I have traveled all over the Caribbean and stayed at many four- and five-star resorts that put this place to shame.
The property is antiquiated and is in need of a major renovation. Everything about this place is spartan at best. The grounds are clean, but unattractive and lacking any type of landscaping that resembles a tropical resort. They could take a lesson by visiting any Iberostar or Occidental property just to name a few.
The GOs were friendly enough. However, the "locals" who worked at the resort were downright rude. The beach lacked shady spots only having ten palapas available for shade! The food was very good, although dining room service was lacking.
Perhaps the worst part about my stay was that at some point after removing my valubles from the room safe and checking out, about an hours time that my bags were out of my site, someone apparently entered my room and relieved me of $450. I also had left a pair of swim trunks in the room and was told that the maid did not find them there upon cleaning the room! They will even steal your swim trunks!
This place uses the old style "key" for room entry and not a magnetic card so anyone who works here could possibly have a key and access to your room at any time while you are not in your room.
When I called to report the missing money and swim trunks I was not allowed to talk to Max (the manager), and it took the resort 24 hours to call me back reporting that they had "interviewed" the housekeeper.
In summary, the great beach and food alone do not a resort make! Don't waste your time or money at this one!

They have the best beach and great food. Visited: December 2008 |

This was our third time staying at Club Med Turkoise. The rooms had been renovated since our last stay in 2003. Beware, however, that the rooms are small and there are no balconies.
However, the updates included hair dryer, iron and board, flat screen TV, nice toiletries and plenty of fresh, fluffy towels. It was also spotlessly clean.
The food was even better than I remembered, particularly in the smaller restaurant (reservations required) where it was almost a five-star.
The employees were all extremely friendly and helpful. The beach was the most beautiful I have ever seen. One can walk for hours on it. There was lots to do at Club Med if one wants, or one can just lie on the beach.
The clientele was older than our first time in 1997. The week we were here, it was mostly an over fifty crowd, with a small number of people in their twenties and thirties. There also seemed to be more couples here than singles.
All in all, considering how expensive Turks & Caicos is, Club Med is excellent (all inclusive) value for your money. |

I came here years ago when so many more singles were here. This time, the third dining room did not even get used.
There were five single girls to 20 single guys. I am a guy, and this was horrible. The employees kept hitting on the five single girls, and they were quite good at it. |

The property needs some updating. Visited: August 2008 |

I have just returned from a week at Club Med Turkoise.
The staff was excellent. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff. They were friendly, helpful, accommodating, and genuinely caring. The Chief of Sports (Gentil), to the sailing instructor (John), and even the employees of the boutique (notably Sarah) - I was extremely happy and actually sad to leave. The bar staff was also great!
Before my stay, I was slightly worried about the food and drinks included in my all-inclusive package. The drinks were perfect, and the food was amazing. You are going to want to order some chocolate bread to take home.
The room was nicely appointed, and a good size. It could use a decor update, but as a decorator I might just be nitpicking.
However, the bed was not very comfortable, and I found the water closet unappealing. I think it could be updated and tiled to match the lovely decor in the shower and sink room.
The closet space was ample, the view was lovely, and the maintenance and housekeeping staff were excellent. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous.
Also, I was very happy with all the activities that were available, and with the shows the staff put on. |

We had a terrible stay here. Visited: May 2008 |

The room was a little more than a little appalling. I will start at the entrance of the room, and work my way forward.
The door only had a push-in lock (like the one you find in a some bathrooms). There was no deadbolt, or even chain lock once you are inside the room. On the right was an old timey window that had three slits that opened and closed (not very well). Because of these antiquated windows, the room got fairly humid when it rained, and it didn’t stay too cool (this could also be the poor A/C unit).
One of our rooms had a broken A/C unit, but the front desk at Club Med Turks and Caicos stated it was not broken. On the window base was a blackish colored mold that was accented very well with the mold that was growing on the window treatments.
On the left was the commode that was in a little room by itself. There was no A/C, so you had to make it quick! It got hot, and because there was a widow that opened to the outside walkway, it was always nice to think that the people walking by are going to hear you as you go.
The next door on the left was the door to the sink and shower. The bathroom door didn’t close because it appeared that when they remolded it and added a little six-inch deep table, they forget to factor in the door actually closing.
Also, the shower kept changing from hot to cold the whole time. Setting it to cold, while not ideal, will at least keep at one temperature

This was my fourth (and final) time at Club Med Turks. It used to be a great place for fun, young, singles. I brought a friend with me - it was her first time - and was actually embarrassed about how much I had talked up how much fun we would have when we arrived.
The guests were much older - retirement and above - and overall most were couples. Afternoon pool volleyball with drinking was replaced by 70-year-old women moving your towel and book to another chair while you get up for five minutes.
While I have much respect for the elderly - this was not the Turks that kept me coming back for more. There were not that many singles in their 20s and 30s at all. Everything seemed slower and duller. |

