I have travelled all over the Caribbean and stayed at many 4 & 5 star resorts that put this place to shame. The property is antiquiated and is in need of a major renovation. Everything about this place is spartan at best. The grounds are clean but unnattractive lacking any type of landscaping that resembles a tropical resort. They could take a lesson by visiting any Iberostar or Occidental property just to name a few. The "GO's" were freindly enough but the "locals" who worked at the resort were downright rude. The Beach lacked shady spots only having 10 palapas available for shade!!!! The food was very good although dining roon service was lacking. Perhaps the worst part about my stay was that at some point after removing my valubles from the room safe and checking out, about an hours time that my bags were out of my site, someone apparently entered my room and relieved me of $450. I also had left a pair of swim trunks in the room and was told that the maid did not find them there upon cleaning the room!!!!! OMG they will even steal your swim trunks!!!! This place uses the old style "key" for room entry and not a magnetic card so ANYONE who works there could possibly have a key and access to your room at any time while you are not in your room. When I called to report the missing money and swim trunks I was not allowed to talk to "Max" the manager and it took the resort 24 hours to call me back reporting that they had "interviewed" the housekeeper.... In summary the great beach and food alone do not a resort make! Dont waste your time or money at this one!

My wife and I, and two dear friends just returned from staying five nights at Coral Gardens. We enjoyed it so much. We stayed in a two-bedroom Grand Ocean Suite that was fantastic. When you open up those glass doors that make up the wall looking out to the ocean, it is just breathtaking. Of course, we were there mainly to be on the beach and we did not have to go far as it was just right 20 yards or so away. The beach was fantastic, the water was perfect, and the snorkeling was awesome. Best of all, it was all right in front of our hotel. It felt private and away from all the gigantic, massive resorts not too far away. There were only a couple of downsides. First, the restaurants were all closed for some reason that we could never quite ascertain. All the other restaurants on the island were open, so it could not have been a seasonal thing. However, there was wonderful food was close by. We actually brought a lot of our own food, so we had breakfast and lunch in the room. We also brought plenty of snacks (both food and drink) that we could take down to the beach and enjoy. The other thing was that there was a hotel or condo half built right next door that had been abandoned. It was very ugly. We were so glad we did not have a view of that from our room. However, you could see it from the beach and from the ocean. It really was an eyesore. It needs to be torn down, as it looks like it won't ever be finished. Otherwise, it was just an awesome experience. We look forward to going back as soon as possible.

The staff was friendly, and the resort was beautiful. Visited: August 2009 |

I was here Labor Day weekend. It was a very quiet time on the island. The resort and the staff were wonderful. Despite it being off-season and worrying about tropical storm erica, the weather was just as wonderful. The resort does not have five-star dining (I understand the main building is to be built), but what they have is lovely. You don't pay top dollar, but have a top dollar location--largest stretch of beach and walking distance to great restaurants.

My husband and I had our first visit to Turks and Caicos, and found Harbour Club Villas to be an excellent place to stay. Our week with Marta and Barry could not have been better. They have six villas on a beautiful hillside overlooking a lake with the marina just behind the villas. The villa was clean and had everything we needed - big fluffy towels, kitchen with all necessary items and loads of books to choose from when we wanted to kick back. Also, beautiful flowers just magically appeared every day at our villa. Marta and Barry can fill you in on all the great things to see and do - private beaches, great restaurants, and drives to remote places on the island. They are easily accessible because their home is on the property. I can't imagine returning to Provo and not staying with them!

The villa was very plush and well equipped. We would definitely stay here again if we visited Turks. It is highly recommended for the location and amenities.

This was our second stay at Harbour Club, and it was every bit as good as our first visit in late 2005. Marta and Barry are the most excellent hosts, and couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Marta did some shopping for essentials for us (beers - the supermarkets are dry on Sundays) prior to our arrival. They also gave us a ride to and from the store to re-stock the fridge during our stay. Harbour Club is well away from the main road, so the place is very quiet and peaceful. Usually the only noise you ever hear is from the occasional car on the dirt road at the bottom of the driveway. We had rented two units, one for ourselves and one for our American friends, Jeff and Cheryll. Harbour Club has six identical villas available, and each is very comfortable for two. However, this would also be a good choice for a family or a larger group. We originally chose the location based on a recommendation from Jayne and Mickey at Flamingo Divers (an easy five-minute walk around the dock). Each villa has a full kitchen, large living/dining area with additional fold-away bed, a separate queen bedroom and a bathroom with a decent shower. Outside there is a small shared pool and communal barbecue. Several of the island's dive operators moor their boats in the marina just 200 yards from the villas - making this a great base for a dive trip. Our favorite has always been Flamingo Divers, but you have plenty of choice if you can't get booked with Jayne and Mickey. Provo is a large island given its population, so unless you intend fixing your own meals every night, you'll probably want to rent a car. If you do, I suggest you avoid the airport rentals and go for one of the cheaper off-airport options. Taxis are okay for a night or two, but beyond that, they become very expensive.

