Description:
Hakuna Matata is a large, exquisite and gated Catherineburg villa which enjoys cooling tradewinds and complete privacy from its locale within the National Park, on a green hillside above idyllic Cinnamon Beach.
As you enter the garden courtyard through dramatic 13-foot handcarved doors, fountains and flowering tropical gardens greet you.
On one side the air-conditioned Great Room offers terraces for alfresco dining in a garden setting, or covered outdoor dining overlooking Jost Van Dyke, Drake's Passage and the British Virgin islands beyond.
The air-conditioned gourmet kitchen is professionally equipped with Sub Zero and Viking appliances, along with complete cookware, table and glassware.
Across the courtyard is the handicapped-accessible and equipped bedroom/bath suite. Like Hakuna Matata three other fully-screened and air-conditioned bedrooms, this suite has its own bathroom, outdoor shower, and private terrace.
A staircase in the entry courtyard leads upstairs to two more bedroom/bath suites, one a very spacious master suite with "his" and "hers" separate baths.
Adjacent to the dramatice front terrace is a sweeping stone stairway which leads you to the pool level. Here you'll find the large freeform pool with a shallow area for children, another outdoor shower, a half bath, a boulders - and the fourth bedroom/bath suite.
Just past the circular driveway, a "jungle path" winds between boulders down to a secret place where children can find buried "treasures."
Hakuna Matata, Swahili for "No Worries," is beautifully fashioned and finely detailed with deluxe furnishings from around the world, native stonework, Moroccan tiles, and two complete CD/Stereo systems with multiple speakers.
Stone arches and columns frame unforgettable blue Caribbean views.