Club Med Turkoise was awesome. The people, the food, and the whole atmosphere of the place was out of this world.
Being from the great white north (Canada), the only white we see here is snow. The beatiful white sand beach was breathtaking.
Also, the GOs were fantastic. Even the locals made us feel right at home.
I am looking out my window, and we received 30 cm of snow since last night. It's going to be a long long winter. I am going back next November for sure! |

Everything about this resort was wonderful. The food was great, and the staff was amazingly nice. I loved every bit of my vacation.
The rooms were beautiful, and so were the beach and the pool. What was also great about the resort was the fact that it was never over crowded at the pool or the beach.
My friends and I enjoyed ourselves so much, that we plan on coming back asap. This was truly paradise. I would recommend this resort to everyone! |

If you just want to have a great time and have a lot of fun, you will enjoy Club Med. I loved playing volleyball at the beach, and playing water polo in the pool.
It is not a new place, but I have found that a good vacation depends on the people. The many Canadians, New Yorkers, Swiss, Californians, etc. we met here were great. I hope to come back for a Club Med reunion this spring.
The diving is early, so don't pay until you know that you can leave the dancing early and not hung over. Some nights we danced until 1:30 am, or 3:00 am it was great. Enjoy your trip, and have a "Katie 2 drink" - it's a goodie. |

I came here for the first time for two weeks, and I was very impressed. If you are outgoing, love to meet new people, and want to try all the sports and excursions available, then definitely come here. I was a single woman on my own, and I never felt uncomfortable, even with the attention paid me by GOs and GMs alike.
The food was fantastic, and if people find the selection boring, I guess they need to stay at five-star resorts more often. I loved the food.
Turkoise was about having fun and getting out there and doing it. Hey, they taught me scuba and tennis, and helped me improve my French. Thanks to Eyal and Remy, Chefs de Village et Sports. |

Being my second time to Club Med in Turks, I found a change in atmosphere in that the party atmosphere I expereinced is now mostly a memory. Now you'll find a more upscale and gentler lifestyle. Gone are the unpredictability and fun we enjoyed in the past.
The property itself is fantastic, and the beach speaks for itself - incredible. Unfortunatley, the food has also declined to a bland and tasteless variety. |

This is the one and only place I want to be during all my holidays. And once again, Club Med gave me the time of my life.
I came back just one week ago, and during the past few days I've been missing Club Med so much. I miss doing the trapeze every day from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. I miss the "fantabulous" food that I would gorge myself with during meal times.
I also miss the powdery white sand that my feet would just sink into, the fun pool games that we'd play at noon, the funny shows that the GOs would put up at night at 9:30 pm, and playing pool at the disco area. I miss Club Med!
This was my fifth time going to Club Med, and I'm still missing it as much as I did when I went for it the first time.
Club Med is definitely a place you don't want to miss out on. Go have fun at Club Med! |

We're tired of Club Med. Visited: November 2004 |

This was our sixth Club Med visit, and I guess we are just tired of the same food (lunch and breakfast) and the same routine. I will say the beach and water were beautiful.
We went out to eat three of the seven nights we were here, and it was great to get away and eat by ourselves.
I had a problem with one of the GOs, and that did ruin the trip. The worse part was that no one seemed to care, not even the man in charge.
If you're new to Club Med, you will enjoy this place. I wonder if anyone else who has been to many Club Meds are also getting bored and tired of them. |

I just came back from my trip to Club Med and miss it more than I thought possible. My trip was one of the best trips I have taken.
Although the accommodations at Club Med were slightly lacking, they served their purpose. What I mean by that, is that the rooms had the bare minimum....no frills whatsoever.
The food was varied and decent. I am not a picky eater and was able to find something tasty each night, but my friends were not as flexible and had a tough time. When all else failed, that white chocolate bread rocked.
The GOs were one of my favorite parts of the trip. They went out of their way to get us involved and always made sure everyone was having a good time. My two favorites had to have been Sebest, the Animator and Brian, the water aerobics instructor. Sebest dressed up as various things from a cow, to the Turkacell Rabbit and a mosquito, and never stopped making me laugh.
Brian was - simply put - a delight to watch from afar. He didn't know it, but I had hours of entertainment just listening to the girls around the pool talk about how hot he was and watching them hang on him. It was most enjoyable. Poor guy ...life must be tough! At least he got me off my raft and exercising!
Crazy signs (coordinated dance routines you will learn) were lots of fun....everyone did them and we all made fools of ourselves....but we laughed the whole time. It was lots of fun.
One last thing I feel compelled to add is to bring bug spray. If you are prone to bites, buy the strongest OFF you can find. I got eaten alive by mosquitos with bug spray. It was not fun. All around though, it was a great trip that I would recommend to anyone.

