Please write a review with as much detail as possible. Tell us about the amenities, facilities and staff.
My wife and I went down for our second honeymoon, and we loved it. It was fantastic.
The weather was a delight, as was the night life. The ocean was calming and blue - we loved it! Also, the food was enjoyable, and the hospitality was wonderful. The room was lovely.
It was a perfect getaway for two love birds!

I just came back from Ocean Club West. We enjoyed great food, and received great service. Our one-bedroom condo was spacious and clean.
There were lots of restaurants nearby. They weren't cheap, but food at all nine restaurants we dined in was great. There was also a nice selection of wine.
We also played golf, which was nice. In addition, the beach was beautiful and you could walk for hours. There was nobody around trying to sell things, either. There were little boutiques and shops nearby.
Construction was still ongoing, but roads and sidewalks were done.
We hope you enjoy a stay here as much as we did!

My wife and I spent 12 days at Ocean Club West and were very pleased with everything. Before I booked, we looked through the web sites and settled on OCW.
If you are looking for a place to sit around the gorgeous pool and relax - this is the place. The resort is condos, and it is quiet and clean. Our one-bedroom was amazing!
The beach was beautiful. The restaurants were some of the best we have been to in the Caribbean - Grecko Grille, Grace's Cottage, Parallel 23, and Anacoana. Just a note - take a long sleeved shirt for dinner outdoors at night.
The island is exploding with condo developments, and I am sure we won't recognize Provo when we return.

I was at Ocean Club the first week of April (Spring Break), but it was not overrun with kids. I am a teacher and like peace and quiet, which I got. I loved it here and would definitely go back.
The beach was just as everyone said it would be - beautiful. The Cabana Bar and Grill was right on the beach, so it was great to sit outside, relax, eat and enjoy the view of the beach and water. I met some wonderful people and made great friends. I can't wait to return - which I will do.

This was everything we were looking for. It was quiet, there were few kids, they served excellent food, there was a convenience store, and the resort provided friendly service.
We also had a gorgeous suite, and enjoyed a fabulous ocean. The water was picture perfect and it was a glorious beach for walks. There is really nothing more to say. We will see you here again!

Ocean Club West - package deal is a good value.Visited: October 2003

We stayed here for our honeymoon and took advantage of the related package. The resort was well maintained and the staff was friendly.
We had a top floor, one-bedroom oceanview unit, which was very spacious. The furnishings, kitchens and baths were clean and basic, if not a little sparse. The top level had vaulted ceilings.
The oversized screened balconies were the best part of the units, and we appreciated the screening after one night under the open sky. Never sit down to dinner without first loading on the bug spray.
This island is experiencing a great deal of growth, and that includes construction on a new complex right next door. We switched rooms after two days - the workers started at 6:30 am Monday - Saturday! Unless we closed up all of our windows and turned the a/c on, it was noisy - not just the construction, but in general (even closing our windows did not drown out the jackhammering). If you are staying here this winter and noise is a concern, stay at Ocean Club.
Car rental was not really worth it - except maybe for the first day to load up on groceries. A cab to the grocery store was $35. There really was not much to see beyond Grace Bay, and all of the excursions included transportation from the hotel. We saved our money for dinners out. Our favorite was Anacoana next door at Grace Bay Club.
If you like to snorkel, take a sunset cruise, offered by several local vendors out near Iguana Island. We also enjoyed a 45 minute walk along the beach to Whitehouse Reef, where we could snorkel right off the beach around a well marked reef.
Along our walks we did check out other properties (we are definitely coming back to Provo). If money is no object, stay at Point Grace. Ocean Club West was more condo-ish than resort-like, but it was hard to beat their package deals.

We stayed in a twobedroom condo for ten days with our three kids. It was clean, bright and big. Housekeeping even did our dishes!
The staff was friendly. It was great having the convenience store on site. We had a big screened in porch area. There was a full kitchen, combined with a trip to the grocery store made for relaxing breakfasts on the porch and kids favorite foods.
The restaurants were good, and the kids could get lunch whenever they wanted. Do try other restaurants on the island, though because all of them were great.
We loved the view from our room and the proximity to the beach. The beach was nice and quiet. We saw JoJo twice!

Don't waste your time with the other hotels. The Ocean Club West was fabulous - no comparison. It was really a lot newer than Ocean Club, and I found it more appealing.
It was very quiet, with an awesome swimming pool, and was a five-minute walk on the beach to the casino next door. We walked into every hotel we could access from the beach and felt we stayed in the best place.
The people were friendly, rooms were outstanding - with a great enclosed balcony (with an eating area, too), the food was so good, we didn't want to go anywhere else. We were also a quick walk to small shopping area.
We felt the package they provided was far better than any other - it even included a two-day rental car (if you stay seven nights). We were here for five nights, and our package included three breakfasts, lunches, dinners and drink coupons (and wine was included with dinner). So, we had plenty of extras! We didn't eat both breakfast and lunch every day, so we had more than enough food for five days.
A washer and dryer came with the room, so it was great going home with clean clothes! There were lots of perks - quiet, (not a lot of kids), peaceful and plenty of privacy.

