Harbour Villas was perfect for my two boys and me since our primary mission was diving. All of the operators tie up in the Harbour located just steps away. We were able to line up dives right on the dock each day.

We had lots of comfortable space in our villa. We felt that we were the personal guests of Marta and Barry. They went out of their way to make our visit memorable.

We decided to stay here based on all the great reviews - and they were spot on.

Our hosts were very friendly, welcoming, giving and informative.
We enjoyed the locals' beaches, and felt they were private, just for us. Even the restaurant recommendations were great.

Thanks for all the tips, Marta and Barry. You guys made us feel like we were in our away from home.

We stayed at the Harbour Club with two other couples in October. It'was tucked between a salt water pond and a marina. Every morning the guys walked down to the flats to fish. It was much more fun than staying at a large commercial resort.

The pool was absolutely lovely, and we spent lots of time hanging out at the adjacent covered patio grilling steaks and playing card games!

The units were very comfortable and well equipped. Our hosts, Barry and Marta, were a wealth of information and provided us with lots of suggestions for beaching and dining. We would certainly go back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the villas. It was easy to get around.
If it's diving you're interested in, go see Jayne and Mickey at Flamingo Divers - walking distance from the villa - honestly.

Barry and Marta were excellent hosts, and gave us the best dining recommendations on the island. We went with two other couples, so the side by side villas were fun. We recommend it highly.

5.0 stars Here you will enjoy perfect, personal, private villas in Provo! Visited: April 2006

We stayed at Harbour Club Villas for a week in April, and could not have asked for any more of a wonderful stay - mostly thanks to our gracious hosts, Barry and Marta.

The villas were spacious, and more quiet than the "tourist" strip of Grace Bay, but close enough to enjoy. The property was set between a lake, which we enjoyed watching the sun rise over, and a cove, that is great to walk to.

Marta and Barry were kind enough to share with us the little secrets of the island, such as the drive out to Northwest point, and the amazing tranquility of the secluded beaches to the east.

Here was where we headed for the most perfect sunset wedding ceremony. We checked out several other spots on the island, but truely cherished the one Marta recommended the most. Thanks!

This was an unbelievable trip - the wedding we dreamed of having, and the perfect spot to stay.

5.0 stars It was a great place to relax and fish! Visited: April 2006
Posted by anglingsolutions
This was our first visit to Turks and Caicos (and first stay at Harbor Club Villas).

We've stayed in many 'self-catering' villas around the world, and these have to be the best. Villa owners, Barry and Marta, were exceptional in their attention to detail (including fresh flowers in the villa, ample supply of good quality towels and linens, a full range of cooking utensils and matching crockery - a first!).

Also, their willingness to help with any needs (such as an umbrella for the beach or an extra cooler) or questions (best restaurants and other information) was impressive. The villas were comfortable, spacious and well laid out.

While I enjoy fishing, my wife looks forward to relaxing with a good book. We managed both easily and then enjoyed relaxing dinners out (Marta will even make recommendations and reservations for you) or used the BBQ to rustle up our own.

Bonefishing in Turks and Caicos was excellent.

Directly in front of the villas was Flamingo Lake with plenty of opportunities for the stealthy wade fisherman on the incoming tide. With a pair of binoculars, you can see tailing fish from the villas and plan your approach. Schools of 20-50 fish - plus some big singles - roam these flats but can get spooky if you march all over the place!

Barry and Marta will also direct you to other Provo bonefish 'hot' spots or can recommend local guides if you want to go further afield.

In addition, check with Barry and Marta regarding advice on rental vehicles - not all operators offer 'reliable' vehicles. We made the mistake of using Renta Buggy - a clapped out mini jeep that broke down on the final day on our way to the airport.

Many of the side roads were rough and dusty - forget open vehicles unless you enjoy being covered in dust. Also, make sure the spare tire, jack, etc. are servicable.

Harbor Club Villas was the best!

5.0 stars Harbour Club was a private, quiet place to unwind. Visited: May 2005
Posted by yvon358
Harbour Club was not amongst the "famous and popular" resorts of Grace Bay. But we were in a place of total relaxation, peace and tranquillity. And that was why we were here.

Here we were surrounded by beautiful gardens, a pool complete with its own tiki hut, and a private verandah and our own villa. This was a private, quiet place to unwind. It was a nice place to experience things not offered at home.

In addition, literally, at our beck and call, two of the kindest individuals to ever run a resort. They were not pretentious or stuffy, Barry and Marta immediately made us feel welcome. Honestly, if we needed them to bend over backward, they’d probably give it a try. From the fresh flowers on the table every day to sharing their knowledge of the island, these two left a lasting impression.

