feel welcomed!
Step into your Sanctuary. Escape to peace and tranquility away from the frantic pace of work life. Re-discover nature and time to do absolutely nothing but stare into the blue horizon.
Overlooking the Swimming Pool and the Atlantic Ocean beyond, the large (30 x 18ft) living room is lavishly furnished. A mixture of Modern Art adorns the walls. Comfortable sofas and chairs afford relaxation to 10 adults.
There is a telescope with a selection of lenses to view distant ships, the evening lights of Grace Bay or the romantic stars overhead. Night-time viewing is best with as many lights off as possible around the pool area. The villa enjoys both sunrise and sunset views.
There is a full selection of entertainment equipment that resides in the large cupboard in the living room. Villa Sounion also provides a large selection of videos, which are available for guest use. The Villa has satellite reception from DirecTV. The satellite is integrated into the stereo receiver, allowing input from satellite audio channels to be played throughout the villa.
The dining area features a large 10-seat Italianate table and offers formal dining when desired. The room is decorated with Modern Art, high ceiling fans and an Italian Marble floor. A full table setting for 10 is provided: Silverware/China/Wine & Water glasses. Adjacent to the dining room is a Mini-Bar, a wine refrigerator (32 bottle capacity), the kitchen and a guest bathroom.
The patio is one of several places to sit under shade and enjoy the views. Imagine sitting there, reading a book and listening to the gentle ebb and flow of the waves or music from the main stereo system. There is an outdoor dining table adjacent. Dine on Royal Doulton outdoor crockery and drink from unbreakable Stahl glasses.
Access to three bedrooms and the private swimming dock is via a stairwell adjacent to this sitting area.
A spacious, modern and airy kitchen offers commanding views of Grace Bay and the villa's pool. There are 2 informal dining areas outside the kitchen - either the Veranda, overlooking the pool, or the breakfast balcony, overlooking the sea.
The breakfast balcony offers an impressive 180° view of Grace Bay, Thompson Cove and the Blue Mountains. The table sits 6 adults. An electric barbecue grill is available for use on the breakfast balcony - stored either on the balcony or the garage.
The kitchen is equipped with a large fridge/freezer (with ice machine), conventional & microwave ovens, ceramic cooker hobs and a dishwasher. The kitchen has a full compliment of electronic appliances: coffee machine, blenders, mixers, juicer, telephone and TV.
There is a full laundry facility provided within the villa for the guest's use. A Maid & Laundry Service is available at a modest cost - ask us and we'll be glad to arrange it for you.
The villa is cleaned twice a week by the villa staff - a light mid-week clean of the bedrooms and common areas and the major clean (normally) on the weekend.
The 5 bedrooms of Villa Sounion may accommodate up to 10 adults in luxury. There are 2 complete master bedroom suites, 1 large bedroom with a king-sized bed, 1 large bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a twin bedroom, featuring 2 queen-sized beds. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with a shower and generous wardrobe & luggage storage space. All bedrooms face the sea, offering views of Grace Bay. Each bedroom is individually decorated to a high international specification and in harmony with the Modern Art prevalent throughout the house.
The Master bedroom is located on the first floor overlooking the swimming pool and living room. This bedroom offers the guest a private, screened balcony and those early morning scenes of the ocean…just to remind you that its not a dream! The Suite has a wide-screen TV, DirecTV linkage, VCR and an air-conditioner & ceiling fan.
The Suite is equipped with a large bathroom area with duplicated his & hers amenities. This enormous bathroom has two of everything. There are two seperate wash basin areas, two wc's, two shower heads in a shower that could comfortably accommodate the entire villas' occupants. However, it only has one enormous walk-in wardrobe.
The 2nd master bedroom suite overlooks the villa and offers the greatest privacy and stunning balcony views. The room offers a combined bedroom and lounge area, with couch, easy chairs and a writing desk. The amenities offered include TV, VCR, air-conditioner & ceiling fan, and coffee machine. This bedroom offers private access for a completely independent alternative. The 2nd Master bedroom suite has a spacious ensuite bathroom with shower.
Located on the ground floor, the Peach bedroom offers a king-size bed and lounge area with couch, coffee table and easy chair. The amenities offered include TV, air-conditioner and ceiling fan. This bedroom overlooks the garden and offers direct access to the swim dock and the sea. The Peach bedroom has a spacious ensuite bathroom with shower.
Located on the ground floor, the Blue bedroom offers 2 queen-size beds. The amenities offered include TV, VCR, air-conditioner and ceiling fan. This bedroom overlooks the garden and offers direct access to the swim dock and the sea. The Blue bedroom has a spacious ensuite bathroom with shower.
Located on the ground floor, the Glass bedroom offers a queen-size bed and desk. The guest amenities include TV, a broadly stocked bookshelf and ceiling fan. This bedroom overlooks the garden and offers direct access to the swim dock and the sea. This is the smallest bedroom, but it comfortably provides privacy. The Glass bedroom has a spacious ensuite bathroom with shower.
Remember to bring your CD's, DVD's and mask, snorkel and flippers for snorkeling on the reef.

Villa Notes:
Cleaning damages, telephone charges, internet charges and air-conditioning charges are charged separately. You will be notified within 45 days of departure if a fee is taken from your damage deposit for extra cleaning, damages, air-conditioning, telephone or Internet charges.
Electricity:
The first 500 units are free and charges (currently) of $0.45 per unit thereafter will be applied. These rates may vary, in accordance with the prevailing rates charged by PPC.
