It was poor to moderate. Visited: March 2008 Posted by danest13 I am guessing the rave review I saw here was written by the owner - or a friend. The horses were pretty to look at, but old and bit weathered. The accommodations were sparse, and the food was not very good for the price. The staff (if you can call the two people we met staff) was helpful - when we could find them. If you plan to stay on the west side of the island (if you want luxury you want the east side or north shore) then stay at "cottages" or the one right next to it. 1 users found this review helpful. 1 found this review unhelpful. Visited: February 2005 Posted by pduvals Sprat Hall Plantation is the best hotel on the west end of the island of St. Croix. Judy is the best. Her mom Joyce makes you feel right at home. The trail rides in the rainforest are to die for. The horses are very well loved and spoiled by Judy. If there is ever a time that I can go back, I will stay at Sprat Hall. Poor air conditioning, toilet not working, TV not working and overall appearance of the house was poor. Innkeepers were not there to check us in. Offered breakfast - not served. The horses they advertise are undernourished and poorly groomed. The restaurant attached to the plantation was extremely expensive. Would not recommend staying at Sprat Hall or on that side of the island. I stayed here for five months in the mid 70s. Visited: December 1969 Posted by warrantseabeediver We, a group of Navy divers from Underwater Construction Team One, stayed here and used it for our lodging, and base of operations. We were working on a Navy Project offshore of Sandy Point. We supplied the Plantation with Queen Conch, and went with them on their fresh seafood trips. We were treated very well the whole time.
