It was right on the beach, and we were right at home. Visited: August 2009 |

| We swam morning, noon and night. We used all the free extras -fins, snorkels, masks, floats, bikes, board games, beach towels, and the hammock. We also enjoyed watching the sunset on our patio. We appreciated the full kitchen, too. The staff made us feel at home, and helped with directions and numbers. We loved it. We will stay here again and again. |

| The resort was fabulous! Marc and the staff were wonderful. The views were incredible, and the beach was right outside my door. It was quiet and relaxing, and close to everything. If you need more than that, add the gorgeous water, warm sun and a beach chair! I can't wait to go back. |

| We enjoyed St. Croix, and the villa was fantastic. The only problem was that we had to come back to reality. Please do something about that! Thanks to Anne for all her help. |

The Best Vacation Decision we ever made Royal Palms Visited: April 2009 |
|
| Posted by auctione47 | |
| My Sister In-Law/Best Friend, Lee, wrote nice comments in the book in the house from all of us, however, I just wanted to also state just how much we loved the house. Everyone was in agreement, Royal Palms was the best vacation rental in our combined travel history. The pictures were stunning but when you actually see the house you are blown away. We all felt so at home as soon as we arrived. The owner has a special gift for designing and decorating the perfect living environment. St Croix is beautiful and Royal Palms is spectacular. Here's the down side...You will be spoiled for every other vacation you ever take because you will compare it to the Royal Palms in St Croix. |

| I was fortunate to stay at Cottages late in March 2009. I had a wonderful trip, it was so relaxing and laid back. I was traveling alone and felt very safe on the property at night. The staff was wonderful, and the ladies kept my room nice and clean. I did do some site seeing while on the island, but the favorite was watching the sunsets on the beach. I have been to a lot of other islands, and I think this was one of the best beaches I have been on. It was quiet, not crowded and so very peaceful. This was a resort where you can rest and relax. It was just very family oriented. The Benedict family were wonderful hosts and did as much to make me feel welcomed. I hope to be back next year. |

It far exceeded our expectations! Visited: February 2009 |

| I don't normally write reviews about where I've been. However, I had to write about St. Croix and Villa Madeleine. We honeymooned here in February. The villa and the people on the island far exceeded our expectations. We expected some minor glitches here and there, but everything was perfect. St. Croix gives you the tourist stuff in town while the villa (a short drive away) gives you quiet seclusion. If you are looking for Hawaii, this is not the place. However, if you are looking for a less crowded tourist spot with extremely polite locals and beautiful beaches - St. Croix is for you. I'm sure everything isn't perfect on the island, but you will not be disappointed with anything from Villa Madeleine. The villa's private pools are thoroughly maintained - as are the grounds. Anne seems to work seven days a week. I've emailed simple questions to her on Sunday, and she always replied back within a few hours. She made sure everything was ready for us and that we loved our stay here. If it wasn't for our family in the states, we would move here! Thanks again Anne. We will be back! |

We received terrible service, and the management was grumpy. |

| First of all, it took ten minutes to be acknolwledged by the wait staff. By the time we placed our drink order, we were starving. It took another ten minutes just to get our drinks, and it wasn't even that busy. The food was okay...but we won't be back. Don't waste your time here. |

I had a terrible experience - stay away. Visited: July 2008 |

| This place was a dump. I stayed in the penthouse suite. It was supposed to be a nicer room than standard rooms. If it is, I would hate to see the standard rooms. The door wouldn't lock, the room was full of ants and other bugs, and the windows would not shut. The air conditioning consisted of two junky window units. The appliances were rusty, and the room was filthy. I could smell the dumpsters. In addition, the electricity was messed up, and only half of the lights worked. The pool was filthy, and there were cats everywhere. I loved St. Croix, but will never stay at this dump again. I want to warn as many people as I can. Stay away! It was a terrible waste of money. The pictures on their web site looked really nice. That is what convinced me. Boy was I wrong! It was a real dump. They need to take updated pictures, and the place needs to be condemned and torn down. |

| We were just passing by heading to another restaurant to meet friends. We stopped in for a pre-dinner cocktail. The bartender knew his wines, and gave us a quick wine tasting tour. We were laughing and having so much fun we almost missed our dinner date! During the rest of our week stay, we ate every fantastic dinner at Zebo's. The service was great. Everyone around us had a wonderful time. It made all of our vacation time great. |

