1.0 stars I will never return to Club St. Croix. Visited: April 2006

I found worn furniture that was in "throw away" condition. I thought the bathroom was an ugly blue with an ugly shower curtain. Also, the sliding doors fell off track.

In addition, the restaraunt did not serve breakfast. However, the dinner food was good. There were no amenities - they only had tennis courts and a pool.

It was located in the middle of shaky residential neighborhood, and I didn't think it was too comforting to go out walking.

1.0 stars Extremely disappointed. Visited: March 2003

This hotel is close to town, but I felt like safety of the surrounding area was questionable. Some of the staff was very nice and tried to be accommodating. However, it took us over an hour to check in. The furniture in our room was old and worn, the screen door was falling off, and the air conditioner was loud. There were dirty sheets on the pull out couch from previous clients. We were so disgusted by that we asked to switch rooms the next morning. They said that nothing was available, but on the 3rd day we found out there were other vacancies. The clerk could not figure out how to do the transfer so we were not able to switch rooms until the manager came in the following day.

The beach was small and rocky, so we could not go in the water. There was horse manure on the beach, but where's the horse? Bird droppings were all around and in the small pool; do not go after dark. The view from the balcony was very nice if you looked straight ahead, but lean an inch to the right and you have a clear view of a power plant.

4.0 stars Great resort for families. Visited: November 2001

Club St Croix is a wonderful place for a family. Our unit had a full kitchen, equipped with everything from a microwave to a dishwasher, a breakfast bar, nicely sized living room and a great outdoor balcony with fantastic ocean views.

The restaurant at the hotel has the best Sunday brunch. The pool had a swim-up bar, and the beach stretched for miles.

Our room was perfectly maintained, and the staff was wonderful. We highly recommend Club St. Croix.

4.0 stars A very nice resort. Visited: March 2001

Club St. Croix is a laid-back place to stay. The restaurant is excellent-- one of the best on the island and it's right off the pool with a beautiful view of the Caribbean. The watersport shop is erratic and is the only downside.

1.0 stars The brochure looks great, but the place wasn't! Visited: March 2000

The brochure looks great, but the place wasn't! The room was mediocre. The screen was falling off the sliding door and the air-conditioning (window unit) was so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think.

It is oceanfront, but be careful where your room is located. We had a beautiful view of the restaurant roof and water treatment plant! Also, the sea urchins were so bad that we couldn’t go in! The dive shop that supposedly was on the premises "mysteriously" closed one night.

We called our travel agent and had him find us something else immediately.