My husband and I were at Club Med, and I want to add that we are in our early 40s. Even though the beach was beautiful and the water was clear and perfect, we just would not go again.
We found night time to be very boring - the only thing there was loud music. We also got tired of the same food. There were some things different, but it was mostly the same.
We are not "old" people and we like to have fun, but at night there was nothing to do after dinner. The shows were nice, but were over before 10:00 pm and we were not ready to sleep! So, we just sat on a chair by the beach after 10:00 to relax. But that was boring for seven nights!
All the reviews seemed to love the GOs, but we found a lot of them to be rude! At least we gave Club Med a chance. |

GOs seem to be very friendly! Visited: March 2004 |
| Posted by sam1 |

I visited Club Med Turkoise with a friend in March. This being my thirrd visit to the island, I decided to try a new resort. We are both in our late 20s, so I thought Club Med was a good spot for us.
The GOs were very friendly - very friendly if you get my drift. After the second day, we joked about how they have quotas to meet for hooking up with guests.
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not a prude, but it was annoying after the the fifth GO tried to pick me up. I was also not the most attractive girl there so I can only imagine what the beach beauties went through.
Attention is nice, but when you're trying to have a conversation with your friend and a stranger comes up behind you and places his hand on the small of your back and gives you a "How you doin?", it can get a little uncomfortable. It was just a little too blantent for my taste. That being said, here are the good points.
The food was excellent. Derek is one of the chefs, and I must say out of all the GO's I met, he was suprisingly refreshing. Everyone else seemed to "put it on" for the guests sake and he actually seemed like a genuinly nice guy.
Allesandro was the main chef I believe. He was also very nice. There was always a great spread for lunch. We didn't make breakfast too often but when we did, it was good. Choices ranged from healthy to clogged artery dishes - something for everyone.
We only had dinner at the resort one night. This was due to the seating arrangements. I don't mind dining with people I don't know once in a while if it's crowded, but 70% of the tables were empty and they would sit us with a bunch of people who didn't even speak our language.
My feeling is this - if I am paying for a vacation, I think I should be able to choose where I sit when I eat.
We went to various restaurants on the island. Anacona is a must. It was a five-minute walk on the beach and the food was incredible, as was the open air bar. The service was unparalleled and the setting was just beautiful. Of course, you get what you pay for, but it was worth every penny.
We also visitied Aqua Bar in Turtle Cove. This was also excellent and not as pricy as Anacona, but you need a cab to get there. Also, if you do order a cab from Club Med, do not use their services.
We decided one night to use Virgil's Taxi and tour. This was $8.00, as compared to Club Med's taxi of choice which was about $20.00 for the same distance. Do use Virgil. He was great and recommended another resort - the Royal West Indies. I stayed there in May. Also will post review for that.
If you are young and want to party, go to Club Med. If you like a choice, stay some place else.
The beach was to die for, though.

My visit to Club Med Turkoise was awesome. The variety of activities offered was great, everything from sailing or diving to the trapeeze.
The GOs made sure I had a great time and I have to say thank you to Al from New Jersey who taught me to sail.
The food was one of the best features, you have to try the white chocolate bread, their specialty!
It was such a great vacation I have already booked Club Med Cancun for 2004.

I went to Club Med to get away from the real world time and to go diving. I was suprised to find a resort that offered so many activities, shows and sports, followed by dancing the night away by the pool.
The beaches, ocean and GOs were awesome. And I have to say a special thanks to Al from NJ for adding to my stay and teaching me to sail.
If you want the holiday of a lifetime, Club Med Turkoise is the place to go, whether a single or a couple.
Thank you to everyone at Club Med! |

I went to get away from things for a week and wanted to try out something new and exciting.
If you want the best of both worlds, watersports and beautiful beaches during the day and partying with the GOs at night, this is definitely the place to go. There are things to do all day long, if you're a beach bum or a sports fanatic.
The GO team isn't quite as enthusiastic as last year, but they are all still so much fun - especially David and Ryan from the Scuba team. Thanks guys! |

My wife and I stayed at Club Med Turkoise and had a very enjoyable time.
The beaches were among the best in the world! The water was warm and clear, and the sand was smooth and almost white in color. This was a "beach person's" paradise. Diving and snorkeling were excellent as well.
The food at Club Med was very good with lots to choose from at extensive lunch and dinner buffets. There were numerous sports activities with specialized instruction, and evening entertainment that was most enjoyable.
Club Med was in a prime location in Turks and Caicos, being one of the first resorts to locate in the island. The accommodations were basic but very clean. The rooms could use some renovations to add to the overall comfort.
The sun in the summer can be very dangerous, so proper shade and sunscreen is essential. Club Med could provide more beach umbrellas to its guests. Overall, it was a great location for water, beach, diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. |