This is a great romantic getaway. Visited: February 2009 |

| My partner and I have been going to Sand Castle On the Beach for the last five years. We first found the hotel when looking for a quiet, romantic getaway in the Caribbean - one where two adult men in their 40s would feel comfortable. This place was perfect! It is a small hotel with approximately 20 rooms. It is secluded, and there are other fun couples here (both straight and gay). They also have an open-air restaurant with stunning sunsets, friendly staff, two pools and a beautiful, sandy beach. We love the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel, and each time we go, we meet really great people from around the world. For us, each day consists of an early swim at the beach and then some type of activity. On this past trip we went snorkeling (right at the hotel's beach), 4-wheel driving with Tan Tan Jeep Tours (with a stop for a swim at a quiet tide pool), did yoga under a magnificent tree on the hotel's property and just lounged around with a book on the hammock. To us, this is what vacation is all about! We stayed in one of their beachfront villas. It was a large unit with a living room, kitchen, bathroom and private bedroom. These units are our favorite because they are right on the beach, and have a deck with table and chairs giving us front-row seats to the spectacular sunsets each day. The room was moderately priced in comparison to other hotels in the Caribbean. But unlike other big name hotels, there were not hundreds of guests running around. In addition, the villas here are much more affordable. They also have an open-air restaurant (Beachside Cafe) - right on the beach. Being from NY we can honestly say that the food here is very good and each year it just gets better! Sunday Brunch is our favorite. You should definitely try one of their Bloody Marys! The price for dinner in St. Croix is very similar to St. John and St. Thomas. In the Caribbean, good food costs a little more - but still cheaper than a typical NY restaurant. It is well worth it given the quality and amount served (we always went home with a doggie bag). We are looking forward to our next trip. |

| The Hibiscus is truly a boutique resort. The staff here made us feel like old friends. Also, they were great with our eight-year-old son. Our room had a king and a double bed and a cathedral ceiling. It was also right on the beach. The restaurant, Elizabeth's H20, was one of the best on the island - and the locals eat there. It was a great week, and we plan to return. |

Concerns Visited: March 2009 |

| Sam & Laurie Messina March 23, 2009 For many years we have vacation in St. Croix with our family. Now that our children have grown up and have went to college we no longer rent a home on the Island. So for an easy and inexpensive way We decided to stay at Cheney Bay, because we enjoy the place so much. From March 13th to March 18th we vacation at your place Unit #37. Our room was quaint and clean, with an OK view of the Ocean. But the problem seem to be at night, At first I thought it was (no-seemes) those pesty little bugs biting us. But when I got home and noticed Bed Bugs I freaked! I check the Internet to see what the symptoms where and low and behold Bed Bug Bites. I was reluctant write but I felt I had too. I enjoy the trip very much and I want to see if any one has the same complaint as I do. When home, I had to fumigate my bedroom and luggage because of those little pests. I hope you can correct the problem, because I would love to come back next year. Our Concern Sam & Laurie Very nice to hear comments from our resort guests particularly those who have seen the positive changes over the last 18 months. We always appreciate guests taking time to highlight their resort experience. Our number one goal is to deliver a quality resort experience including guest safety. Upon reading your comments, the resort manager was immediately contacted. That unit was taken out of service for a detailed health and safety inspection. When inspected, no evidence of bed bugs was found. Our repeat inspection protocol will be followed to ensure that no trace might have been missed. The safety and well-being of our resort guests is always top of mind for all our staff. When you plan your return visit, you can be assured only a friendly resort staff will greet you…no bed bugs. This was a wonderful, inimate hotel by the sea. Visited: February 2009 |

| For our first vacation on St. Croix, we were looking for a hotel on the beach, with an ocean view from our room, where we could relax in a friendly, laid back atmosphere with a good restaurant and bar very close at hand. We found a gem: the Hibiscus Beach. If you are looking for a huge, fancy resort with on-site tennis and golf, this is not the place. However, if you are looking for a friendly, laid back, intimate hotel with lovely guest rooms and grounds in a beautiful seaside location, you will love the Hibiscus Beach. There were 35 guest rooms, all with ocean views, that were well-equipped, beautifully furnished, recently updated, and set in several separate two-story buildings nestled among the tall palms and private beach, within 100 feet of the sea. There also was a swimming pool. The Hibiscus Beach staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent, and the location of the resort was on a quiet part of St. Croix's north shore was just minutes from Christiansted. A "welcome" rum punch, daily continental breakfast, snorkeling gear, and beach towels were also provided. Within the Hibiscus property, and just 20 feet from the sea, was Elizabeth's H 2 O, a separately owned, open-air restaurant offering consistently excellent food (breakfast, lunch & dinner), a great bar, and delightful, attentive staff. The Hibiscus Beach was everything we were looking for and much more! We recommend the Hibiscus Beach highly and look forward to returning. |

| The rooms are in need of a facelift. The AC works great, and the location is central and has access to many restaurants. However, if you are use to stateside hotels, this is on the Howard Johnsons level. They offer free contentinal breakfast in a hot dining area, and noon checkout. |

| The food was okay. The thing that got me the most was that there was a girl who looked to be about 16 or 17 who had a sheet room made on the beach. I wasn't sure why, and the thought of what she might be doing made me lose my appetite. The restaurant was on the beach. It was just a weird experience. We left after we ate, and she seemed to be hanging around our car when we left! |
