I have just returned from another stay at Coral Gardens, on Grace Bay, Providenciales. It was perfect, just like my other visits. I now feel like part of a family as all the staff greet me and make me feel comfortable once more.
It is such a unique place, which caters for lone travelers like me, young families, honeymooners and more mature couples, too. Its position close to the beach allows you to either sunbathe, snorkel or dive on the lovely coral reef right out front, or just relax on your ocean front balcony as I do.
You can also eat at their 'Beach Cafe', which is literally feet from the beach and have a treatment at their in house spa! I can't wait for my next visit, which will be in three months time. Yes, I'm addicted to the place!

Everything about this resort was wonderful. The snorkeling was unbelievable, and the room we stayed in was the best we have ever seen or stayed in.

Coral Gardens has a beautiful beach, but terrible management.Visited: October 2005

My wife and I came here for a relaxing vacation. Grace Bay was the most beautiful beach we have seen.
The staff here was good, but the management was lacking in many areas. They repeatedly appeared to not care about the comfort or safety of the guest. we felt this was to the point of rudness. We thought it was almost a mocking attitude of "I don't care".
When the electricity went out for the better part of three days, the guests had no air, water, light, or means to flush the toilet. The management would not provide even a candle until the third day after repeated requests.
The water on the floors in the room was three inches deep. It was dangerous in the dark. When a couple asked for a bottle of water for their baby, the manager was so cheap he charged it to their room.

Our stay at Coral Gardens was excellent.Visited: July 2005

My family rented two condos, a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom, for two weeks this July. We loved the view, the beach, and found everyone connected with the resort to be very helpful.
It was relaxed, informal, and low-key but elegant. The condos were spacious and all had an ocean view. The beach was absolutely beautiful, and was uncrowded during our visit.
Our only complaint was that management needs to be more careful about monitoring the inventory in the kitchens of the units. We had only one knife that was sharp enough to cut, and it had a blade only two inches long!
We loved staying here and look forward to returning.

We experienced a low-key vacation at Coral Gardens.Visited: January 2005

My wife, son and I just returned from Coral Gardens after seven nights. We enjoyed our visit, but in the spirit of constructive criticism, let me tell you what you might expect.
First, what we liked: it was a very clean and well-groomed property. We came right after the Christmas/New Year's vacation week, and it was quiet. We had no trouble finding lounges at the pool or beach. Our room was spacious, and with an infant with us, having a full kitchen was enormously helpful.
Second, the restaurants on the premises were both excellent. Coyaba had to be one of the best restaurants on the entire island, though it was not cheap.
Third, it was only ten minutes from the airport, which made it convenient when we arrived and departed.
Fourth, the beach was just amazing, with a terrific snorkeling area right off the shore.
Here's where there are some areas for improvement:
First, property management: Coral Gardens was odd in that it did not have a real check-in desk for guests. There was a corner of the restaurant where staff congregated, and that's where business was transacted. My wife and I found it sort of weird and oddly informal.
Second, the staff was inconsistent in their attention to the guests, and I attributed that to the management. There were moments when the staff was over-attentive, such as when we told the manager in person that we were having a problem with the A/C and they sent a team to our room right away.
But when we'd called the front desk the day before to report the problem, no one came to check it out. At check-out, I needed change of a $20. There was one person who had access to the vault, and he was gone, so I was out of luck. In a luxury hotel, how can only one person make change?
I guess the oddness was that we didn't really know whom to talk with in order to get things done. But that was counterbalanced for us by Bentley in the dive shop, who heard that we'd left our camera on a van (that took us for a boat ride), found us to tell us, and generously went out of his way to pick it up for us.
Third, there were too few times when the management invited guests to socialize as a group. They provided drinks and snacks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, but it wasn't particularly well advertised in advance to us, yet I found it one of the most delightful moments of the entire week. I would like to have had something of that sort once a day, where we could have chosen to attend or not attend.
Management was more focused on selling their "Fractional Residence" program than in focusing solely on their short-term rental guests.
The owners need to visit this property as guests, and see firsthand how to turn it from four stars into five.

This was a relaxing holiday with excellent food.Visited: June 2004

I was looking for a quiet, relaxing week-long holiday in early June, and I found it at Coral Gardens Resort, on Grace Bay.
My oceanfront suite was very comfortable, it had a large balcony, which I could sit and relax on reading for most of the day, or I could just look at the ocean if I wanted to.
The staff was friendly and very helpful. I ate all my meals in the relaxed atmosphere of the 'Beach Cafe', which was only a few feet from the beach. I could have gone to the more formal restaurant 'Coyaba' for dinner (which has a great reputation), but I preferred to have my evening meals at the 'Beach Cafe', where the food was excellent. The 'Five Course Dinner' on the beach is an experience not to be missed.
I would recommend Coral Gardens Resort to anybody, and I will certainly return myself.

