5.0 stars This is an amazing place to stay. Visited: March 2009

My wife and I spent a night here on our way to St. John. We were amazed at not only the quality of the accommodations, but also, by the ambiance.

The property was located on top of a hill to the east of Charlotte Amalie and the room (No. 6) that we occupied, had an amazing (there's that word again) view overlooking the bay and the evening's sunset.

The room had a very comfortable four-poster bed, a lovely tiled bathroom with step-down shower, a well-equipped kitchenette with china cups and plates, and a private balcony.

The patio and pool areas were immaculate, surrounded by beautiful flowers. The owner/hostess, Bianca, was charming and even sent us warm bagels in a linen-lined basket in the morning.

Everything was upper-class, and the location was perfect with shopping nearby. We would highly recommend this place for a night-over coming or going to St. John or the BVIs (it helped us transition to "island time"), or for an intimate week with a loved one.

It was not a scene to party at, but was modeled more for the honeymooners or family who want a quiet, safe place to nest.

We would return here in a heart beat, and there are not many places we have stayed at that would entice us not to try other parts of the island or accommodations.

4.0 stars Villa Blanca is a quiet and clean retreat above the city. Visited: November 2005
Posted by nottis
We stayed upstairs for two nights in November 2005, and loved the space and the view from the balcony. Our travel companions stayed down in one of the cottage rooms.

While the cottage room didn't have the view of the main house rooms, it was large and had a nice table on the deck for eating breakfast. Villa Blanca is a great place to return to after spending our day shopping or on a beach in St. Thomas.

Don't forget, Blanca is a most gracious hostess and one of the nicest ladies we've had the pleasure to meet!

4.0 stars The Villa Blanca Hotel was pretty good overall. Visited: March 2005

We stayed in unit number three for two days. This was a pretty place with a great view. It took a minute to get used to the iron gate out to the patio. But it allowed us to leave the patio door open to keep the room cool while we were out at the pool and not worry about getting ripped off.

The pool was nice, and Charlotta (who helped us while Blanca was out) was very friendly. Bagels on the door in the morning were convenient, if not anything special in the bagel department.

This place turned out to be a lot quieter than the Island View where we stayed one night on the same trip. The light pollution was also not as bad, so we could really get our room nice and dark for sleeping.

Only the guest next door in unit two who decided loud TV at 5:30 am was the way to go on our last night there interrupted our peace and quiet at all. He was nice enough to turn off his TV after I knocked on his door and asked him to.

Anyway, we would recommend this place. It is not deluxe, but it is nice and quiet and the people were good to us.

5.0 stars Thee Place To Stay!! Visited: February 2005

After a year off of not going to the USVI (due to illness on my part kidney stones, ugh) we were able to go back for 2 weeks and had the pleasure of going back to the Villa Blanca. Once again we were not disappointed. Our 12 time at the Villa Blanca. We would never consider any other place. we always have room 7. The views are spectacular. One side you can see the BVI and the other side all of Charlotte Amalie Harbor with the cruise ships lined up. I advise you bring binoculars. You can see the planes coming & going.
And of course the most important thing is the hostess, Blanca Smith, was most gracious with all her guest. You feel like your part of family. I dislike using the phrase "we stayed at a hotel" because its moren than that when the host invites for some appetizers & wine. Like I said in my previous review The Villa Blanca makes it just perfect for us & we look forward in going again next year. We are thinking of going for 3 weeks. Thanks Blanca again for everything. I could go on & on!

5.0 stars The most beautiful people and view on St. Thomas can be found at Villa Blanca Hotel. Visited: January 2005

I only wish I could stay at Villa Blanca forever. You will not find a more friendly reception anywhere in your travels than one you receive from the hostess and owners Blanca and her son Eugene.

The quality time I have spent at Villa Blanca can never be replaced. The views from the balcony are spectacular - not to mention the sunsets.

Whether it be a holiday, honeymoon, or one of your romantic island destinations, Villa Blanca will always be on top of my list. They offer peace and quiet. It is a perfect place to escape from it all. You will not be dissapointed.

5.0 stars This was a very comfortable villa! Visited: May 2004

I stayed at the Villa Blanca for two weeks in May/June (2004) while visiting the VIs.

The villa was very comfortable (a/c, ceiling fan, queen bed, cable tv, etc.) and it was clean! Blanca Smith was a very nice host!

I would recommend the Villa Blanca to anyone and I plan to stay here again on my next visit to the islands! P.S. The snorkeling is superb and for a great "day sail" try the Horizons II!

5.0 stars We would not stay any other place. Visited: February 2003

My wife and I have been going to St. Thomas for at least 20 to 25 years and have stayed many places. Finding The Villa Blanca Hotel was the jewel we wanted. It has the perfect location, accommodations, view and a most gracious host in its owner, Blanca Smith.

We have been staying here for at least the last ten years and would never consider any other place. We will be back in February 2004 and cannot wait to see Blanca. She is a most perfect host who really is concerned for her guests. We just love St. Thomas and St. John, and have never considered any other place. Villa Blanca makes it perfect for us.

The Villa Blanca offers a quiet retreat above the harbor with a great view right from your room. The room offers all you need to eat in, and bagels are brought to your room each morning. The location is very convenient if you want to spend time at different beaches and explore the island.

We stayed at Villa Blanca in February 2003 and enjoyed every minute. The location is up on a hill which gives you a great view of the harbor but you are just minutes (by car) from downtown and all the restaurants in the Charlotte Amalie area.

The rooms are spacious with air conditioning, cable TV, a kitchenette and a private balcony. The bagels delivered to your room in the morning is a great start to the day. There is a pool and a deck area and everyone is very helpful - especially Blanca.

The view is incredible!! The staff and service was outstanding! The room was beautiful. We stayed in the honeymoon suite with a four poster king-size bed, a huge all-tile shower and a kitchen. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there when visiting St. Thomas.