We didn’t meet the "owners of the resort". We met two new friends. They invited us into their home and made us feel like family. That is a rarity in life. Well, enough about the resort, hopefully, you’ll soon see for yourselves.

Turks and Caicos Islands consistently rank high on the list of world class dive destinations. We now know why. This was our first time here and hopefully won’t be our last.

On our hosts’ recommendation, we went with Flamingo Divers. Flamingo Divers might not have had the newest, shiniest boats, but they offered so much more.

Lynn, Wayne and Carol had enough knowledge of diving and the surrounding waters they could make their own documentary. They offered personalized service with safety at the top of the list. Their genuine care for the underwater environment was evident. They were the type of divers who maximized our experience while making certain we were truly cared for. When they chose a site, they considered all factors - visibility, current, winds, skill level, and most of all, crowds - or lack thereof, rather.

And we were never pressured. We were able to go at our own pace, and our numerous questions were always answered with patience. Plus, they did everything but breathe for us. They were very accommodating.

The reef life was spectacular, the walls were beautiful. We saw everything from flying gurnards to several reef sharks. Eagle rays, turtles, jacks, spades, grouper were all in abundance. So many dives you "might-maybe-sort of" catch a glimpse of a larger animal. Here, they were common. We saw all this in only six dives - four dives off West Caicos and two off French Cay. All were outstanding. And, the fish seemed less shy.

Maybe it was just our imagination, but after floating perfectly still for several seconds, even the most timid of creatures, a turtle, decided to investigate "up close and personal". It was truly humbling.

This place was so special. We must have stumbled upon a bit of heaven.

4.0 stars We were thrilled to find a family-oriented villa at the Harbour Club. Visited: May 2005
Posted by steepanddeep
This was our first trip to Turks and Caicos. We enjoyed it very much.

We very much enjoyed Harbour Club Villas. The villa was great. We enjoyed the pool, BBQ grill, birds and the Marina.

Paul and I also did three days of diving with Flamingo….what a great staff. We definitely appreciated the small group atmosphere and experience offered by Flamingo - plus a willingness to show us some of the best diving in the area. A highlight was Taylor Bay Beach. The shallow water, lack of crowds and beautiful sunset were wonderful.

After long research showing us limited family accommodations here on Provo (except all-inclusive-eat-our-food-onlys), we were thrilled to find such a nice villa for us to stay at. Once we were here, it only got better.

Our children, Anika (2 ½) and Solomon (9 months), had a blast, and the not-so-young kids (us) enjoyed all of it. Our rental car took us from shore to shore, beach to beach and bumpy road to bumpy road. We loved our stay and even the rains!

Thanks for sharing your Provo island and reefs with us. We would love to come and visit again. The grounds and villas were lovely. They did great work here. We really put some mileage on their barbecue….snapper, ribs, chicken, veggies….what a plus for the Rocky Mountain folks. Next time, we will enjoy grouper and sea bass.

4.0 stars We enjoyed the fresh flowers daily and the friendly chats. Visited: May 2005

We loved and enjoyed our stay here at Harbour Club Villas.
The villa was comfortable and came with a warm feeling from Marta’s and Barry’s presence…the fresh flowers, the tidiness and all of their friendly chats! Thanks Marta, for sharing with me all of your lovely plants and flowers.

My favorite parts of the trip were: South West part (giant starfish and the pirate's cove); Coral Gardens (snorkeling – turtles); and Bugaloo’s for cracked conch….we all preferred the cracked conch to the fritters.

The guys bonefished every day. Once the tides were figured out, they did all right spotting the bonefish (catching them in the wind was another story). But they still caught a few (and one big one!).

They also went out with a guide (whom they wouldn’t recommend). But these guys are avid fishermen and can compare to some really great guides in other parts of the world. Here, they at least got to experience some other flats.

Last time we were here was 14 years ago and there has been much growth since then. It was evidenced certainly through all of the building going on and also during our excursion to Delli's Cay with Big Blue (very nice ½ day private charter – the staff was lovely). And there were many people even on Delli's Cay “shelling”.

We spent our first anniversary on Provo. Yes, it was idyllic that long ago. The beaches were deserted, and people stayed at the pool, I remember, and didn't even go on to the beach. So we were often the only ones there the beginning of May.

It was too bad we didn't see the "same" Provo, but we were excited to see the crystal clear water again - and the bonefish.

Driving on such challenging roads and on the left (different if you’re from the states) was lots of fun once we got the hang of it. The potcakes were friendly, and the fez cacti (Turks Head) were neat! We hope to return and explore more of the island.