We had a beautiful two-bedroom villa that looked brand new. It was very quiet during our stay.
They served great food at the beach bar. The beach and ocean seemd to go on forever. It was exactly what we were looking for in a vacation.
I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing vacation and loves to snorkel and scuba dive. And the resort staff went out of their way to assist us with anything that we needed. Matthew was awesome!

We spent nine days at Coral Gardens. It was fantastic. We had a one-bedroom unit with a fully equipped kitchen, living area and powder room on one level and a bedroom and master bath on second level.
There was a huge balcony with the most fantastic view of the beach. Grace Bay Beach was the best on the island, and there was a huge coral reef right off the beach for spectacular snorkeling.
The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. The on-site restaurant, Coyaba, was also very good - a little pricy (as was everything else on the island). Also, renting a car was a must here. We'll definitely return.

I would go back to Coral Gardens with my family again.
The room we stayed in had the most beautiful view of the beach. The restaurant, Coyaba, had great food; even my son, the picky eater, liked their seafood and lambchop dishes.
The staff was very friendly, especially the staff members from the activity desk. One of them personally took my son and me out to snorkel right off the beach in front of the resort and told us the names of every fish. It was a wonderful place to snorkel.
We rented a car for two days, which was very helpful. We went to the supermarket several times and explored other restaurants besides Coyaba - Caicos Cafe was also a very good restaurant.
One thing that I would like to warn you is that there was an instructional error in the resort manual in calling back to US with toll free numbers. I ended up paying $10 phone bill for nothing. They charge you just for dialing even if you did not get any connections. I suggested to the front desk staff to update their manuals in the rooms. Hopefully, they will do it soon.

Nice, but not worth the price.Visited: March 2001

We stayed at the Coral Gardens, after fleeing the construction going on at another resort. We had a One-bedroom Luxury Grand, which faced the sea and the pool. Unfortunately, it was on the ground floor, which was not very private. The apartment was huge with a kitchen, laundry room, walk-in wardrobe, two bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows. My only gripe about the accommodations was that we had a huge bathtub, but the hot water tank was too small to fill it!
The staff was very friendly and this resort was at the quiet end of Grace Bay, so you can go for long walks along the beach and not see any other resorts.
I felt that for the money (around $500 a night) there was not very good service. They offered none of the normal amenities you would expect for this price. There was virtually no room service, a very poor beach bar/restaurant (serving only microwave pizzas and burgers), nowhere to get breakfast, two small pools and a mediocre evening restaurant, The Coyaba. This restaurant tried hard, but the food was a complete mish-mash of flavors. I tried the lamb and the pork and both were very dry.
In summary, the Coral Gardens was a very up-market, self-catering resort with very limited amenities.

We stayed in the main house villa during Christmas vacation. We have been to many Caribbean islands and found this one just right. Coral Gardens is centrally located, but not in a busy section at all. Walking down the beach was great. One way was peaceful and quiet with private homes; the other way brings you past resorts and beach-front restaurants.
We traveled with our two sons, 21 and 18. They loved it! There's enough nightlife (away from the Coral Gardens), but not too far away. It's very safe, and after dinner either cooking in or dining out, the boys would venture out to the local pubs/bars without any problems. Getting a taxi back from one to three miles away usually costs US$5.00.
The accommodations were top-flight ... really quite awesome. The grounds were very nice and the beach was fantastic. Plenty of new beach lounges for everyone, and some of the best snorkeling we ever had, right in front of the Coral Gardens! Quiet, on the beach, with only an occasional small boat with a few snorkelers coming in, because the best snorkeling on the island was right here!
Cable TV keeps you connected to the world ... if you want to be. It was great watching CNN weather for the U.S. (snow & cold) while sipping a margarita before going to dinner! Makes you really appreciate where you are!
New Year's Eve was a fun experience to have in the Carribean. We followed our "experienced" guides (two sons) to a couple of their favorite night-spots.
At one of the marinas, you can rent power-boats to take a day out on the water and visit some of the nearby cays. Well worth it. Bring plenty to eat and drink and have a good time!
We highly recommend the Coral Gardens and would go back without hesitation! A good place to stay for couples and families with older children.

We found Coral Gardens to be the perfect relaxing getaway. We stayed in one of the "garden view" rooms and it was very nice especially for the price. The bathroom was spacious and the room included a mini-fridge and safe. They had a complimentary breakfast every morning served in the open-air dining area that is surrounded by gardens.
We rented a jeep for a few days and I recommend doing this. The beach in front of Coral Gardens has some of the best snorkeling on the island. This is both an advantage and a disadvantage because it can get quite busy during the afternoon.
The staff at Coral Gardens were extremely helpful, very accommodating and friendly. We would return to this hotel given the chance.