I had my wedding here. |

The resort was beautiful. The best part was it was all inclusive, which kept the costs down. It's also a great place if you have kids. The food was pretty good, though not excellent. However, the scenery was top notch. We will definitely go back on our anniversary!

Normally I like to stay right on the beach. If I could set up a tent and sleep on the beach, I would! But being highly recommended, I stayed at Tradewinds. I wasn't disappointed. Even though it's not right on the beach, I could see the sparkling waters from the condo balcony, and it was just a short walk away. I had no problems getting around or finding places to eat, either. In addition, the room was clean and comfy. Overall, it was a neat place to stay!

I loved the spacious condos and the tastefully decorated, clean condo apartments at Tradewinds. When I travel, I need to feel at home and not cramped up. The spacious kitchen gave me the opportunity to cook if I wanted to. There are some good dining options within walking distance of the hotel, too (no restaurants onsite). I loved the look and feel of the well manicured gardens and pool area. It was very relaxing! Of course, there's a beautiful white sand beach nearby, which is why I love this hotel so much! I would definitely recommend it to others (especially groups or families)!

They had absolutely outstanding food. Prices were in line with other restaurants on Turks and Caicos. The complimentary champagne at the beginning the meal was a nice touch, too. Thanks for a great evening!

Words cannot express what an amazing experience Shandi and I had traveling to Turks and Caicos to be married. It was a very last minute decision, but when I spoke to Marta on the phone I knew this was the place we wanted to stay. Marta was so helpful over the phone. When we arrived and she greeted us with her wonderful smile and a hug, we knew this was out home for two weeks. Barry and Marta shared all the island secrets with us; the side roads to beaches, help arranging diving or other daily expereinces and great restaurants. They seemed to always be there when we needed some help or just wanted some company. Otherwise, they seemed to know when we wanted some alone time. We had considered going to a resort but we were so happy that we did not. At the villa we had some privacy. Marta came in daily to tidy up the villa and daily she dropped off flesh flowers, we bought groceries, and each day we would make a wonderful lunch to take with us. Nightly we enjoyed dinner at the villa at the barbecue by the pool or dinner out (it was nice to have a chioce). For our wedding Marta was amazing, and her kindness will never be forgotten. She really went above and beyond helping us that day. She was an angel. When we arrived back in Canada our life had changed. We were married and we had a new outlook on life thanks to our experience on the Turks and our time with Barry and Marta. We are already trying to plan the next trip.

Thirteen members from multiple families gathered over two weeks in late June and early July, 2009 to celebrate a college graduation of my son and the engagement of another family member. Some people stayed the entire time; others had a partial stay. Everyone loved the time they could be at the villa and on the island! The villa was homey, comfortable and utilitarian. It was exactly as described and met every one of our expectations. We were able to use our son's PC for internet, and had our own CDs for ongoing music of every kind. Access to the beach and snorkeling was as described and wonderful. The sunsets were breathtaking, but I preferred the serene mornings with coffee looking out onto the sea. The least appealing part of the place was that it gets direct sunlight from 2:30 until sunset, and the afternoon sun was very hot. We loved being able to walk to Turtle Cove (Tiki Hut, Sharkbite and one night rode up to Magnolia's for dinner; what a spectacular view of the cove and sunset). Driving on the left side of the road took some adjustment and our mantra was "hug the left" but we experienced "no problem, mon". Be sure to take the full day sail with Sail Provo, and spend time at Pine Cay. It was the most beautiful experience of my life (next to the birth of our kids!). Shannon in the office and Ryan and Patrick (Natu) on the catamaran were extraordinarily hospitable! The Graceway IGA (Leeward Hwy) is as nice a grocery store as you'll find in the states, but expect to pay for it. Ice was $2.50 a bag and a case of beer approached $40. We ended up going the Graceway Gourmet IGA (near the resorts) and could get a six pack of Bud Light for $6.99. We bought a lot of six packs! On the other hand we could get Balvenie - a great single malt scotch at the Wine cellar for $36. A tip 'o the hat to wheretostay.com for their thoroughness and follow through. Andrew Macafee is the man! Come on, book your trip!

We stayed at Pelican Vista for a week in June 2009. The villa far exceeded our expectation. The villa is beautiful, luxurious, and well maintained. We spend most of the time around the pool. The beach on Grace Bay was just a few steps away.