5.0 stars It was another week in paradise, and it was amazing! Visited: March 2005

Well, it’s hard to believe another week in paradise has come to an end. We have had such an amazing time here on Provo again! And Harbour Club Villas has once again provided us with a great relaxing and fun “home base”.

Daily activities included trips to the beaches (Bonefish Point was a highlight!). Chasing bonefish, snapper, grouper and barracuda in the flats and canals was always fun and productive.

Dinners at Baci’s were delicious and another highlight.

If you are reading this and thinking about going fishing, do yourself a service and contact a guide, make a reservation and they will show you the fish. (Four bones on day #1, nine on day #2 with plenty of opportunities.)

A special thanks to our friends Barry and Marta for welcoming us with open arms, and for making our vacation as special as it was. See you again shortly!

5.0 stars This was one of our best dive trips. Visited: March 2005

We enjoyed our seven nights here tremendously! The villas were wonderful. We felt very comfortable here and loved the accommodations. We are already talking about coming back again soon!

We pretty much did scuba diving this whole trip. Marta was such a gem. She helped set up the dives and got us hooked up. We dove with Flamingo Divers. They were very professional and very personable and nice. We found them to be helpful and informative. We dove with Mickey and Jayne all week, fabulous people! They made sure we had good dives.

We went to French Cay….Rock ‘n’Roll and Half Mile Reef. West Caicos….Boat Cove, Driveway, the Gully and Boat Cove again. And the Sandborne Channel….Razors Drop Off and Razor’s Edge. We saw turtles, sting rays, eagle rays, flying gurnards, spotted moray, spotted drums, basket starfish, trunkfish, balloon fish, spiney lobster, tons and tons more fish and corals and sponges! The walls were spectacular.

We drove around the island and mostly ate at the villas, but tried Tiki Hut, Hemmingway's and Magnolia’s. All had great food and atmosphere.

Marta and Barry made us feel at home the minute we got here. They were excellent hosts. They had nice ideas and were very informative. Marta had all the special touches. Every day we came back, we had subtle, beautiful touches like fresh new flowers in the
conch shell and in the martini glass. Also, Marta had some excellent fish and coral books we borrowed. We had dolphins follow the boat one day and we saw whales!

Anyone who asks about “TCI” will be sent to Harbour Club from us! It was one of our most enjoyable dive trips.

5.0 stars This was a haven on one of the most beautiful places in the world! Visited: January 2005

What a wonderful place to spend a holiday. Harbour Club Villas was a haven on one of the most beautiful places in the world. Being in Provo was like taking all the good parts of any destination and combining them.

Also, spending time with Barry and Marta made the trip extra special. They were always there for a visit, tips and some really great evenings drinking beer and laughing.

Our wedding plans are starting to unfold, and after much discussions and thoughts, we have decided to return to our little heaven in Turks and Caicos to get married. We felt that getting married here would be what our hearts really want.

It was sure a pleasure to feel so welcomed by such great people. Thank you for everything... we can't wait to "begin" our lives together in July with great friends like we found at Harbour Club Villas.

4.0 stars We had a relaxing time at Harbour Club Villas Visited: December 2004

What a wonderfully relaxing time we had here with Marta and Barry. They were such great hosts we felt like we were staying with old friends. They were both pleasant and helpful.

Vernon and I borrowed their kayaks the first full day and paddled out 1 ½ miles to one of the five cays. It was great being the only ones out there along with the iguanas.

The next day we went scuba diving with Flamingo Divers and were one of two couples on board. We dove the French Cay walls and it was some of the best diving ever.

The water was so beautiful here! We went to Marta’s “secret beach” which was so very pleasant with no one there but us. The weather was windy for the last part of our stay, but we enjoyed all of it. We were feeling somewhat ready for the “real world” again.

We were able to relax on this trip and we are so greatful for that. The island is not really developed for much activity beyond watersports, drinking and relaxing, but that was what we were looking for. We enjoyed our stay and just relaxed.

5.0 stars This must be the best kept secret in Turks and Caicos. Visited: August 2004

Spending time here at Harbour Club has been one of the most incredible times we’ve shared in any destination. We have been all over…Australia, Hawaii, Barbados, Aruba, Brazil, Bahamas, Mexico etc. None of these destinations has come close to Provo.

The beauty, the people, the weather….all make this place heaven. Harbour Club is the best kept secret. Tucked away on a dirt road that gives the largest SUVs a test. This secluded haven is a must for anyone looking to relax.

Barry and Marta are the key to this heaven on earth. A large part of the charm was running into local people who knew them (from Jody the Snuba lady on Grace Bay to a friendly man in the checkout line at the IGA grocery store).

Many people knew Barry and Marta and gave us high praise for choosing a great place to stay while in Provo. I hope all future guests get to enjoy this place and its location the way we have.

