This was just what we needed. Visited: June 2008 |

The villa was private, yet conveniently located. It was very comfortable, and just about everything we could need was there: sunscreen, toiletries, and plenty of snacks and drinks to get us through the first evening and the next morning.
The bedrooms each had their own bath, and were located on opposite ends of the villa (which is a nice layout if you have more than two people).
The washer and dryer were really a nice quality, and worked great. We especially enjoyed having our own little pool with a beautiful view. |

We picked the month of May to avoid hurricane season. We were fortunate that we had a few showers; the temperature was warm, but not hot; and the accommodations were perfect.
As noted in other reviews, we were amazed at the details the owner had taken care of for her guests. Everything we could need was available, and it made the visit more than perfect. We never watched the TVs because the view and the pool/jacuzzi more than enertained us.
Accessibility to Cruz Bay, the bars and restaurants made it easy for dinner arrangements. The chairs and coolers made it great to go to the beach and lounge after snorkeling and swimming. Our agent, Bob, showed us how to work everything and explained all that was available to us during our stay. He was very helpful.
The owner had provided everything we needed - and more. The candles, the bug spray, extra suntan lotion, kitchen amenities, etc., were all useful and very much appreciated.
We all four want to go back and stay at Time Out again. We had a marvelous time due in great part to our accommodations. |

This was our first trip to St. John. We picked the house on the basis of the Internet description and traveler reviews. Everything was as described. The pictures were very representative, and prior guest comments were accurate.
We loved the location convenient to Cruz Bay and up on a hill overlooking Chocolate Hole with St. Thomas in the distance. The house is excellently equipped, including a new washer and dryer (pack less and throw it in the wash mid-week) beach chairs, gas grill, coolers, snorkel equipment, hot tub and pool on the deck--Wow!
It is nicely decorated, and the air-conditioning in all the rooms is great for humid days. The owners' staff and the WhereToStay arrangements were wonderful. We'll be back!
P.S. Four wheel drive car is important for the driveway on wet days - it's steep. |

Time out was fantastic - I would highly recommend staying there. The view was awesome and everything you need was provided. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for wheretostay.com - they didn't provide us with a phone number for the person who was suppose to pick us up. Thus, once our flight was severely delayed, we had no ability to contact the person that was to meet us. This resulted in us needing to rent a hotel for a night and ultimately finding the person who let us into the villa by pure chance. There are many other places to rent this villa and I would strongly recommend doing it through someone on St. John, so if there is a problem you can actually talk to someone. |

This was our first trip to St. John. One of the best parts was returning after a day at the beach to this great villa. After the first day, we truly felt like we were home.
The villa had a great view, especially at night of St. Thomas. The pool was great, and the air conditioning kept us comfortable when we were inside. The decor was wonderful, and the details were amazing. We felt like we made a great choice. |

We were married in St. John and spent the week at Time Out. It had all the details that we could ever ask for. The view was incredible! It was great for one or two couples.
I would definitely recommend getting a four-wheel-drive for the steep driveway. This location was also ideal to get around the island. We can't wait to return! |

Time Out villa was excellent. Everything was thought of- from soap and games to play, to folding chairs and a cooler to bring to the beach.
After a day of beachcombing on one of the 40 beaches, we watched the sunset from the plunge pool on the deck every evening and the stars from the whirlpool every night.
Everything in the villa was laid out perfectly, and the staff from Where to Stay.com is very trustworthy.
I would recommend a four-wheel drive vehicle to climb the driveway if it rains. The pictures of the property that are shown are pretty accurate. |

This was a wonderful villa on a hillside overlooking Chocolate Hole in St. John (not far from Cruz Bay). We were on our honeymoon and couldn't have been happier from the moment we arrived.
The property was amazing, with fantastic views and sunsets, and a terrific deck with a pool and jacuzzi on the front of the house. It was very new, so it had every modern convenience imaginable, but the real treat was how much thought was put into every detail of the home and its furnishings.
There was a stereo with a great selection of CDs to choose from, a movie video library for quiet nights at the house, and it was appointed by someone with truly great taste - from the towels, to the color schemes, and even the kitchen ware.
We enjoyed going out at night to some great restaurants on the island. But, since this was our honeymoon, we mostly enjoyed staying in.
The photos shown for this villa were right on the money - what you see is what you get. Looking at them now after just returning home makes me wish I was still there. |
