We just returned from a stay at Villa Paprika, and there are not enough wonderful things our family can say about this beautiful property. We had a group of twelve staying and the layout provided enough space for us to have our own privcacy when needed, and ample space for us to share family time. We are definitely coming back to Villa Paprika for our next family vacation!

I spent one week here - from November 6 - 13. With all I had read on this site, I really didn't know what to expect. My take is that people who want to find fault with something - will.
My family and I enjoyed the Sands very much. The staff was cheerful and eager to please. Despite damage from Hurricane Ike, the resort has attended to all that needed fixing. Yes, we had some scaffolding outside our room for a day or two as they were repairing gutters, but it was no big deal. The workers were as invisible as they could be, and they got their work done in a timely fashion.
Our room was a garden view on the first floor (in building #4). We were most pleased with both the condition of the room and the daily service provided.
The beach was wonderful, and we saw JoJo three different days!
The entire island was not cheap, but we were pleased with the quality of the food - and we did try several restaurants.
All in all, I found the belongers very friendly. If the occasion presents itself, I would go back and stay at the Sands.
No matter where you are planning to go for some quality time, I would suggest that you look at all the good things you have surrounded yourself with. Your time, no matter where, will be a much better experience.

We stayed just down the beach, but dined at Hemingway's twice during our vacation. Dinner was incredible, and the service was superb.
Ask for Korna! He was attentive, personable, friendly and kind. No other dinner experience compared.
My mom had the fish and chips, which was excellent (under $14), and I had the catch of the day (which was a little more pricy, but delicious).
Our breakfast a couple of days later was tasty as well. The prices were not at all out of line. Breakfast was $8-9 per plate. I had three pancakes with slivered almonds, fresh strawberries and bananas, and whipped cream.

What an incredible location! In an effort to conserve water, we did not opt for housekeeping, but our room was very clean upon check-in.
While amenities like flat screen TVs or updated furnishings did not exist, the room was efficient. I wish there had been either a microwave or toaster, however.
The continental breakfast was toast, fruit, o.j. and coffee. There were no substitutions, but extras (eggs, a side of bacon, an English muffin) were only $2-3 additional.
Junior, the bartender on the website, was the most friendly employee at this hotel. Unfortunately, most (not all) other people were unfriendly and/or disinterested in anything resembling customer service.

We had dinner on the beach at sunset. It will set you back a pretty penny, but it is well worth the experience. This is a must on places to eat. They have the longest bar in town.

The room was a little more than a little appalling. I will start at the entrance of the room, and work my way forward.
The door only had a push-in lock (like the one you find in a some bathrooms). There was no deadbolt, or even chain lock once you are inside the room. On the right was an old timey window that had three slits that opened and closed (not very well). Because of these antiquated windows, the room got fairly humid when it rained, and it didn’t stay too cool (this could also be the poor A/C unit).
One of our rooms had a broken A/C unit, but the front desk at Club Med Turks and Caicos stated it was not broken. On the window base was a blackish colored mold that was accented very well with the mold that was growing on the window treatments.
On the left was the commode that was in a little room by itself. There was no A/C, so you had to make it quick! It got hot, and because there was a widow that opened to the outside walkway, it was always nice to think that the people walking by are going to hear you as you go.
The next door on the left was the door to the sink and shower. The bathroom door didn’t close because it appeared that when they remolded it and added a little six-inch deep table, they forget to factor in the door actually closing.
Also, the shower kept changing from hot to cold the whole time. Setting it to cold, while not ideal, will at least keep at one temperature

The Tuscany was beautiful! The three-bedroom, three-bath condos were located on the end of Grace Bay, and out of the way of the other large hotels. It felt like we had the whole end of the beach to ourselves.
The condos had comfy beds, luxury bathrooms, and a beautiful view of the ocean from the porch.
The pool was quiet and relaxing, with plenty of umbrellas and chairs. The beach also had very nice chairs and umbrellas for guests.
The staff was friendly, and the maid service was great! I had no complaints!
