It was not worth the money. Visited: February 2009 Posted by caribbean_sun The rooms are in need of a facelift. The AC works great, and the location is central and has access to many restaurants. However, if you are use to stateside hotels, this is on the Howard Johnsons level. Visited: January 2006 Posted by cupart The King Christian Hotel is fantasticly located in the old Christiansted. If you're lucky, you'll get a room with a view over the old fort and the cay. The area is very safe, and the hotel is also located 20 meters from the board walk that will take you to the nearby restaurants. You also get the warm Caribbean breeze, which is fantastic. This is not a luxury hotel, but who needs all the amenities of resorts when you are in the Caribbean? My four start rating is based on the super friendliness and the location. Also, you have Budget Car Rentals in the lobby for easy car access. The staff is very very friendly, and the rooms are always kept very clean. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there is a little coffee shop in the same building that serves fantastic coffee and basic food stuff. A five minute walk along the boardwalk will take you to the seaplane that brings you to Charlotte Amalie on St. Thomas for tax free shopping. The biggest plus is that there are hardly any tourists, as no cruise ships ports on the island of St. Croix, which is excellent. They all have a tendency to stay in Charlotte Amalie (St. Thomas). Visited: March 2002 Posted by mebobm4u I stayed here from March 18th to March 25th 2002 and my guests and I were treated just great! The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. The hotel was located on the Wharf and within feet of the shops and restaurants. The view from my room was just wonderful.