Our much needed holiday was well spent diving, snorkeling, seeing the island, just relaxing at the pool and laughing with the other guests about Curt’s fashionable, co-ordinated fish outfit.
Barry and Marta are extremely gracious and generous. They pointed out places
to eat and things to see and were helpful in every way. Love the fresh flowers in the villa every day
and chats near the pool or at Lover’s Lookout – have Barry point out the built-in bottle opener.
You must tour the island and everyone on Provo is very friendly. Curtis, my husband, is an avid diver and I love to snorkel. Marta and Barry turned us onto Flamingo Divers. They’re
wonderful dive operators. Curtis dove 5 days and I rode along for 2 to snorkel. His first day they had nearly 20 dolphins playing near the
boat. Curtis said all the dive sites were fantastic. Great times and beautiful waters. Harbour Club is cozy, friendly and well kept – a large part of making our time here so peaceful. So go explore, meet new friends and see beautiful sights. We had a blast this time and look forward to our next visit.

This is the second time we have been here with Marta and Barry. The first time was three years ago for two weeks. This time it was for three weeks to share their paradise with them. It was as good this time as it was the first time, just as good hosts and just as good company.

The sun was fantastic, only one dull day is not bad. Rod enjoyed his fishing. He was in the lake most of his time and caught lots of bonefish.

We also enjoyed horse riding on the beach and golf. The golf course was fabulous.

We have been to a lot of places, and we have to mention this is number one for the change of bed sheets, towels etc. So often that it made us feel great with clean sheets. The flowers in the villa smelled great.

We have so many wonderful memories to take away with us. Rod didn’t catch his marlin this time…bless him! He went out to try three times. Marta and Barry will always be remembered as friends to us and one day we may meet again.

You must tour the island. Chalk Sound is breathtaking, a shame it doesn’t have more public access points. In Five Cays, keep your eyes open for Liz’s, a tiny grocery and bakery. They had fantastic baked goods and absolutely delicious pastries (“patties”).

Also, Wednesday night ribs at Tiki Hut were great. Shark Bite was good, and don’t forget to go down the road a bit for inexpensive and good icecream at Sweets & Treats. Our best night was at the grill near the pool-everyone staying here cooked. We had many laughs with the guests and with Barry and Marta.

Curtis loved the diving, and Flamingo Divers were first class! We also took two easy snorkel trips at Coral Gardens. We saw sea turtles, lots of fish and a big pincushion starfish.

Harbour Club was cozy, friendly and well kept – a large part of making our time here so peaceful. So go explore, meet new friends and see beautiful sights. We had a blast this time and look forward to our next visit.

5.0 stars Harbour Club is away from the hustle and bustle. Visited: April 2004
Posted by bstone
Our lodging at Harbour Club Villas was excellent. It was nice this trip to be away from the hustle and bustle of Grace Bay.

The villas were a great place to relax and get away from it all. Barry and Marta were both very gracious hosts. Between the use of the phone to arrange taxis to baking a pizza for us, what more could a guest ask for?

The villas were very clean and comfortable. The flowers and landscaping were very nicely kept. And did I mention bonefishing? Where else can you go and catch bonefish practically outside your villas front door?

If the weather had been better, I would have liked to explore more of the area, especially with the sea kayaks. There were lots and lots of opportunities to catch lots of different types of fish.

We hope to return in the near future. I would definitely recommend Harbour Club Villas to our friends.

5.0 stars The villa fit us to a tee! Visited: February 2004

Coming to Turks and Caicos from North Alberta where the temperature had dipped to minus 48C the week before was pure heaven.

Our goal was to seek the sun and to completely relax - with no work and best of all, no phones. The villa fit us to a tee,
and the small privacy of the pool could not have been better.

We spent an evening having BBQs, weiner and beans on Barry and Marta’s hilltop with a fire and some of their friends under a star filled sky. The company was delightful and felt like summer at home. We did come to relax and oh, how we did!

I know it will be a holiday to remember with awesome memories! We were warmly greeted by Marta and Barry and must say they were wonderful hosts with lots of information. Ye,s we spent good times with them talking and having fun meeting with their friends.

John and I needed a laid back holiday and most of our
days were spent relaxing by the pool, soaking up the wonderful sunshine, swimming and enjoying our villa which was so comfortable.

The villas were just what we saw on the internet plus more. Once we spent a little time here, it was like home away from home. I could get used to this! It was my birthday here as well, and surprise to me, Marta and Barry came out singing me birthday wishes with a gift of special memories of the island. It was so very nice of them! I had the best birthday ever, here!

We did tour the island, ate out a number of times and found the people and the island truly wonderful. We can’t wait to return again soon.
