This was a perfection location! Visited: January 2007 Posted by jmom99 My family and I just got back from our first trip to Placencia and Chabil Mar Villas. We absolutely loved it here, and this will not be our last trip! We will be back! The resort was outstanding. They were luxury accommodations, but not pretentious. We loved the fact that we could order room service and have it served anywhere on the property, or cook in our own condo. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to make a gourmet meal or just a quick snack. The condo was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The resort's grounds were lovely as well, with lush gardens, two infinity edge pools, a dock over the Caribbean, and an outside bar and grills. It is a great place for a family. My eight-year-old son had a blast, and perhaps one of his favorite things about Chabil Mar were the golf carts! Chabil Mar was close enough to walk to the village, but they also had golf carts available for the guests. I checked out many other resorts in Placencia while visiting, and I can truly say that Chabil Mar Villas was the best choice for our family. 7 users found this review helpful. 0 found this review unhelpful. The accommodations were five-star, the food was fantastic, and the service excellent. I loved Placencia Village and the many restaurants. The peace and unhurried lifstyle were such a joy that returning to the states was almost painful. You have to come here to experience it. Visited: June 2006 Posted by hkirshner This is a wonderful, small resort. The villas are all luxurious with views of the ocean. Also, the staff is very friendly. It's beutifully appointed, and an easy beach walk to Placencia Village Visited: May 2006 Posted by meburgeiii I have stayed at Chabil Mar Villas on two occasions. They are, ndeed, beautifully landscaped and exquisitly appointed accommodations. Not to be overlooked is that it is on the paved road south of the airport and within a ten minute walk to the Village. The road north of the airport, where almost all luxury villas are located, can be dusty and are not an easy walk, much less drive, to the Village, and Chabil Mar Villas offers golf carts as well. I really enjoy the peacefulness of Chabil Mar Villas; the friendly staff; and the kitchen and bar on the premises with eating available at my villa, at the pool or on the beach.