All we had to do to see magnificent Grace Bay Beach in the morning was open our eyes. Our adequately spacious two-bedroom beachfront suite at Ocean Club West, with its three sides of sliding glass "walls" and screened in balcony was the epitome of indoor/outdoor living. The view and gentle breezes made sitting indoors almost as lovely as being on the beach.
With the exception of room service, this resort had every amenity you'd expect to find at a mega-resort without the fuss and hoopla...including a never-ending supply of beach towels and plenty of chairs and umbrellas.
This place was definitely about the beach...not the spa which occupied one tiny room attached to a rather grungy workout facility complete with two broken treadmills. It was also not a tennis club...although the two lighted courts with complementary balls kept our kids busy at night.
The Seaside Grill was a lovely place for lunch, and dinner was not bad either. But we did have better meals elsewhere. The staff really did aim to please. They will handle your car rental or your excursion, or they will just give you whatever information you seek to make your own plans.
This was a happy, laid back, family place on a beach that will knock your eyes out and soothe your soul. Postcard-worthy nightly sunsets were free - and the only thing on the island that is. Don't forget to bring your wallet.
In spite of a housekeeper with an attitude, we would love a chance to return to reclaim our little piece of paradise.

This was definitely the best hotel on one of the best islands. I've been to Antigua, Dominican Republic, Cancun, Bahamas, Aruba, Jamaica, Bermuda, and Barbados, so I have had a lot of experience to make an informed judgement.
Athough it did not have a bustling town like some of the others, it was a fabulous one. There were lots of water sports and great great scuba diving and snorkling! The people on this island were the nicest of any of the islands I've ever been to! Everyone, from the staff at this hotel to the airport clerks, were amazingly nice! The lady at the dive shop at the ocean club west let us use anything we wanted for free--she was the sweetest lady!
Whether you stay at the Ocean Club or the Ocean Club West doesn't really make a difference because they were exactly the same. There were more water sport facilities by the Ocean Club, but the Ocean Club West was just a 10- to 15-minute walk down the beach.
I stayed in a two-bedroom suite which was nicer than the descriptions of it on their website. The bathrooms were large with very good showers. The air conditioning was very good and there were absolutely no bugs or mildew like one might expect at a hot and humid place. The only disappointment was that there was no elevator and we were on the top floor (the third). But it didn't really matter, the staff was so nice, they shlepped all of our luggage up to our room.
When we first checked in, we were short one blanket, so we called the front desk and five minutes later they were at our door with two extra blankets. Maid service was great and there was never a shortage of towels or toiletries.
The food at the Ocean Club west wasn't too great, but Ocean Club's Gecko Grill had the best food on the island. Also, the hotel right next to the Ocean Club had a really great restaurant called Anaconda! I definitely recommend going to those two restaurants while you are here whether you stay at Ocean Club Resort or not!
When booking this trip, we tried to get a room at Beaches because our friends were staying there, but they were sold out. I'm so glad they were. I spent a day there and the food at all the restaurants was horrible (which was not a good thing at an all-inclusive resort). They had many pools, but they were all over-crowded, as was the beach.
The Ocean Club was probably the best hotel on the island. Take my advice and stay here! It was fabulous!

Ocean Club is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach!Visited: March 2002

I stayed at Ocean Club with my boyfriend last spring, and had a wonderful time. The resort was unpretentious and somewhat low-key, but had everything we needed. We were on a budget, and Ocean Club made staying within a budget easy.
The resort lined Grace Bay, which was an unbelievablly beautiful beach. If you like walking on the beach, this beach is the one to visit! But if you need to rest your feet, both Ocean Club and Ocean Club West had plenty of confortable lounge chairs and umbrellas, unlike at some other resorts. They both had great pools as well.
The rooms were clean and spacious, not to mention perfect if you like to cook - having a small kitchen and a dining table on the wonderful screened-in porch meant we could prepare our own meals when we didn't feel like eating at yet another restaurant.
All in all, I found Ocean Club Resort to be absolutely perfect if you're looking to stay at the best place possible for a low(er) price.

Ocean Club Resort was a wonderful destination for our family vacation. It had a casual, relaxed atmosphere, while providing excellent service. Provo was just further enough south than the Bahamas to be warmer during the "cold months".
The on-site restaurants were superb (breakfast by the ocean!), amenities were good (could have done with a better/bigger workout and spa area), and the rooms (condos) were excellent. Try a package and you will be pleased. There was great snorkeling close by, but not on-site...explore the island!
Try it, you'll like it! While you're here, have a rum punch for me!

We spent a week at the Ocean Club Resort and found everything to be top notch.
The Junior Suite was perfect for our needs and well equipped. How can you beat a tropical view of the beach?
The restaurants were great and convenient. Everyone at the Club went out of their way to make our week a pleasure.

Not bad, but definitely not a luxury resort!Visited: May 2000

We stayed here for a week in May. Rooms were nice and clean but the screened balconies ruin whatever view you might have. It was impossible to get bellmen to come and help you with luggage, etc. and airport transfers were very sloppy. Staff in the restaurants were very efficient but the menu was not vegetarian friendly (if you are one).
Overall, it was alright but the place should not masquerade as a luxury resort. We saw several other places on Grace Bay that were a lot nicer for roughly the same price.

I am looking forward to my yearly trek to the Ocean Club. The accommodations, grounds, restaurants, and everything is superb. The staff is friendly and very helpful. My husband and I look forward to returning in February 2000. I can't say enough good things about the Ocean Club and the island of Providenciales.

Ocean Club is a beautiful resort. The rooms are spotless and the staff diligent in keeping you happy. I broke a zipper on a pair of shorts, and our maid whisked them away and brought them back that afternoon, perfectly sewn, and she refused to accept any money for it. (It turned up in the tip we left at the end of our stay.)
The beach is picture-perfect, with sand that feels like talcum powder under your feet, but if you love snorkeling, as we do, you will be disappointed. We had to drive down to the White House beach in order to find anything worth looking at. (Scuba diving, however, was stupendous.)
We found the food at the resort's restaurant beat any other we visited on the island. All in all, a great place.
