5.0 stars This is a charming Caribbean inn. Visited: September 2006

This is a real discovery - a charming bed and breakfast style hotel that is an oasis just on the edge of Christiansted.

Unlike the other hotels in town, this feels more like a private club with a very relaxing pool, charming rooms and easy access to restaurants, nightlife, seaplane, forts, shops, etc.

The new owners seem to be doing a great job... the other guests were lots of fun and we made friends fast. There is no restaurant, but we loved Kim's for local food right around the corner.

We had air conditioning, a kitchenette, and a very nice four-poster bed. Coffee and continental breakfast got us going in the morning.

5.0 stars I highly recommend this property. Visited: December 2005

We had a simply delightful stay. This hotel is a hidden gem. It is easy to access and very, very comfortable.

The rooms are well appointed with great attention to detail. If a bed and breakfast is what you like, this is the place for you! The breakfasts did start to become a bit boring (same fare every day), but it was always ready (and how can you complain about what you're eating in such a lovely atmosphere?).

Pink Fancy Hotel was an absolute surprise on the island of St. Croix. It was amazing to come all this way and find such Like minded friends!

We loved our room and the big beautiful king-sized four poster bed, it was so romantic.

We had a wonderful stay with Matassum and David. I would recommend their place to everyone. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. Also, the grounds were gorgeous. The location was great and we enjoyed Peanut and Sally (the dogs)!

5.0 stars Pink Fancy was cool, comfortable and secure. Visited: May 2003

Every night during my stay, it was a great feeling - returning from a hot day at the beach to a clean, cool, and comfortable Pink Fancy Hotel. Everything was perfect and the price was right, too.

I travel to several islands a year looking for old coins in the sea, with a metal detector. The St. Croix beaches were mostly bare, though, and I do not think I will return.

Our room was comfortable and David was a gracious and helpful host. And David's rum cake was worth the trip at twice the price!

My wife, Amy, and I had a wonderful stay at Pink Fancy Hotel, last month.

Thank you very much for your assistance. And thank you David and Motasem, again, for your generous hospitality. Their two dogs were the best.

5.0 stars I love this hotel. It is the jewel of St. Croix Visited: March 2002

I stayed at Pink Fancy Hotel in March, 2002.

The Pink Fancy Hotel was conveniently located in downtown Christiansted. The owners, Motasem and David, made my stay truly enjoyable. They were very knowledgeable about the island.

I stayed in the room marked "Hard Labor". The name of the room didn't live up to its name. My room was simply beautiful with an antique carved bed with a matching dresser. I must mention the green antique sofa with the carved wood headboard.

I also met the most delightful couple, Mary and Bob. They were annual visitors to the Pink Fancy Hotel. They were more like newlyweds, and they were just as friendly as the two owners.

I strongly suggest that anyone visiting St.Croix to consider staying at Pink Fancy Hotel. I have much love and respect for David and Motasem.

1.0 stars An unsafe location. Visited: January 2002

As a resident of St. Croix, I can offer first-hand knowledge concerning where this inn is located and what the establishment is like. It is not "steps away" from the beach and waterfront. In order to get to town or to the waterfront, you must walk past and/or through, what are in my opinion, "questionable" areas. The only beach in the area requires that you take a boat to the cay in the harbor. Prior to moving to St. Croix, I was an unfortunate "guest" at the Pink Fancy, an experience that was by far the worst I have ever experienced in my 35 years of travel.

Once I arrived, it was clear that I was only one of two guests staying at the Pink Fancy. (Although, on the phone I was told that they were booked, and I was lucky to call right after a cancellation.) In addition to the laundry list of rules I was told about upon check-in, I was informed that the resident dogs were to stay on the ground level of the grounds so that they could warn anyone of intruders that may get through the iron bars surrounding the inn. I was then instructed that there is only one way I should walk to town. One of the owners walked me along the route and repeatedly stressed that I never stray from the exact streets/route he showed me. Nice.

5.0 stars Our Trip Was Wonderful! Visited: January 2002
Posted by rwright
We recently spent 8 days on Saint Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands and we certainly will return. One of the reasons our trip was so wonderful was due to the hotel we ended up selecting, totally by accident. It was the Pink Fancy Hotel in the town of Christiansted.

When we arrived and walked through the gates we knew we had found a hidden treasure. The main building was first constructed in the 18th century. It has had many lives over the centuries, once as a private home for a famous Broadway actress. The current owners took over the hotel about 3 years ago and began a major renovation. Many locals, when told of where we were staying, told us how proud they are of the renovation of the old hotel. The grounds are lusciously landscaped with tropical plants, flowers, fountains and walking paths. In the center of the complex is a beautiful tile pool, perfectly shaded on one side, with bright sun shining down on the other. The owners, using tropical vegetation and comfortable furniture, have created and are still constructing several areas around the grounds where you can go to simply get away and relax.

But the real attractions at the Pink Fancy are its rooms, especially if you enjoy antique Victorian furniture. The new owners once owned an antique shop and they have furnished each room with collectibles. From Empire dressers to Eastlake desks to large king-sized four-poster beds, the rooms at the Pink Fancy are almost too good to be true.

The location of the hotel was perfect. It is within 3 blocks of the main shopping and tourist areas—close enough to walk to, but far enough away to be out of the noise. The owners, David and Motasem, are very friendly and knowledgeable. They greet you as you come and go and provide a continental breakfast each morning. They go out of their way booking tours, advising on restaurants, getting reservations, and doing all they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We certainly hope to return soon.

5.0 stars It is real the jewel of St. Croix Visited: October 2000

Pink Fancy Hotel is a welcome haven from any big city hectic living. It is classic and romantic. Its warm, inviting atmosphere combines contemporary lifestyle with traditional graciousness and evokes images of a timeless past amidst elegant West Indies period
Furnishings: four-poster canopy beds, Oriental carpets and antique furnishings.

Pink Fancy Hotel is the place to stay for comfort, personal service and attention to detail. The individually furnished guest rooms are tastefully decorated with rich fabric, antique furnishings and state-of-the-art amenities such as a two-line telephone with data port.

This classy hotel, the only historic hotel on St.Croix, was renovated and refurbished in the year 2000.

4.0 stars I stayed at Pink Fancy Hotel, and my parents after me. Visited: November 1999

When I went to St. Croix with my parents for Thanksgiving, they stayed at their timeshare hotel and we stayed at the Pink Fancy Hotel. We could not have been more delighted. The hotel is fairly inexpensive for what it offers and has a charm I have not often found in hotels. The Pink Fancy is registered in the National Historic Registry and has the oldest pool on the island. We stayed in a sizable room by the poolside which had beautiful mahogany floors. The owners of the small hotel play an active role in the running of it, offering beverages after one returns from a day of sightseeing. My parents saw how much we liked it and this year when their hotel was out of service due to the hurricane, they stayed at The Pink Fancy Hotel where they had a wonderful time.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AND HONESTLY HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY ABOUT IT.(WE LOVE IT)
