My husband and I have been coming to St. John for six years, and returned this fall, spending six days at Battery Hill. We were in the condominium known as "Palm Breezes". It has wonderful 280 degree views and is well decorated and furnished.
The three teenagers (our daughter and two friends) with us enjoyed the spacious and private upstairs loft, while we took over the downstairs master bedroom.
The location was perfect for a family--the kids could walk down into town for shopping or a smoothie, while we hung out on the balcony, enjoying the views. The beaches were a short drive away, and restaurants were just a quick walk into town.
We loved Battery Hill, and will definitely be back! |

My friend and I started visiting St. John and staying at Caneel and the Westin. Both were very nice, but as we became more comfortable with the island, we decided to experiment with un-hotel-like spots.
We began with Gallows two years ago, and eventually migrated up the hill to Battery Hill. The first stay here was very pleasant, so we returned this September and stayed in "Panacea." The manager was wonderful, and the unit itself was fresh, bright and delightfully decorated.
It has been a great discovery! Battery Hill has turned out to be the perfect blend of location, comfort and privacy and we'll return for sure! |

We first visited Battery Hill in 2001 having rented hillside villas on Gifft Hill and staying at the Hyatt/Westin.
Battery Hill's views, accommodations - especially having cooking facilities all coupled with the daily rates far surpassed any other value package.
Its proximity to town (especially the Beach Bar) was great since we had no problem leaving the pre-teen kids alone while we recreated.
I will be back, and soon |

We stayed in the aptly named "Harbor View" with four grandchildren. They loved the pool and we loved the convenience of two full baths (one newly built).
The BBQ by the pool made this complex and this unit perfect for family vacations. Two queen sized beds and two twins made for good sleeping for lots of folks old and young. |

Battery Hill is a small (only nine units) condo complex on a hillside overlooking Cruz Bay. When they say close to town, they mean it. From the ferry landing, it's a leisurely 10-15 minute walk up the hill. Translation: in addition to the reasonable room rates, there is no need to fork over $75/day for a rental Jeep just to get to town, so at the end of the day, you've got more bucks to drop on one of the several fantastic restaurants, which, yes, are all within walking distance.
We stayed in "Tropical Breeze," one of the larger units, and undisputably the unit with the best views. The unit was very comfortable with full kitchen and a deck, the view from which was awe inspiring. The pool area was neat and well maintained as was the entire complex. Noise? Sorry, didn't notice any.
Will we go back? You bet! |

We stayed previously at Gallows, Lavender, and Westin. Battery Hill was a pleasant surprise.
We had a great view, it was in a nice location, and the pool and accommodations were superb.
We will return. |

This was an alternative to Gallows Point where we stayed during our last visit. This was less diluted by an overload of honeymooners.
Gallows was too hot with no breeze. Battery Hill was about 80 feet above the water with great breezes and wonderful views. The management was accommodating and our unit, Panacea, was detailed to the hilt. We can't wait to return. |

This was our fourth stay at Battery Hill. Formerly known as "B-l", "Panacea" has been remodeled again (didn't need it) and has bright, tasteful decor and literally everything you could possibly need.
There is a fantastic sunset view off of the deck looking west toward St. Thomas.
The property is well-maintained, the managers are friendly and accommodating. We consider Battery Hill to be a good value. We will be back again for sure! |

My husband and I stayed in Rainbows End for two weeks, two years ago for our honeymoon, and returned this year with friends for a 10-day vacation.
The condo was close to everything, and the views were spectacular! It was a wonderful place to come home to after a day of shopping in St. Thomas, deep sea fishing, chartering a boat to the BVIs or just spending the whole day on one of the islands best beaches.
The nightclub music, which was usually very loud, could be easily remedied by closing the glass turn windows and turning on the a/c when it was time to go to bed.
The condo was clean, the neighbors were friendly and the beach towels were always dry. |

We stayed in the "cottage" last summer for 2 weeks and loved it! We love this island with all our hearts and have visited here many times.
The cottage was perfect for two people, and we could walk to Woody's or Joe's BBQ for beer and dinner really easily. It's our favortie place to stay for 2 people in St. John. You can't go wrong here.....spend your days at the beach and then come back to dip in the pool and sit and watch the sunsets!
We love you Christy! |

Our family of four adults spent 8 nights at a Tropical Breezes unit at Battery Hill the first week of August and loved every minute of it.
The view is not to be believed and the unit is well furnished and quite comfortable. Even though the bedrooms were the only rooms that were air conditioned, the unit was never hot and we always had a nice breeze. There was noise that filtered up from town but we enjoyed the spirit of the town. When we were in our bedrooms with the air conditioning on, we couldn't hear any town noises, only the wonderful sounds of the chirping frogs! It was only a short walk into town, which made it very accessible to restaurants and shops.
We hope to be able to stay here again and again, as we all loved it! The staff was also very accommodating.

The condominiums and the staff were outstanding. The views were incredible and the condominium was comfortable, clean and convenient. However, blaring live music from the bars in Cruz Bay until wee hours of the night (almost every night of our 10-day trip) pretty much spoiled the trip. |

| Perched on a hillside overlooking St. John's main town of Cruz Bay, Battery Hill Condominiums offer great views, close-to-town convenience, and modern tropical accommodations. Stairs connect the units, so you'll face a bit of a trek up and down to get to your unit. The multi-level condominiums... |
